Are few days in Thailand Ko Samui

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

It’s a really nice hotel with good location but I wouldn’t say it’s 4 star worthy due to the food and beverages also the extras such as pools and gyms. They have an extremely hard working staff but often language barrier for me at least a lot of thing got lost in translation for example it took me four separate times to get the correct drink however they try and accommodate and put in a real effort which definitely made me think higher of them. The actually resort location is lovely but very spread out we had friends with a knee problem and found he struggled and waiting for a buggy every time can get quite boring. A large issue I found was the WiFi your constantly having to log back in as it’s feels every time you turn off your phone or device it’s as if it logs you out which can get very jarring. The spa I didn’t try myself but heard it was amazing so would recommend that also with food issues you may struggle like I have on this trip we had a coeliac, a vegetarian and I couldn’t eat things with unhealthy fats (like dairy, sugar, red meats and even carby foods). The coeliac didn’t have any problems and they all were aware until one day in the middle of the trip was surged something with traces of gluten and struggled, I found it hard as there was many options and when I would eat the buffet and think it’s something it turned to be the opposite, however with the vegetarian she had a very good trip as there was lots of options. Another positive they have a trip advisor which some very cool trips like going to temples or the elephant sanctuary which I highly recommend

Management needs a serious makeover

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

⭐ 1/5 – Avoid if You Value Basic Service Currently staying here and honestly shocked. After a 24-hour journey with 3 kids and a sick adult, we were made to wait over 6 hours in the lobby due to a Booking.com error that wasn’t ours. Zero flexibility. No temporary solution. Ended up paying extra for the kids just to get rooms. Management was the worst part — rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Wouldn’t address issues directly and avoided speaking face-to-face. Even staff reacted negatively when her name was mentioned, which says a lot. Rooms (Pool Villa + Interleading Family Room) are dated and poorly maintained: Broken shower handles Dirty, worn sandals Private pool not properly cleaned Six hours of waiting for rooms in this condition is unacceptable. This place has potential, but management is ruining it. No apology, no compensation, no accountability. Would not recommend. Plenty better options out there.

Several technical issues in our room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Mixed feelings at the Melati Beach Resort & Spa. The grounds are beautiful and the beach front is nothing less than impressive. The staff is also courteous and friendly. Their breakfast is impressive offering a plethora of choices with fresh croissants and congee. Our issues was really with the room that had a Air conditioning leaking water in our room. We called the reception and they sent a maintenance crew. They stayed in the room for more than a full hour. The next day same problem. Our shoes were completely soaked in water. The electrical socket next to the bed are a two way switches when they should have been a three way switch. So you only get electricity when sone other lights are on. This is awkward and not functional. When we brought the issue to the reception, they were well aware of this problem. But unfortunately, management did nothing to properly address the constant intrusion in our room and several technical issue we faced. So this was truly disappointing.

Truly magical experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

After travelling around Thailand for almost 10 days and staying in hostels, my partner and I decided to go a bit more upmarket for our stay in Koh Samui. Melati seemed like great value for money, and this turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. The magic started the second we entered the reception: we were greeted with cold towels and delicious coconut ice cream, accompanied by ice-cold jasmine tea. The team were then kind enough to upgrade us to a family villa, which made our stay unforgettable. Throughout our time at the hotel, every single member of staff went above and beyond to give us a truly magical experience—and I must say, they succeeded. I would recommend this place to any party, whether it’s a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family wanting to spend some quality time together. As a side note, the Massaman curry at the beachside restaurant is the best we had in the whole of Thailand.

Exceptional holiday experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Looking for seclusion, total relaxation, beautiful food and amazing service? Stay at the Melati! Had a girls holiday for just over a week and the pictures and reviews do not do this place justice. Rooms: We stayed in a king room, massive comfy bed! The room is very spacious and clean. The staff really do look after you here. We loved the special desserts that were for different days of the week, we looked forward to this every night, such a lovely touch! Restaraunt/food: Buffet breakfast every morning was such good food! The service was consistently amazing and very quick with coffee and additional food orders. The space was always very clean, the staff here do a wonderful job and had kept our favourite seats for us. Special thank you to Padthai, Fon, Ton, Kevin and Jiji you truly made our stay extra special! Pool: Theres two pools, there is the main pool with a pool bar, definitely a favourite! Plenty of lounge space and a beautiful view of the private beach. We were gobsmacked by the view its truly beautiful. There is also a second adults only pool in the garden, this is so beautiful and relaxing and they have phones by the pool so you’re not missing out on getting drinks delivered to you. The pool/bar staff were so amazing! They were on top of everything always! And no request was too big. A very special shout out to Tony, Yeen and Sunny, you guys were a definite highlight and never let our glasses be empty or without a fresh towel and gave us a few laughs! Thank you so so much for everything. Spa: Of course we had to get some spa treatments! I had a thai massage and on another day a 3.5 hour spa treatment. Highly recommend getting these! Great price and a beautiful experience. The thai massage was the best massage I have ever had. I am already looking to come back again! We only left the resort for some activities we had booked but otherwise we were more than happy to relax here all the time! Its only about 15-20min drive to fishermans markets, its a little secluded but not too far so if you’re happy to just relax and shut off from the busyness of life highly recommend coming here!
