Havana Cabana At Key West

Everything, from the spectacular lobby to the lushly grown pool area is welcoming and comfortable!! The rooms are modern and very clean. Although it’s a bit away from Duval street, the shuttle runs every 30 minutes and the drivers are so much fun! The Uber ride is only 10-12 bucks. The entire staff is cheerful and very accommodating. With all the places to stay in Key West we felt we made the perfect choice. We will be staying here exclusively when we come visit Key West!

This property is great, the rooms and bathroom were nice and clean, the pool food, drinks, and dj were great. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because the website claims to be an adults only oasis and there were kids all over the resort

Honestly looked cool in the pictures but was a pretty annoying place to stay. Screaming kids splashing in the pool all day. There’s a DJ blasting club music at the pool all day and pretty much all the pool chairs are taken all day. Relaxing at the pool here is pretty much out of the question.

This was our 7th trip to Key West and our second stay at Havana Cabana, and it felt just as wonderful as we remembered. We even invited friends to join us this time because we enjoyed it so much on our previous visit. The property still has that great Key West/Cuban vibe that makes it feel unique and full of character. The reception team was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. I will admit I was initially disappointed that the hotel is no longer adults‑only, since that’s how we experienced it in 2025, but the overall atmosphere still felt relaxed and enjoyable. Havana Cabana isn’t your typical resort — in the best way. It feels more like a local, boutique stay, even though it’s part of a larger brand. The décor is beautiful, the entrance has a grand feel, and considering the pool is one of the largest on the island, the pool area feels both cozy and stunning. Even when it was busy, it never felt overcrowded. Some of our favorite features were our balcony, which gave us a perfect spot to enjoy the tropical air, and of course the pool, which is impressively large for the number of guests. But the true highlight of our stay was Mario, the shuttle driver. He genuinely added so much fun and energy to our trip. He was knowledgeable, upbeat, and always excited to see us. We even planned our outings around his shuttle runs because he made the experience that enjoyable. After many Key West trips and many shuttle drivers, Mario is easily one of our favorites. While the hotel isn’t on the beach side, it still offers a lovely ocean view and is conveniently located — close to the airport without being too close, near Publix, and just a short shuttle ride from downtown. We also appreciate that it’s on the quieter side of the island. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was great, and the AC kept the room cool all day. The only minor issue was the toilet pressure, which required a little extra attention. We did not require housekeeping every day, but the staff was quick to bring fresh towels whenever we asked. Communication overall was excellent, and check‑in/check‑out were smooth. As a coastal photographer, I pay attention to atmosphere, and Havana Cabana definitely delivers. I would absolutely stay here again — maybe even try one of the suites next time. The pool, the balcony, the décor, and the thoughtful touches like complimentary towels and sunscreen all made the stay feel easy and enjoyable. Tips for future guests: – Balcony rooms are worth it. – There’s no bathroom fan, so expect a bit of humidity. – Definitely use the shuttle — it drops you right downtown and saves you the hassle of taxis or parking. Just plan your day around the shuttle schedule, especially during busy times, though they do a great job adding extra runs when needed. Overall, Havana Cabana continues to be one of our favorite places to stay in Key West, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
