Ballyfin Demesne

Myself and my friend stayed at Ballyfin Demesne for one night and it was honestly the most amazing experience. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel, we were treated like royalty. The staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive — nothing was ever an issue and every detail was taken care of so effortlessly. The food was like nothing I have ever tasted before — absolutely exceptional. Every course was beautifully presented and full of flavour. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. Thank you to everyone at Ballyfin for an experience we will never forget.

Just back from a weekend in Ballyfin. Beautiful location, friendly staff, lovely food. A real treat. A yoga lesson on our first day worked for my husband, a complete beginner, and for me, slightly more experienced. On the second day I had a massage, total relaxation! The pool might as well be your own private one, I always had it to myself. This is a very special place.

Cannot say enough good things about this spectacular property, and the friendly people who work there. The house has been restored to the absolute highest standard and it is very well maintained. The fact that there are only 20 guest rooms makes for a very intimate and personal experience. You truly feel as though you are a guest in a private house rather than a hotel. We had a falconry demonstration and a whiskey tasting--both great experiences--but much of the pleasure came from just enjoying the house and grounds. I have been fortunate enough to stay in some of the best rated hotels in the world, and Ballyfin is at or near the very top. Highly, highly recommended.

My wife describes it as being a princess in a fairytale. From the moment you pull up to the manor, you feel like you have stepped back in time to a different era. Escaping the hustle and bustle of today's world. The staff is waiting outside with smiles to greet you. You feel all stress from the long ride, driving on the "wrong" side of the road melt away. You know you are somewhere special. Colleen the duty manager was always there for us, but, never in our face. She took care of anything we needed. The manor is elegant, warm and welcoming. Every room is unique. Service and staff are all there to make you feel special, make you feel wanted, and certainly make you feel taken care of. The activities lead by Jerry were fun and well done. We really enjoyed archery and clay shooting. The property is expansive and well maintained and we loved touring around on our golf cart. We cannot wait to return.
