Napasai, Koh Samui

Last year we stayed at a resort on Koh Phangan that we loved so much, this year we decided to try their sister resort on Koh Chang. Given the current issues, we were advised not to travel there. The week before departing the UK we had to scramble to find another place to go and a hotel to stay. This left us feeling a little down but as soon as we arrived at Napasai that feeling vanished and was replaced with a sense of calm. The hotel itself is stunning throughout, from the entrance to the hotel you have beautiful lush gardens with pretty lighting and animals walking about. All the buildings are made of wood in traditional Thai style which we loved. You can see the sea from almost anywhere in the hotel and their private beach is lovely. The hotel has windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkels available for you to use whenever you like. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they arranged a hire car for us, booked us taxis and constantly offered us lifts to our room in their buggies. The food and drink at the hotel is fantastic. We loved going for breakfast early and sitting outside looking out at the sea. They have a huge range of breakfast options, Asian, western, continental, juices, coffees and even prosecco. I loved the iced latte. The event the hotel organised for Christmas Eve was very special. Photographers capturing the whole evening. A huge buffet with tons of options. A fire show and a band the entire evening. They even framed one of the photos and left it on our bed. I actually proposed to my girlfriend on the private beach before the Christmas Eve party. I didn’t tell the hotel but they realised and arranged some flowers on our bed for when we got back to the room. The front office staff remembered this and congratulated us the next day too. It was really special. There were multiple little Christmas gifts from biscuits to a small elephant toy with a Santa hat. They also gave us small bracelets as a thank you for staying with them. They also give you different fruits and sweets in your room throughout your stay as well as 4 bottles of water that they replace twice per day. We organised a transfer to the airport with the hotel because we had an early flight. They sent someone to the room to collect our bags. We were leaving before 7am so they even offered to box up some breakfast for us and they had cold towels waiting for us in the car. The only feedback I have and it was very minor, is when ordering drinks by the pool or beach on the app, sometimes they took a long time to arrive. Honestly though, that was a tiny thing and everything else was perfect. The attention to detail in everything they do is amazing. This is a spectacular hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Everything was amazing! I love how quiet the place was perfect for relaxation. All the staff were friendly. Yoga classes were amazing! Great way to start your day. With a beautiful view.

We had a wonderful time and were impressed by the overall experience. Despite the property beginning to show signs of aging, it still exudes a sense of luxury that made our stay enjoyable. Everything was impeccably clean and tidy, and the staff were extremely welcoming and thoughtful, which truly added to the positive experience. However, we did find the food to be slightly off for our tastes, although I'm not quite sure what it was. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the meals during our stay. One area that we felt could use some improvement was the beach. It was somewhat disappointing, and we believe that more effort could be made to keep it tidy. On a positive note, we loved the special touches upon arrival and departure. Those little details made us feel valued and pampered. Our ocean view room was beautiful, and we felt thoroughly spoiled by the stunning views and the overall comfort. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I would highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. Thank you for the memorable time!

There wasn’t a single moment when we thought ‘I wish this had been different.’ Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly attentive and caring, and you feel happy at all times. This has been the best place I’ve ever stayed in my life. The hotel is spotless, and the room is cleaned almost twice a day. Breakfast is amazing. The food and drinks are delicious. It was a dream-like holiday. The activities within the hotel are also enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to coming back again!
