Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa

Very overpriced hotel. Then they somehow messed up my reservation then charged me for it. It took a few calls to get my money back.

The property has a serious problem when winds pick up causing the wind to screach thru their doors & making almost impossible to sleep. We stayed 1/26 & 1/27 with the winds picking up on the 1st night. After 2 hours of us trying everything to prop heavy items up against the door they said they would bring a doorstop up but instead arrived with a washcloth to wedge against the door & frame. However, that only cut the noise by about 20%. We then tore apart heavy card board ourselves to create a tighter seal & wedged it & that cut it by 50%. That whole process took 3 hours & even sleeping with a sound machine he had a sleepless night. The next night the winds still howled with the same screeching. My sister who is dying of pancreatic cancer & I took to Key West since she had always wanted to go, had the exact same problem with her doors. Hyatt you need to make some serious changes to your infrastructure since you literally ruined a once in my sisters lifetime trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This resort has no place to seat outside your room when weather was cold and windy. We had prepaid for 5 days and left on the third day.

For the rating and price of this property I found it outdated and dirty. They need to go through their rooms and do a deep clean and fix everything broken and paint or replace fixtures or completely renovate. My room had stains on the walls, doors, and floors, light bulbs that were burnt out. I stayed 5 days and had to request housekeeping multiple times and they never cleaned the floors, it was mostly just replacing towels and emptying trash.

Great property and location, unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of the amenities as we would have liked to extreme cold weather.
