We attended the Christmas by Candelight Concert recently at The Muckross Parkand it was such a magical evening. We enjoyed a pre-show dinner in The Yew Tree which was of a michelin standard, particularly the beetroot and goats cheese starter. The restaurant manager informed me this was only their House Menu for that particular evening! Will definitely return for the full experience. The whole atmosphere and festive decorations were just beautiful. The staff were incredibly attentive and everyone goes out of their way to ensure all guests are attended to. It was the perfect way to start the festive season. I'll say it again....Magical!

We had a very disappointing stay last week...the hotel and room (Blue Pool Suite) were very nice. However the hotel service and staff certainly do not deserve a 5☆ rating. Reception staff had no interest in interacting... you didnt get an hello walking by them.... contrast that with The Europe or Aghadoe Heights where the front desk staff go out of their way to say good morning/ good evening.... so friendly! To be honest with Muckross it feels like everything is done with a view to saving a Euro or 2..... no newspapers in the morning..... on the desk in our suite there was a single golf cart pencil.... no pens.... amenities more suited to a Premier Inn...large bottles bolted to the walls..... The staff were quite unfriendly..... to go for a swim or use the spa you had to book and were informed very strongly it was only for 1 hour... Spa was very pretty but pool not heated.... sections of the spa not working....on both visits we found mosaic tiles that had fallen off the walls sitting on the ground.... there were no extra towels in the locker room...so you get a single towel going in and that is it.... we booked through AMEX.... however the hotel didn't take AMEX.. lady who checked us in told us it was too expensive! In actual fact most establishments in Killarney accept American Express. Very unusual for a high end hotel in Kerry not to take it especially with the area being so popular with US tourists. I would suggest that management book into the Europe or Agahdoe Heights for a night or two and see how 5☆ should be done. Very disappointing stay....

We attended a family wedding. The hotel was decorated with subtle elegance for Christmas which enhanced the wedding experience. We experienced courtesy and professionalism from every staff member. The food was fine dining, even for the wedding reception. Our bedroom was spacious and spotless.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Muckross and will definitely be visiting again. The staff were very helpful and the location was great. The spa was great but could use a few more amenities. The food is fabulous!!

We stayed at the Muckross Park Hotel Apartments as a family of three and had an excellent experience. The apartment was beautiful and spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed. Our bedrooms overlooked the forest in the national park, which made the whole stay feel extra magical. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a warm and festive atmosphere from the moment we checked in. We felt genuinely welcome. The spa facilities were gorgeous as well. A special thank-you to the lovely lady at the spa reception who kindly offered us a deal since we couldn’t use the spa during our full 2-hour allocated slot. Because it’s adults-only, we had to go separately so that one of us could stay with our child, and her thoughtfulness made a big difference. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Muckross Park Hotel Apartments to families looking for comfort, nature, and great hospitality.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-night stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Cloister Spa. This 5-star hotel lived up to its rating in every regard. The suite we stayed in was just beautiful and with the extra sitting area above the entrance, my wife commented that she felt like a princess. The Cloister Spa was exceptional and we enjoyed the service there on several days. All of the international staff - from the doormen, front desk to wait staff - were pleasant and helpful to any issue. We ate dinner at Blue Pool and Molly Darcys pub - 2 of 3 on-site resturants. The staff at the was especially helpful with the wine selection as we celebrated our anniversary one evening. The food was absolutely delicious at both places. The hotel is right across the street from walking paths, jaunting carts, and the Muckross House in Killarney National Park. All in all, we absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
