We just returned from the most incredible stay at Melati and are already counting down the days until we can come back! We’re a family of four with two teenagers, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and taken care of. The staff were beyond amazing – warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble, whether it was organizing transport, booking dinner, or offering local tips. The front desk team were superstars – always smiling and incredibly helpful with arranging taxis and getting us where we needed to go. Our room was fantastic – spacious, beautifully presented, and perfect for a family, with our own private pool to enjoy. It felt like our own little tropical sanctuary. The location is ideal for those wanting peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, but it’s still easy to get around the island. We loved being tucked away yet still close enough to explore when we wanted. The main pool overlooking the beach was a definite highlight – absolutely stunning and the perfect spot to watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand. The food was delicious, with a great variety for both adults and teens, and the special evening events, especially the fire show, were just magical – a real treat and beautifully done. We couldn’t have asked for a better escape. Melati ticks every box for a family holiday – relaxing, luxurious, fun, and unforgettable. See you next time!

Melati Hotel is the best 5 Star Hotel in Koh Samui! All the staff are so friendly and offer exceptional customer service. Our pool villa suite, the grounds, the gardens, pools and restaurants are kept spotlessly clean. A special thank you to a lovely lady called Fon who arranged our romatic meal on the beach to celebrate our birthdays. All the staff are so friendly and really profesional. We highly recommend this hotel and will look forward to returning very soon. Thank you all so much!

My wife and I had a 6 night stay at the end of March. We were on the All Inclusive Premium and were very happy with what it covered. Our room, the pool bar and the restaurant food offerings were amazing but what stands out is the happy and attentive staff. There were a number of staff that made our stay special, namely: Sunny and K in the pool bar, Kevin, Dew, Pad and Jiji in the restaurant and not forgetting Kyi the gardener who greeted us every day. Also thanks to Pamly for booking our trips. If you want seclusion, the location is spot on. The hotel does provide a daily return shuttle to Chawang Beach and we used Grab to book a taxi one evening to Fisherman's Village. Would highly recommend the hotel.

This resort is located in a very secluded part of the island, with little to nothing within walking distance. A taxi to Chaweng Beach costs 400 THB one way, and while the hotel does offer a shuttle service twice a day, it must be reserved in advance—and unfortunately, the schedule doesn’t align well with popular island activities like night markets, bars, or fire shows. If you’re hoping to pop out for a traditional Thai massage or even a quick visit to a 7-Eleven, that won’t be possible on foot. The isolation of the resort can feel quite limiting and disappointing if you’re looking to explore. As for the resort itself, it’s well-maintained. The infinity pool is a highlight—absolutely stunning. However, the adults-only pool felt lifeless and was rarely used, with no staff present at the bar. Breakfast was enjoyable, and while there are only two restaurants on-site, the food is good, though priced at five-star rates. Overall, this resort is best suited for those seeking complete seclusion and quiet, away from the vibrant energy that Koh Samui is known for. It’s peaceful—but very much off the beaten path.
