Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort

can be better! not a good spa experience! not a good arrival experience! five star hotel rating but we not experienced any of the 5 star services!

I cannot speak highly enough about this resort. Every single thing about this stay was absolutely exceptional. The location is brilliant and is so close to the airport. From the second you step into this resort, you feel at peace. My criteria was to be able to stay at this resort and not feel the need to leave, and I can confirm I didn’t want to leave! The room was exceptional, beautiful with a private pool, beautiful outdoor shower and spacious bed. Each night we’d enjoy reading our song birds of Samui cards before bed. The beach was lovely and clean, but I wish I’d brought my sea shoes! I love that the beach is private and you can enjoy cocktails down there. The spa is out of this world. We loved treetops, and it’s worth a visit even if only for a drink . All the food is exceptional and thanks to our chefs for making our food perfectly Thai spicy (but no worries if you can’t handle that , they can make it mild!) thanks to our lovely chef for our cooking class, we had such a blast. Special mentions to : RK- at the beach Irene, Nikki - beach and breakfast team Maya - tree tops Fern, Arthur and Baimon as brilliant villa hosts. Thank you all of the amazing staff for our beautiful time here.

Having stayed in a number of Anantara hotels, this one is up there with the best in my opinion. We stayed in a pool suite, which has a small pool and outdoor seating area/garden. The room itself has everything you need and is very private. The facilities are generally well maintained, with plenty of options should you want to stay within the resort. We however preferred to go outside to experience the local area. It wakes approx 15 mins to walk in to Chaweng, but on the daytime heat it is much wiser to get a taxi or a grab. The pool and beach are very nice and there were plenty of loungers available when we needed them. The breakfast experience was very good with a wide variety of food and drinks. The grounds are very well maintained too. One thing that we cannot finish without mentioning is the staff. They are all brilliant and will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable.

Amazing! From the moment you bang the gong on arrival you are made to feel at home and nothing is too much trouble.

We have just returned from a 12 night trip to Anantara Lawana and what a stay! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The resort itself is spotlessly clean, extremely well maintained and all staff were extremely welcoming and courteous throughout our stay. We can highly recommend the ocean view Antara pool villa - what a view! Excellent food throughout all restaurants with amazing staff. A special to mention to Kai, Torn and Rut on the beach and Joy and RK in the restaurants. Another special mention is to Kai who was an extremely joyful person to be around - you really made our holiday extra special and nothing was too much trouble! We shall be back....
