Waterfall Resort

Absolutely stunning views throughout the experience. From the float plane ride in to the daily fishing excursions. Fishing was amazing. Our Boat Captain Rico did an outstanding job. He was encouraging, subtle in his guidance, laid back, played great tunes, and was awesome to be around. All of our meals were all you can eat, a great selection, and were delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The entire staff was professional, welcoming and a joy to be around. We saw Orcas, bald eagles, bears, deer, sea lions, grey whales. Last but not least, bringing home the fish was a breeze. It was waiting for me when I disembarked my plane. What a trip of a lifetime!!!!!

Dirks was our captain and guide on our first rip to Waterfall Resort. He made our trip! He worked so hard and took such great care of us. He listed to what we wanted from our trip and he made it happen. Waterfall is run with an amazing team of people who want to be there and want you to have an amazing experience. Every step of our experience went like clockwork. We were off the float plane and on the deck of our fish boat in less than 30 minutes after arrival! Rooms were beautiful and spotless. The food was in the dinning hall was outstanding. Fresh caught shrimp, crab salmon , cod , smoked / grilled steak , pork chops and leg of lamb is just an example of the carnivore offerings at dinner. We went for a mixed bag for catch. Dirks took us to marvelous and beautiful fishing spots. Pink salmon , king salmon , grouper, yellow eye , vermilion, greenling( Dirks said they were a bit small ) but I wanted everything we could keep. ( Which shows how much Dirks wanted us to have the trip we were hoping for. The grand finale was a 40 lb ling cod!!!! Last fish on board and a wild finish. I have stayed at more than a few 5 star hotels . I have never experienced the kind of exceptional and happy to be provided, customer service. I will be returning again, and soon.

Everything was first class and the fishing was great. Our guide was very experienced, knowledgeable and fun to fish with. We caught a variety of fish in addition to the salmon we were there for. I love historical buildings and the resort fascinated me. I spent a couple of hours just walking through the buildings looking at how they were made. My room was very comfortable and simple in keeping with the historical atmosphere of the resort. The food was top of the line. It was hard to believe how many staff members they have on site. They were everywhere you looked, appeared very upbeat and were very helpful. I was there with my adult son, and I am sure we will be returning.

Fishing was a great experience but the resort offers so much more. Great wildlife is just a short hike away. Personal are knowledgeable and responsive to your expectations. We saw seals, sea lions, whales, eagles and bears. Plus of course lots of fish. Beautiful historic facility

Great guides, great food, great lodging. Hiking to the waterfall we saw a couple of groups of bear feeding on salmon going up stream.
