Reviews for Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui

Definitely not what I expected

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I had big expectations as this was our anniversary and wanted a great experience and celebration. Very negative: The patio of our villa had no breezy even at night so we could never sit outside, basically we had to stay in the room to survive. Everything is connected with golf cars and walking is not a choice as path is narrow and you are in a traffic jam. Beach is not nice as water is murky . Basically you had to organize something outside the resort every day Libanese dinner was in a terrible setting, let’s compare to hotel ballroom Nice: view and service at Thai restaurant was wonderful , and this was the only place with a breeze but is cl

A Unique Island Escape at Four Seasons Koh Samui

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Actually, I visited the Four Seasons Koh Samui in 2018. What impressed me the most in Koh Samui was the airport—it truly has a unique character. The hotel itself was wonderful, with attentive staff, delicious food, and rooms offering stunning views.

A tropical paradise.

Excellent service and one of the most relaxing resorts I've been to. Details are extremely curated and beyond expectations. The rooms are beautifully decorated, nature is incredible, the spa offers great treatments, the staff and management are always welcoming and attentive, food - especially the Thai restaurant and their breakfast - is simply outstanding. A true paradise for the senses.

Fantastic resort, one where I would go back over and over again

Admittedly this review is a little old, but despite it being long overdue I though the place deserved to be written about. My wife and I came two years in a row, and we would have come a third year if it wasn’t due to some personal constraints in long haul travel this August. The place is wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable. Although the property is not brand new, it is maintained perfectly. The villas are wonderful and very cozy, offering stunning views (I particularly like an elevated viewpoint). I would definitely recommend one of the higher categories with a nicely sized pool. There are some “all-villa” properties clearly conceived for the guests to spend most of their times in their villas, at the expense of the communal areas. This is not the case here: the main pool and beach are very enjoyable. Food is excellent, with the star being hands down Koh Thai. I regularly travel to Thailand for both work and leisure, and I am not sure I can name a better Thai restaurant. The quality is absolutely outstanding and beats hands down some of the multi-awarded places in Bangkok. The wine selection is very well curated. Of course markups are significant (duties in Thailand don’t help…), but there are reasonably priced bottles that clearly denote care and attention for the selection. The themed nights are also very well put together, and enjoyable (they do a “fisherman night” on the beach with grilled fish and some shows, which is very tasteful and not tacky like some similar efforts in other properties). Service is wonderful and extremely polished. One can tell that there is real passion behind it. Like in all endeavours, it clearly starts from the top: the GM and his management team are CONSTANTLY roaming the property, checking on the well functioning of the resort operations, talking to guests, from breakfast to dinner. I always feel that this is a sign of great hospitality management (as opposed to managers who never emerge from their offices), and it definitely shows. With so many options around the world I would have never thought that we would fall in love with one place, but this is one where I know we will keep coming back.

Exceptional food and welcome

We visited for their Thai dinner and afternoon tea. Both were exceptionally good, in a lovely environment and the staff very attentive.
