Kimpton Kitalay Samui

Our stay here was really great! The food was delicious, tasted fresh and there was a lot to choose from! The staff were so friendly, kind and very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at Kimpton Kitalay Samui and would happily return. We had two rooms, with one booked on points and upgraded to a wonderful One Bedroom Pool Villa, which was a particularly impressive upgrade for a points stay. The villa was excellent. The private pool was perfect for a dip whenever we felt like it, while the huge bathroom had a large bathtub and two showers, one indoors and one outdoors. Villa guests also receive some additional privileges, including a dedicated villa concierge. Thunder, our villa concierge, was fantastic and looked after us incredibly well throughout our stay, arranging anything we needed. The welcome gifts were particularly generous. Waiting for us was an amazing cabinet filled with chocolates, cakes and other treats, together with fruit and wine. Every evening there was also a different treat left by the bed. The attention to detail was impressive. The whole property feels very new and is immaculately maintained, with beautiful contemporary tropical design throughout. It isn’t a mega resort, which was a big plus for us. Everything is easy to walk to and the resort retains a relaxed and intimate feel. The location directly on Choeng Mon Beach is excellent. We found the beach had some of the whitest and softest sand on Koh Samui. The main infinity pool is right on the beach with a beautiful outlook across the sand and water. The food was excellent in all the restaurants we tried, and the service throughout the resort was equally impressive. One member of our travelling party is vegan, and the hotel went out of its way to accommodate them throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a very good selection and high quality food. It is complimentary for all hotel guests, with a choice of two venues. Villa guests can also have complimentary breakfast served privately in their villa, which was a lovely additional benefit. There are three communal pools, including the beachfront infinity pool. We also enjoyed the complimentary Kimpton Social Hour from 5 to 6pm. On some evenings there is a beach BBQ and fire show, which is a bit of fun and adds to the relaxed resort atmosphere. There isn’t much immediately outside the resort, which we actually liked. It is a world away from the madness of Chaweng, although we did find an excellent massage place nearby. Overall, Kimpton Kitalay Samui is a beautiful, intimate resort with an excellent beach, very good food and genuinely impressive service. The villa upgrade made an already excellent stay particularly memorable. Thunder deserves another mention for the exceptional way he looked after us throughout our stay. An easy five stars and a resort we would happily return to.

Wow, what a great week we had at Kimpton Kitalay Samui. We are sure to return to this idyllic resort. Moss, you are a ge. You and the staff made our stay so special, you are all so friendly and accommodating making us feel right at home. Definitely sad to leave, but the return seed has been planted.
