Poor experience for 5 star hotel ,very disappointed wing return.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Stayed here for what we hoped was a relaxing 5 star experience but unfortunately extremely poor experience, 5 star room no heating working the room was freezing, asked several times to get this sorted but after a few hours we were offered an electric plug in heater to heat the room , then electricity went in hotel for on a few occasions, not the hotels fault but not ideal , after several hours of it asking for them to sort room heating we were offered a different room but no point as it was late at this stage , restaurant closed due to electricity cutting out ,only food on offer was bar food which was came out barely hot enough to eat at this stage we just wanted out , offered discount due to issues but if j had my way I'd want full refund, terrible night terrible disaster of an evening away, we were told we would be offered an free room upgrade and discount stay next time we decide to stay , we said after a free weeks we might see what they offer ... Discount room and free upgrade was €150 more than we originally paid , so basically no discount, extremely disappointed with this hotel 100 will not be returning, apart from spa this is not a 5 star hotel in my opinion.

Great Experience and Customer Service!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our stay was lovely from start to finish! Ryan at the concierge was great and always there to help with luggage, local walk trails and organizing bikes to cycle around killarney national park. The girls at the spa and reception were also lovely and very accommodating. The rooms are also extremely comfortable and clean - overall great experience!

Must Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Truly one of the absolute best places to stay. The property and hotel itself is gorgeous. Lots of parking, beautiful spa, comfortable beds, good sized rooms, great food- the list goes on. Very clean, it’s nice and quiet so you can actually relax. This was our second time coming and we will definitely be returning. Staff is incredibly helpful and kind.

Apartment stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Spa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed at the Muckross Park Hotel & Spa Apartments for a midweek stay for 3 nights and it was lovely. The check in & out experience was very pleasant. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and the appliances and heating controls were easy to activate. Everything that the customer would need on a self catering break is thought of ie tea towels, tea & coffee etc. We ate in the hotel bar Colgans each evening and the food and service was excellent, staff were very attentive and pleasant. I am hoping to return to this hotel for another break in the autumn. The hotel has already sent me a link with a 10% discount on further bookings with them, which is something I really like to receive as a customer. Many thanks for a very enjoyable stay....

Outstanding staff elevate an already exceptional stay.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

All staff in reception, concierge, staff who maintained our rooms, all staff in the spa, the bar and restaurants were outstanding. The level of service provided in such a low key personal way elevated an already superb stay. The lodge was perfect for our stay, clean, functional and lots of space. Thank you to everyone for a lovely stay. We intend on returning next year.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-night stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Cloister Spa. This 5-star hotel lived up to its rating in every regard. The suite we stayed in was just beautiful and with the extra sitting area above the entrance, my wife commented that she felt like a princess. The Cloister Spa was exceptional and we enjoyed the service there on several days. All of the international staff - from the doormen, front desk to wait staff - were pleasant and helpful to any issue. We ate dinner at Blue Pool and Molly Darcys pub - 2 of 3 on-site resturants. The staff at the was especially helpful with the wine selection as we celebrated our anniversary one evening. The food was absolutely delicious at both places. The hotel is right across the street from walking paths, jaunting carts, and the Muckross House in Killarney National Park. All in all, we absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
