The Briza Beach Resort

This hotel is lovely, rooms are very spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Bathrooms are huge also with sunken bath. There are lots of steps and steep slopes to this complex which would be no good for someone with even slight mobility issues, we were ok with this but it did not say on their write up. Whilst it says this resort is on the beach, there is no beach. The water comes right up to the hotel. There are some rusty metal ladder style steps to get down onto the beach which were extremely dangerous and you had to wade through the sea water (2 hours each side of high tide) to get along to a part of the beach further along. My advice, walk along the road for 10 mins and access the beach from there, much safer. On check in the staff were quite rude, no welcome which is very unusual for Thailand, must have caught them on a bad day. But thereafter the staff were very good. Breakfast was very good especially the lovely lady making the omelettes. The hotel was peaceful given that is is in Cheweng, but located right at one end. Personally would not stay at this hotel or in the area again, not good value for money. Very poor beach.

The hotel is really nice and good value for money. The breakfast in the morning is amazing and lot of options. People working at restaurant are really great and always smiling. Don’t remember the name of all but one worker Bary she was really friendly. In sort great place to stay in Chaweng area in Samui

Very warm welcome staff were very helpful and lovely . The rooms are like little bungalows all spread out over the resort . We had a plunge pool which was a lovely addition. Huge comfy bed all the amenities you need although dated and a little tired it had its own charm with the lovely gardens and birds chirping. Right on the beach although not much of a beach you have to walk down a ladder to access it which could be a problem for older guests. Had the most incredible massage while listening to the waves breaking in the background. Pat the egg chef does a great job omelette , in and open air chilled setting. Location great - away from the hustle and bustle of Chewangs main strip the buses were easy to hail and get around at a very reasonable price. Would definitely return with the family .

Great location, rooms were spacious and clean, food was very good. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Big shout out to Laila at the Beach Bar for being so helpful.
