Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort

My family and I went to Koh Samui for Eid vacation and we loved our stay at the Anantara. It was top notch, the team of Baimon, Arthur, and Fern really did the very best to make sure that we had anything that we needed. The food on resort was great, the beach was amazing, and my daughter really enjoyed the entire property. We will for sure come back.

The staff was excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. Overall, we had a great experience and really enjoyed the hotel and amenities. The only minor issue was that our room was near children who were quite loud at times, which made it a little difficult to relax in the room. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful and we would still recommend staying here.

Our first ever visit from 7th May to 16th May to Thailand and Koh Samui with family members who have been to Koh Samui many times (different hotel). What can I say except that from the first moment of stepping foot inside this resort to our leaving after a 9 night stay, EVERY member of the Anantara Lawana team, from Guest Services & Reception; Breakfast,Dining and Bar; Ground Maintenance; and Housekeeping were the most amazingly helpful, pleasant, and genuinely good hearted that we have come across in ANY resort ANYWHERE in the world that we have stayed at. Just when you believed they had done more than enough for you, one of the team would go and do something so thoughtful that it left us quite humbled. We loved everything about the resort, and our pool room was absolutely perfect for our stay. If you want to treat yourself, or have an occasion to celebrate with a partner (as we did), then the Tree Tops Signature dining is so romantic and a wonderful place to spend the evening. But don't forget to start and/or finish at The Singing Bird lounge where the Bar team will keep you entertained with great cocktails and conversation. It really is unfair to name some of the team as they were all so lovely towards us, but we did have more contact, and therefore more conversation, with a few of them. So an extra 'thank you' to Manee & Fern in Guest Services and to Tar who we took to our hearts (may you have the career you dream of); to the lovely Nikki & Joy in the Breakfast/Dining/Bar area along with Irene who always looked after us and made us laugh & Nuch (another kind and gentle soul who we took to our hearts - may your dreams be fulfilled). We had a room with plunge pool and it was wonderful. The room was spacious and bed linen and towels were of a very high quality. It was immaculate. Only areas for improvement given the suite nature and pool, you get little to no sun and there is nowhere to sit so you wouldn’t want to order room service. Also I think mini bar contents (soft drinks and a couple of beers should be complimentary) If we go on to broader hotel the staff are outstanding. They learn your names and are so welcoming and nothing is too much effort The quality of the food in the restaurants is of a very high standard and I encourage the use of Cay for Indian cuisine. It was exceptional. The main pool area lacks shade and is very hot, so if a sun worshipper you’ll love it! The beach is fine, but if you want better beaches I would stay in Lamai. The most difficult part was a particular demographic of guests who were so appalling towards the staff. Ordered them round as if they were servants. It was simply rude and made meal times in particular breakfast very uncomfortable… I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 5* experience

This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever been to and I have traveled all over the world. The rooms are gorgeous and so very spacious. We had a garden view suite and everything was so luxurious. From the extra amenities like flip-flops, a beach bag, high end products for the room, turn down service nightly, comfy slippers, complementary sunblock and aloe by the pool, kayaks, paddle boards and golf card service to anywhere on the resort. The list goes on! Their complementary brunch every morning is a five star meal with so many options that even the pickiest of eaters would be thrilled! And lastly, but most importantly the staff was the best I’ve ever encountered. Their attention to detail, positive and accommodating nature, made every part of our stay the absolute best. We will definitely be back because of our experience here! Look no further when planning your trip, this is the place for you if you want a piece of paradise!
