Inspired by the Srivijaya Empire, which flourished along the shores of the islands of Southeast Asia centuries ago, Briza Resort is a haven of tranquility. On idyllic Samui, Briza captures the spirit of Srivijaya, the lightness and grace of its art and architecture, and the serenity of its gentle traditions. Set against a lush tropical backdrop, find pristine white sand beaches and quiet coves bathed by the azure waters of the Gulf of Thailand. All is a wondrous celebration of the exotic, and an homage to complete relaxation.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were always polite and ready to help. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and public transport. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

The Staff are all fantastic. Special mention to Somchai and CJ. In good location The breakfast buffet is very limited (compared to other Resorts and Hotels). With my room, there is no where to sit outside from the sun or rain.

A made-up corpse—perfect on the outside, lifeless underneath. The food is closer to 2 stars and falls well short of the 4–5 star image. There’s no proper beach in front of the hotel, and the sea isn’t swimmable. To make matters worse, a bag of ours containing our children’s handmade candles and personal items was taken by staff. We were initially told it had been thrown away as ‘trash’, but after we raised the issue with management upon departure, it suddenly reappeared.

Very disappointing experience from start to finish. This hotel does not live up to its claimed 4-star rating—at best, it feels like a 2-star property. The facilities are outdated, and the overall standard is far below expectations. Already the day after we checked in, we went to the hotel manager to request a cancellation because we were so unhappy. Instead of addressing our concerns, we were told that this is the level you should expect from a 4-star hotel during this period, which we strongly disagree with. The response felt dismissive and unhelpful. To make matters worse, items went missing from our room during our stay. Only after we had moved to another hotel were our belongings suddenly “found,” which raises serious concerns about how this situation was handled. Before we even checked in, we were encouraged to pay for different “plans” promising 20–30% discounts. In reality, this felt misleading—just a way to lock guests into staying, while the quality of the food and overall service was very poor. Overall, a very frustrating and concerning experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Booked 2 plunge pool rooms for a week over Songkran. Had an issue with a pool pump on the first day, engineer was called, but could not repair, so was instantly offered another room. Rooms are large, air-conditioned and very clean, with rooms serviced daily. Breakfast options are buffet style with several freshly cooked eggs (by a friendly smiling lady) and pancake/waffle options. Thai breakfast also available. Friendly singers most nights at the beach bar, come for a chat in the intervals. Food also available at the beach bar, which is sensibly priced and delicious. The best part of the Briza is definitely the staff. We were welcomed the minute we arrived at reception. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, you are spoiled as a guest, but treated as a friend. Great location, outside of Chaweng, so you don't get the noise, but close enough to pop down to. Thank you for a great stay, we will be returning as soon as possible!
