Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection

We stayed at this hotel for our kids' fall break. October was a great time to go (we lucked out with great weather even though it's Hurricane season)! The hotel wasn't busy at all and at times, we had so much of the area to ourselves! Restaurants weren't crowded either. It's about 1.5 hours from the Ft. Lauderdale airport. You could swim in the ocean here! They have a ropped off section with the calmest, clearist water! You can borrow a float from the towel shack to use in the ocean. There were steps (kind of like the pool steps entrance) into the ocean. The ocean area was sandy and good to stand in. We've been to other resorts in the Keys where the swimming area is filled with sea grass and a ladder to get in (or we never got in the ocean at those places). The pool area was nice too, although we never got in because the ocean was perfect! The free smores at night was a fun thing for the kids! We loved the Sol by the Sea restaurant (great view, large portions, good food). We also loved the free fishing off the dock (they give you bait and a pole). Our kids caught fish, but really only did it once because it's the same small fish they were catching each time. We loved that they had an activities center where you could book things right from the hotel. We did the Cat Boat (2 seats miniboat with a motor) tour and it was so fun to be on those boats. I liked it much better than jet skis. Rooms were clean and nice. There was a water refill station in the lobby. There are free (just about a cup size) smoothies in the gift shop in the mornings, but it ends around 10am, I think. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Had dinner twice with a great server named Macy who treated my family so incredibly well. Would highly recommend!

We have been coming to Playa Largo Resort for years, and we absolutely love it! The resort is beautiful, relaxing, and always a pleasure to visit. The staff is truly amazing, welcoming, and attentive, always going above and beyond to make every stay special. We keep coming back year after year because of the incredible hospitality and wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend! 🌴☀️

Guerdy was our waiter and was very helpful and attentive. She remembered what we wanted to drink with breakfast each day.
