You Get What You Pay For (Uhhh no we didn't)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

We paid over $841 & $942 per night (plus tax) to overlook a parking garage, hear cars being driven in and out all day & night. Car alarms going off. Zero view. Heard metal furniture being moved all night long. Front staff had crazy entitled attitudes and had NO concern for our concerns. When I asked to be moved from the noise, they replied "You get what you pay for"?! Really? When I researched your hotel no where in the description did it say, 1 King bed, Island Jr Suite * parking lot view, noise from who knows where moving metal furniture for hours in the middle of the night, and a staff who doesn't give a crap. All for $2k+ for 2 nights. Use promo code "LumpIt" to add revved car sounds and alarms. The good news is that the maid came in and threw pillows literally across the room left on the floor when we had a "do not disturb" sign on the door while we were out. We were exhausted for our business meeting the next day. But conveniently located.

The quintessential Key West hotel. Loved it.

From start to finish a wonderful experience. It is a great location close to everything, the staff are terrific, the accommodations were lovely and the food at Tin Roof was excellent; had breakfast there both days and dinner one evening. Great place!

Fantastic location!

This was our second stay at Ocean Key. We absolutely love the location, perfect for sunset viewing and so convenient to restaurants and bars. Our room was beautiful, very clean and nicely appointed. We loved sipping drinks on the Sunset Pier and at the pool, and we had a great sunset dinner at Hot Tin Roof (highly recommend the bread pudding!) We'll definitely be back!

Amazing

A+, from the moment you walk into the lobby you’ll be so happy that this is where you’ll spend the next several days of your Key West vacation!! Every ounce of this resort will take your breath away. Steps from Mallory Square, be sure to catch sunset there along with Sunset Pier.

Perfect Location, Friendly, Helpful Staff

We had an awesome experience at Ocean Key Resort! We had a top floor corner suite, overlooking Duval St. and also had an ocean view. We loved the spaciousness of the bedroom, bathroom, living area and we even had a full kitchen and laundry! The balcony was a relaxing place to people watch and also watch the tour boat come in and out. The resort is right next to Mallory Square and we loved going out there at night for the sunset celebration and also walking down there in the morning to watch the massive cruise ships come in. We didn't need a car, as everything is within walking distance, and boy, did we walk a lot every day! I recommend taking the Conch Train Tour first to give you the lay of the land, if you've never been to Key West before. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. The handle on my suitcase had broken and we asked if they had a tool we could use to fix it, but they went above and beyond and sent a maintenance person up who fixed it for me! Housekeeping was also amazing. Our suite looked like day 1 every time we came back to it. So clean! They even helped us out when we did a load of laundry and found out the dryer didn't work. When maintenance couldn't fix it, they arranged for housekeeping to come up, get our wet laundry and dry it for us! Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
