Excellent stay at the Park hotel for the weekend. We genuinely couldn't compliment the staff, food or location enough. The hotel was spotless, regularly cleaned, rooms were very comfortable with stunning views. We had breakfast 2 mornings and Dinner in the Landline both evenings also, everything we had to eat was fresh and superbly cooked. Every member of staff was friendly, chatty and helpful, we couldn't have had a better stay. We would highly recommend.

Kenmare was our base for our visit to the Ring of Kerry and the Park Hotel was a wonderful hotel to experience this lovely area of Ireland. There are many areas of the hotel to enjoy especialy the gardens and walk along Kenmare Bay. We loved using the pool and sauna every night to relax with everything a person could need such as slippers, robes, swimsuit drying etc. Be sure to take the Art Tour to learn about the owner's extensive collection and the Forest Tour to learn about the lovely setting. We had a wonderful large room with sitting area that had one of the best views of the bay. The bathroom had been recently renovated which was very large with a nice soaking tub and separate shower. In-room snacks and drinks showed the hotel really wanted to make a guest's stay as pleasant as possible. We found the food at the hotel to be excellent. Upon our arrival we had a light lunch in the lounge area which I really recommend. Breakfast each morning was delicious with an extensive menu. After a long day of touring, we decided to order room service which was excellent and reasonably priced. I also recommend the nearby restaurant The Lime Tree Inn for an excellent dinner. It is walking distance through a short-cut in the parking lot. We found the service to be excellent and I wished I remembered everyone's name to thank them in this review (such as Jude and the red-hair gentleman at the bar). You could tell they took a lot of pride in their job and wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible. One tip to pass along is if you have a Chase Reserve credit card to book using the Chase Edit program. It gave us a $250 discount, room upgrade including late check-out, breakfast and a $100 hotel credit (which we used for room service).

We didnt stay the the hotel however we were recommended the art tour at 5pm each evening lead by Jonathan. It was a really nice way to get to know the hotel and we had a few cocktails afterwards which were unreal! Jonathan was very knowledgable and enthusiastic, we really appreciated the time he took to show us around.

What a beautiful, quaint hotel! We stayed for 2 nights (my mom and I) and it was just darling. The service was very top-notch and Mark made sure we were welcomed warmly and had everything we needed. He's great! We had breakfast every morning on property and it was wonderful. Service was a bit slow at times but the food was made-to-order and delicious! Will definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

This is a difficult review for us to put together. On one hand, there was so much to like at Park Hotel Kenmare: The idyllic setting with its lush garden overlooking Kenmare Bay; richly detailed interior spaces; plenty of public spaces to relax, anytime of day, some with even a steady supply of tea and snacks. We loved the library with its selection of books and a collection of photographs by Gilles Caron on the walls. Our spacious room has a comfortable sitting area with a lovely view; Grown Alchemist bath amenities; pampering daily replenishes of in-room snacks, tea selection, Blue Bottle coffee, even fresh milk in the mini fridge, etc.. Dinner and breakfast were all superb: Fresh, delicious, so well-prepared, and so beautifully presented. The display of the owner's private art collection is a true gem. It introduces guests, up close, to a truly eclectic world of contemporary art. Moreover, in our opinion, the art did not detract from the traditional interiors but instead artfully added a refreshing brightness and visual focus. (Please do go on the in-house art tour: It was informative with just the right balance of details and breath.) All this seemed a world away but was in fact just a few steps around the corner from the colorful and picturesque town of Kenmare! So why not an unequivocal 5-star? The service was uneven. We believe the staff was well-intentioned, but there were enough service gaps to be noticeable. For a 5-star Relais & Chateaux property, the doorman was often not at the door. The staff was always gracious and polite, but housekeeping and turndown services were inexplicably early every day and evening during our 3-night stay (as early as at 9 or 9:30 in the morning or before dinner, respectively). Breakfast was scrumptious, when we were finally attended, when juice or water was offered, or when the fruit compote was actually served with the porridge that supposedly should have come with. We are not picky travelers, so we mention these gaps not to be petty. But when these minor lapses kept recurring over the 3-night stay, we had to ask "why" in what was otherwise a lovely experience. We had the opportunity to say " hello" to Bryan and Tara Meehan during our stay. Their very warm, kind and personable greetings suggested a genuine commitment to make Park Hotel Kenmare a welcoming corner where guests can luxuriate in the beauty and hospitality of Ireland.
