With 148 Conch-style waterfront and garden view rooms, suites and cottages, recently revamped Parrot Key Resort is the epitome of a classic dignified beach community just off the bustling Key West Duval Street and Historic Old Town. The property encompasses 5 acres of neatly landscaped tropical grounds, an internationally acclaimed sculpture garden and swaying palm trees. Mangroves and bougainvillea skirt the powdery beach, which edges the Gulf of Mexico. Gleaming white trim, picket fences and comfy porches with colorful Adirondack chairs made for leisurely lounging set the bucolic tone. Extra roomy accommodations are decorated in cheery pastels with chic handmade wooden furniture and wicker loungers. Notwithstanding the nostalgic beach cottage atmosphere, tech amenities abound in each room: there is property-wide complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access, a flat-screen television, DVD player and premium cable service. Bathrooms have walk-in showers and original artwork adorns the walls.

We had a really enjoyable stay at Parrot Key Hotel & Villas. The resort is lush and beautifully landscaped, offering a peaceful escape with four relaxing pools that make it easy to unwind. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—we were even upgraded to a king suite after speaking with them, which was much appreciated since most rooms are two queens. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a private patio and luxurious L’Occitane bathroom products. The on-site bar is great, and while the location is a bit off the main tourist spots, it’s very manageable if you have a car—everything in Key West is just 10 minutes away. Note that while the hotel is not directly on a beach, it is waterfront, and the views are still lovely. A couple of small downsides: the $50+ resort fee feels unnecessary, and the $13 valet-only parking can feel a bit steep. Overall, though, the friendly service, relaxing pools, and spacious accommodations made it a very pleasant and memorable stay.

What a beautiful place to stay and close to anything you wanted to do. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. I love sitting out on the balcony in the morning drinking coffee. Great experience and we can't wait to go back.

This was our second time at the Parrot Key Resort. We absolutely enjoy this resort. This will always be our first choice for a resort when we go.

My experience at Parrot Key Hotel & Villas in Key West was nothing short of amazing. I loved every single moment at this beautiful resort, nestled in the most idyllic surroundings – palm trees, turquoise waters, and a vibe that invites total relaxation. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who provided the best service I’ve ever experienced at any resort. Everything was done with warmth, care, and professionalism – I truly felt like a valued guest. The resort itself is a little oasis. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, and the charming villas and suites are surrounded by lush greenery and several small pools, where you can always find your own peaceful spot. Just sitting on the porch and enjoying the calm was an experience in itself. If you’re dreaming of luxury, a tropical atmosphere, and top-notch service – I can highly recommend Parrot Key. I honestly wish I could’ve stayed forever.

This hotel is ok however, very deceiving pricing tactics. They charged me the hotel room night in advance, great, $135. When I went to check out they charged $51 as a ‘resort tax’. Two things; 1. I live in Florida, resort fee is a few dollars not 40% of the room stay, and, 2. They never said they had such a high resort fee when I booked. I stayed in this hotel three times and referred at least four friends and family. I will not be doing that going forward, I don’t appreciate people who misrepresent - misrepresentation is a lie and I have to wonder, where does it stop? Also, pool food was expensive and lame, room was ok.
