Teasing sparkling sea views over Choeng Mon Beach, Kimpton Kitalay Samui channels the island’s tropical charm with 138 rooms, suites and villas. In this village-like island enclave, we invite you to embrace the spirit of a community inspired by the sea. Feel revitalized by five bold and inventive restaurants and bars, a spa influenced by Thai wellness with a welcomed modern twist, and our relaxing, palm-shaded pools. Explore the island on a fat-tire bicycle, and listen to island lore in the Lanai Coves. After all, Kita means ‘song’ in Thai, and lay is a reference to the seafaring Chao Lay people of Thailand. Together, Kitalay conveys the meaning of ‘the song of the Lay people’ – a tribute to the community spirit native to the milieu. It is this easy balance of nonchalance and detail that we call island living, the Kimpton Kitalay Samui way.

An outstanding vacation. Rooms were clean and the villas was so fancy and luxurious. The atmosphere was great, diner at the BOHO restaurant was wonderful and breakfast was 10/10. Service was brilliant, especially the help of Thunder - an employee who helped us a lot, guiding us through the different activities in the hotel and at the island.

We stayed at Kimpton Kitalay over Christmas. The resort is beautiful, the staff is very kind and wants to ensure you have a great experience. In particular, Kwan, the restaurant manager, from Boho Cafe was so thoughtful, professional, and worked hard to ensure we had a great time. He ensured that all of the meals we had at Boho were amazing and kept the restaurant running smoothly. Like others have written, the pool is super nosy during the day with kids screaming and running. Parents don’t really get involved, so if you are a couple, just be prepared that it’s not the most relaxing. We also tried Fish House - honestly I didn’t understand the hype.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. No stone is left unturned to ensure the most perfect experience. The location is by far ‘far from the madding crowd! I found the room which had a balcony sea view to be clean and well designed as was the bathroom! The breakfast offers a selection to satisfy all international tastes and the manager Kwan, takes care of your every need from coffee to reserving a table at the Michelin fish restaurant. He really took excellent care of us. The pool is excellent and the beach is a short walk away. The gym is well equipped. In conclusion, the staff are extremely efficient, friendly and courteous. The hotel was perfect in every way! My words can not do it enough justice.
