Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa

Great view from our room. Facilities were clean and bed was comfortable. We did have a few ants in our room, which was the only downside. Staff investigated promptly. Overall, we were happy and would come back.

From start to finish, our stay was dreamy. I have stayed here 3 times now - each time for a different reason and with different people and this hotel never disappoints. From the clean, refreshing scent of the lobby, the complimentary drink, the wonderful staff, to the hotel grounds, pool and hammocks, the place is just wonderful. I will always stay at this hotel when I visit KW.

The attention to detail we received during our stay was unmatched! We were treated like the only guests there! This resort is beautiful and so relaxing! You have to get a room with a balcony that has an ocean view because relaxing while watching all the boat traffic was the best part of our stay! Anna went above and beyond in helping me make this a special stay for our anniversary! All the staff were ALWAYS pleasant and willing to do whatever they could to make our stay the best it could be.

This hotel charges more than resorts in the Maldives! After paying the room rate, we had to pay another $125 per night at check in. It's basically a step above a Hyatt Place / Hampton Inn, but in a good location. If I had it to do it over again, I would stay on the other side of the island and just pay for a Lyft/Uber ride. Our building lost water pressure on the day of check out, so we couldn't shower or even wash our hands. When I asked the front desk they said a manager would contact me, but I never heard from them.

Location is good and the room was nice but that’s where the good ends. First, they use live turtles as decoration in sterile pools. The turtles are not supervised so kids felt free to taunt them. Live animals as decoration is a very dated concept. I hope Hyatt trades them for plants or something. Second, this is the LOUDEST 4 star hotel in all of America. The floors are tile so every house keeping or coffee cart sounds like a plane taking off. Not to mention the guests screaming and slamming doors at all hours of the night. After the first night, I mentioned my concerns at the front desk. They told me “we have staff, just call us when it happens next time”. They apparently don’t have security making rounds at night but instead rely on guests to police other guests. I will not return.
