We chose Cape Arundel Inn & Resort for a birthday weekend, but unfortunately our stay in the Club House did not come close to meeting expectations, especially for the price. The building felt dated and neglected. The room had a window air conditioner that made loud noise, stained dark carpeting, cracked walls, and spider webs in the shower. Overall, it lacked the quality and upkeep. The room had no view, and felt dark and depressing, to the point that we spent as much time away from it as possible and only returned when we were ready to sleep. One evening we returned around 9:30 p.m. and found that there were no parking spaces available. The Club House also feels detached from the rest of the resort. Although it's described as being about one-third of a mile from the Main House it was half a mile away and it doesn't even feel like part of the same property. I can't comment on the Main House since I didn't stay there. However, if you're considering this resort, I recommend confirming exactly which building you're reserving. Based on my experience, the Club House was a very poor value for the price.

My husband and I were exceedingly pleased with our stay at Cape Arundel. The entire team is delightful and we especially appreciated the warm reception and hospitality that Christie provided to us. Communication before our arrival was comprehensive and very helpful. Our room in the main building was beautifully decorated and afforded lovely views of the sea. It was very comfortable and quiet and we slept well. We only wish we could have stayed longer. While the bathroom was compact, it was laid out well to utilize the space and there was plenty of room for personal toiletries. We didn’t have breakfast but dinner at Ocean was excellent. The dining room is airy and elegant with killer views. Service was attentive and personable and the food and wine were excellent. We liked being able to construct our own menu from the different groups and decided to skip dessert and eat 3 savory courses.

This is our second time staying at Cape Arundel and we know for sure we will be back! It is a charming inn - the location on Ocean Avenue with the dramatic view of the ocean was gorgeous! The sea crest rooms overlooking the water were cozy and charming! The best part of this place is the service - kudos to Christy and Shirin for exemplary service- going above and beyond at every step. We wanted to take some home made blueberry jam back with us and they provided us with a gift bag with the jams. Our rooms were a bit chilly and Christy left us a heater with a note. There is tea and coffee always available and free bottled water. The Ocean restaurant is excellent - we had a fabulous 3 course dinner and since we were 5 of us we got to taste many dishes. If there is one constructive feedback - I would say the following - we were disappointed with the baked goods provided at breakfast - the croissant was doughy-seemed like it was from a box that had been defrosted and the blueberry muffin was sad too! On the other hand, the yogurt with granola and berries and the avocado toast were excellent. All in all it was an amazing stay and we will be back again!

The hospitality at The Arundel Inn truly was the warmest I have ever experienced! Christy, the host, is wonderful-- she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome; everything was handled with warmth and care. Albert, the concierge, also is kind and very helpful.

We decided to stay here last minute on our anniversary. The minute we walked in, it was so warm and inviting. The fireplace was lit, wine and cheese were laid out. We had an room with a gorgeous view of the ocean and the garden. It was so nice to be close to the main town center, yet far enough from all the traffic going through the center. Breakfast in the gorgeous dining room was perfect and our server was so sweet. She did a great job. We will stay there again if we are in the area.
