Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort

Anantara Lawana is in a great location on a lovely part of Chewang Beach. The staff and facilities are excellent and we couldn’t fault the hotel at all. We had a lovely massage in the Spa and Mulan at the front desk organised all our needs and have us greet tips on places to see and things to do.

We had an amazing experience during our overnight stay at Anantara Lawana's Pool Suite Villa. I booked this resort to relax during my birthday weekend and was satisfied with the services that the staff provided especially the complimentary birthday cake, greeting card with warm wishes and birthday setup in our room. I also appreciated the delicious red velvet cake provided during our dinner at Cay restaurant and the surprise birthday greetings from the staff. The room was great and the food was good. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to try the Anantara Hotels in other countries. Service was superb! Thank you very much!

I've waited a long time to come here - originally we were supposed to come April 2020 but obviously covid had a different idea - it was definitely worth the wait though. This was definitely my favourite hotel during our 5 week trip to Thailand We had a warm welcome at reception - beat the drum 3 times for health prospertiy and something else i dont remember, than a string bracelet was tied round our wrists another hotel/thai ritual - washed our hands , offered cold towels and a drink then taken to our pool suite - absolutely beautiful - everything i could wish for. i did worry that actually maybe i should have just booked a deluxe room and not have the pool as i didnt think we'd use it but it was definitely worth it, we would leave the beach around 2ish each day and go back to our room and chill in the shade on the outdoor beds and cool off in the pool The beach was more on the coral side than i expected but the beds were comftable - although the umbrellas dont screen out uv rays- free kyaks that you can use to explore the island opposite and paddle boards Breakfast was phenomenal the choice of food was excellent and there was an a la carte menu too. My only bug bear is waiting for coffee - the poor lady on the coffee station never stopped so it took a while to get your coffee and i appreciate that the hotel wants to deliver a standard of service but maybe a few coffee machines so coffee addicts like myself can get their own would possibly be an idea - otherwise i couldnt fault breakfast or the service There's a 2 hour happy hour everyday at Sandal bar which is a lovely place to sip a cocktail or two and staff again are wonderful But the highlight for us was at Cay Restaurant - we primarily went there to eat because it was inside and air conditioned, but we went back again and again because of the food and the staff - especially the restaurant manager - i think his name was Arka - he was amazing suggesting foods to compliment each other and generally advising what to eat - he seemed to have a real passion for his job - we saw him serving at breakfast, lunch and dinner. the food was excellent Originally in 2020 i'd booked the tree tops restaurant and really wanted to go this time - however its a set menu (im pretty sure it used to be a la carte) and a lot of the food wasnt to my liking and for the price it wasnt worth it - which was a shame The real thing that makes this resort are the staff

This is an amazing hotel that we couldn’t fault. The room was spacious and comfortable, beautifully decorated and appointed. They even supply a wicker beach bag for you to use ! The bed is extremely comfortable and absolutely everything is provided. The beach is beautiful and private, and the pool area is spacious and well designed. The breakfast was extensive and totally delicious ! Every taste is accounted for. The staff are so polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I would return in a heartbeat !

The staff is outstandingly service-oriented, professional, and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The private beach is extraordinary, and the hotel's location is perfect."
