The Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

The Sanctuary Hotel is truly spectacular in both comfort and service. The rooms large and lovely with comfortable beds, all needed amenities. The hotel sits on a pristine beach with plenty of beach attendants to ensure your chair and umbrella are set up for you in the perfect spot. The poolside bar and restaurant provide table seating or chaise lounge service. I highly recommend the arugula and watermelon salad! Bikes are available to cruise down the beach or explore the miles and miles of bike trails. The lobby of this hotel is beautifully decorated like a grand estate, but somehow is also cozy and inviting. We just love to order drinks and dessert while sitting by the fire playing games or reading a book. I can't say enough about this spectacular hotel. It is a wonderful place for both families and couples.

My wife and I stayed for two nights to play the Ocean and two other courses. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful beach resort and its amenities. The southern decor throughout the resort was beautiful along with the pool area. The customer service from all the employees was outstanding. We will definitely plan to come back for a future vacation.

Stunning in every sense of the word! We were only here for a few hours, to have a drink and walk around and we can't wait to come back for an extended stay. This whole property was like stepping back in time to when the south was the epitome of grace, charm, and luxury. They didn't miss a single detail with this place-seriously, it oozes expensive taste!

Extremely wonderful stay. Quiet and relaxing time. Loved the beautiful antiques and furniture on the property. The Ocean room was a delight. I recommend this hotel to everyone and the experience was delightful. We were pleasantly surprised with the four day stay at sanctuary hotel!

Staff on this island leaves a lot to be desired, rude and expecting tips at every turn. Barely understand or speak English. Except bag boys and pro-shop, they’re great. My credit card was seen only by hotel worker upon check-in. Everything all week was charged to my room account. In the 2 days after checkout my card was used for over $1300 in fraudulent charges in Kiawah area businesses. I had to cancel my card and dispute charges, which really only hurt the businesses affected, unfortunately. I used to love this resort but they seem to value cheap labor over customer satisfaction.
