Hotel is in need of a renovation. We stayed here a few years ago and it was in much better shape although dated at that time. The rooms on the side facing Ketchum share an exhaust vent with the restaurant. our room was directly below the exhaust vent so we could not enjoy the balcony in the evening as it smelled of fried onions. we could not even open the screen door due to the overpowering smell. Surely they could’ve come up with a better solution for venting the restaurant than blasting the nasty smell to all the balconies on that the side of the hotel.

I love this hotel. It has been “freshened” up since my last stay 2 years ago. The atmosphere has a good vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are oh so comfy. I sleep like a baby. Views are good on both sides of the hotel. Road construction in downtown Ketchum is a mess. Knob Hill sits just north of the construction so, it’s not a terrible inconvenience getting to the hotel.

• Nice location, slightly outside of town but very walkable (+1) • Spacious room with a great view (+2) • Worn out mattress, have a back ache from it (-3) • Average meals (E) • Friendly staff (+1) • Good, free breakfast (+1) • Breakfast space has no view (-1) • $35/night Resort fee charged for a pool and a sauna, and we didn't use it (-1) • Paid for our incidentals at check out, but then received an additional charge the next day (turned out to be for tips, but a strange way to bill).

Such a great place! Comfortable, cool and welcoming. Close to town and close to the Warm Springs lift. I hate to leave this review because I want it to be a secret getaway. :)
