We stayed in the Muckross Park Hotel apartments which were very comfortable, spacious and clean. Good kitchen facilities too. Great location right near the National Park and Muckross House and Abbey. The apartments are right across from the hotel if you want to use their bar or restaurant. Plenty of parking too. We got the winter deal for 3 nights which was very good value. Thanks

We stayed here on Saturday gone past. I gave my review to the hotel and thought it only right to put it here for other visitors. I will return some day to stay in the hotel itself, but we stayed in the Reserve Apartments. I struggled to find a space in Killarney that was dog friendly. It had been 15 years since we stayed in Killarney with our dog, who is also now 15 and has dementia. A small pet, who wouldn’t cause any damage or trouble, but yet we didn’t realise these Apartments were here off the Hotel. I booked a number of weeks ago, and for some reason I couldn’t book with a child, however when I emailed the hotel, they were more than happy to book us in and off we went. Check in was swift and the lady on reception was very helpful to us. We took our key and stayed in 711. We got parking right outside the door. When we went into the apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was lovely and homely. We had one room with an en-suite, separated by another door in the hallway (perfect to hide with a 1 year old), followed by another en-suite bedroom further in off the kitchen. There was a kitchen / living / dining area here. The apartment itself was very spacious and clean. We were blessed to have a cot by the bed and a high chair for use also. What I found amusing though, and which worked out perfect for us, the coffee table was low as were the chairs, which was ideal for a 1 year old who pulls up to everything. Almost like it was planned! The kitchen had the typical utensils you would expect along with the usual kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, cooker and coffee machine. The floor was Lino, which was ideal especially with a young child but also with general wear and tear of people moving. We only stayed one night, but we will certainly stay longer again. As I mentioned, travelling with a dog is not easy especially finding somewhere to stay, and it was thoughtful that the hotel had a dog bed, and left food and a water trough. It has been thoughtful through. I have no downside to my review, we were incredibly happy and checked out by phoning the hotel by pressing 0 on the phone and that was it! If I had to be very picky and find a fault, the only thing I could say was the doors are fire doors with an automatic closer. Now this is very picky of me, just maybe the noise of the doors closing in other apartments was loud up to about 1 a.m. It really didn’t bother us, and these doors are fire doors and are to close automatically for a reason to keep us all safe if the worst was to occur. Also, from working in construction, I know the regulations that are there so putting in standard doors possibly wasn’t even an option at the time of construction, but I would just say, we were very conscious of our neighbours so never let the doors bang, there was a sign to keep the noise to a minimum after 8 and to be fair to our neighbours they certainly did, however, the doors were the only thing that made us realise we had company in the building, otherwise we would have never known. We hope we left the apartment nearly as well as we found it. We certainly will be back to stay again and thank you to muckross park for having us.

We really enjoyed our short break and found all aspects of our stay very enjoyable. The staff were all very professional and helpful. We really enjoyed eating in the Dome Restaurant and the food was lovely. The background music was very relaxing and we could have a conversation while we dined. All the staff in the restaurant were really polite and friendly . We enjoyed our breakfast in the dining room and the staff were also very professional and helpful. We were served what we requested example egg to be well cooked, brown toast etc. We found our dining experience very relaxing. We had a superior room which was very clean and comforable. We like having the shower separate from the bath. The chambermaids were very helpful and supplied us with everything. We also found the proximity to Killarney Park really convenient as the park is across the road from hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again if we visit Killarney.

We had a fantastic time in Muckross in January. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly staff. Our room was immaculate and extremely comfy. We felt at ease and relaxed the whole time we were there. The food was lovely in the bar and the breakfast was great. We are looking forward to staying again in future.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-night stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Cloister Spa. This 5-star hotel lived up to its rating in every regard. The suite we stayed in was just beautiful and with the extra sitting area above the entrance, my wife commented that she felt like a princess. The Cloister Spa was exceptional and we enjoyed the service there on several days. All of the international staff - from the doormen, front desk to wait staff - were pleasant and helpful to any issue. We ate dinner at Blue Pool and Molly Darcys pub - 2 of 3 on-site resturants. The staff at the was especially helpful with the wine selection as we celebrated our anniversary one evening. The food was absolutely delicious at both places. The hotel is right across the street from walking paths, jaunting carts, and the Muckross House in Killarney National Park. All in all, we absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
