My husband and I spent 3 relaxing nights over the Christmas holiday at Keswick Hall. It is a lovely property with various rooms and nooks to gather or sit quietly, including a billiards room, a library, a bar, a small coffee shop, and two larger sitting rooms behind the front desk. Our room was spacious, clean, modern, quiet and comfortable and had a large terrace overlooking the beautiful golf course. We lucked out and had warm weather on our first day, enabling us to enjoy the terracein winter. The hotel has a low-key vibe for the holidays with subtle decorations. Families with small children visiting over the holiday may prefer a facility that has children activities. Water bottles are provided in the room, with water filling stations located on each floor. Turndown service is provided, but no chocolates are given. I thought that at least a small treat might be left on Christmas Eve. The main restaurant, Marigold, the spa, the fitness center and the tennis center are in separate buildings so you have to go outside to access them. But it only was about a 1-3 minute walk to any of the buildings. A big umbrella was provided in the room in case of inclement weather. The food at Marigold's was excellent. We got great massages at the beautiful spa. The spa has a wonderful relaxation room, with chaise lounges that look out onto a wooded section of the property. While the spa lacks a hot tub, very nice steam room and sauna are available. The fitness center is well-equipped, including two peloton bikes and a fitness room where some morning classes are held (unsure if they are complimentary). Bicycles are available too. You are allowed to walk along the residential area within the property (two routes of 2-4 miles), but you are not allowed to walk along the golf cart paths during the off-hours. The property had various tennis courts, two pickleball courts and two outdoor pools. The main pool, adjacent to the main hotel, was undergoing maintenance during our stay. It looks like it is stunning. The family pool, at the tennis court facility, was very nice and open during our stay, heated to 85 degrees. But I believe it closes soon for the balance of the winter. Charlottesville's Downtown Pedestrian Mall is maybe a 15-min drive. Montepelier, James Monroe's house, is a 35 minute drive and well worth a visit. Monticello and U of VA are nearby too along with a wide variety of hikes. We did the short, 5-mile Blue Ridge Tunnel hike, maybe a 30 minute drive. We also spotted a couple of vineyards. In other words, plenty to do in the picturesque area if you want to go off property. I definitely would visit again.

Top notch hotel with great service and amenities. We loved our stay at Keswick and celebrated our anniversary during our stay. Restaurant on site is delicious. We ate there several times. Highly recommend and be sure to try the spa! Loved the gift shops on property and the BMW cars available for daytime activities. Will return.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Keswick Hall. This was our first visit here for a 3-night stay, retirement celebration. Room rates are expensive, but the hotel is exquisite. Gorgeous, high-end common areas, beautiful hotel room with balcony, meticulously-maintained grounds and stunning adult pool. The service from every staff member was five-star. Casey, (front desk manager?) went above-and-beyond to make our stay special. The restaurant, Marigold, was great with a varied menu and prices ranging from pizzas to steaks. The food was delicious. We fell in love with Keswick Hall and will definitely be back.

Our stay at Keswick was wonderful with a couple small suggestions to make it even better. First get rid of the single ply airport toilet tissue! Secondly, if you’re going to charge $150+ for a Ribeye please sever prime at the least, ordered one to split and could hardly chew it.
Now for all the positives; it’s been 20 yrs or so since our last visit and what an incredible job of a redo. As a high end builder I notice all the architectural details and designs including furniture and fixtures. Keswick is as good as any Ritz or Four Seasons resort I’ve been fortunate to experience. The staff is superbly trained and friendly and in today’s world that’s not an easy task. The indoor and outdoor bars were tastefully designed with ample staff also.
This is a hidden GEM in my opinion and while I live only an hour away I can’t wait to come back. Well done to all involved

We would definitely recommend Keswick Hall to all of our friends, golfers or not. We were delighted with the suite, and we even had a lovely balcony. The hotel restaurant was lovely - both the food and service were excellent. Our experience was wonderful...
