Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort

We had a truly wonderful stay at Anantara Lawana Koh Samui with our whole family. We would especially like to highlight the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff – we felt perfectly taken care of at all times. Every wish was practically anticipated, and the service was not only very personal but consistently professional. The location right by a house reef is another big plus. The sea is very shallow, which makes it ideal for children and perfect for relaxing days by the water. We were also thoroughly impressed by the food: the restaurant offered fantastic cuisine, and the service there was equally outstanding. Overall, an unforgettable stay – we would love to come back!

The Anantara Lawana resort was worth every dollar! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, efficient and had very good English. Nothing was too big or too small to ask of them. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The nightly turndown service was an added bonus! We had multiple great meals - they even bring them right down poolside for you. The location was quiet but easy to access local restaurants and shops as well as only being a 10min drive from the airport for which they helped us arrange transport that was seamless. The entire resort is calm and tidy with access to buggies to transport you around the resort as the hills/stairs do get a little tiring! We attended a wedding at the venue also which was so well organised and set up by the team and the whole day ran so smoothly for all. We couldn’t recommend the Anantara Lawana Resort enough.

From arrival to departure this hotel was the perfect choice for our 25th wedding anniversary. The food and setting is superb and the staff are simply outstanding. An amazing place. Thank you.

The location of this resort is not Chaweng Beach, no problem. Chaweng is too noisy, too Pattaya like anyway, we found staying at Bophut is perfect. Got everything that we need. With a scooter on hand, Samui is handy and easy to navigate anyway. First step into the resort, you can feel the warm hospitality atmosphere. Cold towel and drink when checking in. Clear explanation of the facilities and program of the resort. Tie a blessing string bracelet. The whole reception took awhile but certainly don't mind. It just shows the staff values my visit. Then golf cart takes us and luggage to the room. Passing thru lush bush and villas at night with ambience lighting was very impressive. Our room was pool suite. So, a private pool was a welcome sight but not expected a swing there. Amazing. The interior was tidy and clean. Nicely decorated and airconditioning works faultlessly thru out the whole 7 days we stayed there. Room service never miss a day and the staff were all extremely respectful and polite. We spent a lot of time near the pool and what I love is the total privacy. Want a swim middle of night, no problem. We were lucky on the days we spent there that the guests were very respectful and noise was not an issue at all. Price per night predetermines the quality of the guests anyway. However, the most impressive aspect of the resort is not the fixture, its the staff. Every morning, poolside lunch and dinner, we were greeted by the smiles and hospitality of the staff at all restaurants. They made us feel very welcome and addressed us by our names. We exchanged information of our lives. Reasons why we love Thailand. Even what's going on around the world right now. They are not just staff, they truly want to create a wonderful memory for their guests. I specifically want to express my gratitude towards the following staff. You all had left a memorable experience to our journey. We may not be able to meet you or visit your resort again soon, but you had left a long lasting image in our heart. Wow. Let me tell you its not easy to wow me but Anantara Lawana did just that. From the service to the room to the beach to the pool area it was stunning. We had a pool access room that had an outdoor shower which I loved. Special mention to the beautiful Jamie at breakfast, she was fantastic. Every single morning she came to me to say hi and anything I needed. She is a real assest . Irene at breakfast who I absolutely loved. She is fantastic. Last but not least Joy at Sandel. She always got us our usual table and went beyone with her fantastic service. One day I was sick and next thing you know they turn up with ginger tea. Where else would you get service like this? We will be returning next year as its my new favourite hotel.
