Ocean Key Resort & Spa

Very nice Resort and excellent location. The front desk personnel are very kind and helpful. Special shout out to Craig for accommodating all of our needs. Will be nice when the lobby renovations are complete.

The rooms were beautiful and the staff is amazing! They are friendly and helpful. The pool was right on the water and the views were wonderful. We will definitely stay here again.

A lovely experience at Ocean Key Resort. Clean, great location, beautiful room and excellent staff at every interaction. So glad we chose Ocean Key!

Not on par with other Amex Hotel Collection properties. Photos do not represent the current state of the property. -Paint peeling/missing in many areas- seems like they may have used interior paint outdoors so everything gets sticky when it rains and has started peeling. -Dirty towels used on the floor of pool bathrooms to prevent slipping (all 3 days we were there). -Windows are not soundproof, so you will hear every bit of the live music from the venue and public parking next door. -Pool is only open until sunset (5:30pm when we were there) -Exterior hallways were consistently dirty and there are some very happy/established bees/hornets on the 5th floor our entire stay. -Room styles/windows/decor and hotel layout are fairly dated but the guest room bathrooms appear to have been updated in the past 5 years and the room itself was clean. Dining: -No breakfast room service or restaurant until 8am. -Caution to Amex folks- they charge gratuity for breakfast benefit, so you will be on the hook for $10-15 per meal depending what you get. -Food options were varied and if good quality. Pool bar staff was friendly and attentive. Fire alarm went off at 6:30am one morning. We got a text an hour later essentially saying “oops, but at least it works!” which was honestly worse than not acknowledging it at all. Many staff members were quite lovely. However, we stayed at another hotel for the first half of our visit, which for half the price, was only two blocks further from Duval, quieter, cleaner, more modern and with equally friendly staff.

First time guest at Ocean Key hotel and resort, but not the first time in Key West. The resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Very clean, well managed and staffed with kind and friendly employees. The rooms were beautiful, pool and restaurant were great. Didn’t have the time on this trip to try the spa services but will on our next visit to Key West as we will absolutely be staying there again. On a final note the ocean views were Very nice and the resort is ideally located close to great restaurants and activities.
