Reviews for Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort

Quiet and peaceful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We had a great 6 nights. Villa was clean and well appointed. Check in smooth. Resort really good and the beach beautiful. The only thing we had an issue with was there were a few teenagers staying and it’s meant to be adults only. One big group was quite noisy. And the bar / food prices are triple those outside - to be expected but please support local at the many local restaurants and massage places! Also - the location is quite remote. Which was great. You can get a can to Chaweng for £3! We did the Pig island tour which was OK and hired a moped and went around the island - recommend.

A gem in paradise.

We stayed there for 10 days in a beachfront pool villa. The location is awesome due to several reasons. First - however close it may be to chaweng and the airport (15 minute taxi ride) - it is far enough away from the noisy party locations and their clientele. Second, the beach is rather private and only used by the resorts guests (occasionally from the neighbouring resort) - so no vendors and no noisy tourists. Third, you have an amazing sunrise every morning. Fourth, if (you don't need to at all) you want to leave the resort, there are a couple of shops, restaurants and massage places within walking distance. The villa itself is another highlight. The indoor is relatively (but not too) small in size, but offers everything you need, including an indoor bathroom which I find most important. It comes with a well-kept private pool and a small garden which offers direct beach access over a flight of stairs. What more could you want? Another big pro is the fact that this is an adults only resort, which contributes to the calm and relaxed atmosphere. The resort itself is rather small (only about 40 villas), located in a lush tropical garden which is kept spotless by a small and constantly smiling army of gardeners. It offers a variety of activities (yoga, SUP...) which are partially included and a spa with massage therapists. They have an app over which you can manage your whole stay, oder food, events, report problems, name it and you got it. If - at whatever time - you send them a message (it works like texting), they respond immediatly and act literally on the spot. We had a small issue with the water drain in the shower, I texted them over the app at 6:37 and someone showed up at the villa at 6:40 and the problem was fixed at 6:45! I've been at a bunch of hotels and resorts which called themself "leading hotels of..." but I have never experienced such a swift and immaculate service. This is also - maybe mainly - because of the sweet kindness of the people that work there. From the manager to the maid, everyone has a smile and works constantly and quickly to make your stay a special experience. We really had only good experiences with the staff, but three people took a special effot so I'd like to mention them separatly: Mook from housekeeping, the sweet and swift angel who can make dust disappear like magic and can also unclog a shower with a smile. Then there are Nium and Little from the service team which knew after two days how we'd like our coffee and drinks. Another guy from service even learned some german words for us after he noticed where we came from (unfortunately I forgot my glasses that day so I don't have a name in this case).

A Hidden Paradise in Perfect Harmony on Koh Samui

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I stayed at SAii Villas & Resorts Koh Samui from December 14 to December 27, where I also celebrated Christmas Eve. From the very first moment, this place felt like stepping into a quiet fairytale. The entire resort is like a hidden oasis, surrounded by lush nature, trees, flowers, and tropical greenery. The villas are beautifully placed throughout the area, each with its own private pool, well shielded from one another. You never feel disturbed. Everything feels calm, balanced, and natural. The welcome on the first day was warm and professional. We received clear and helpful information, and our villa was presented to us in a very thoughtful way. Inside, everything was already in place. Toothbrushes, razors, hygiene products, drinking water. Nothing was missing. The villa itself was perfect in size, extremely clean, well organized, and clearly well maintained. We truly loved our villa from the first minute. The entire resort feels carefully designed to create privacy and peace. The villas are thoughtfully positioned and well shielded by trees and lush vegetation, creating complete privacy and a sense of seclusion. You are never disturbed by other guests, and the atmosphere remains calm and uninterrupted. It truly feels like a protected sanctuary where you can completely relax. What truly makes this place special is the people. The staff are always smiling, polite, and genuinely welcoming. There is a clear sense of harmony among everyone working here, and that harmony naturally reflects on the guests as well. It is easy to see that this resort is led by strong and caring management, and that professionalism runs through the entire organization. Breakfast deserves special mention. It is varied, fresh, and consistently high quality. Alongside classic breakfast options like cheese and bread, there is a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, and warm dishes. Eggs are freshly prepared on request every day, whether you prefer omelets, fried eggs, or scrambled eggs. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared, day after day. Christmas Eve and the day after were handled beautifully. The arrangements were thoughtful, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere felt warm and festive. I know the resort also offers an impressive New Year’s Eve celebration, although I will not be here for that. The beach area is beautiful and well maintained. There are always enough sunbeds available, and fresh beach towels are provided every day, so there is no need to bring anything with you. The water is clean and inviting. The sea can be a bit rocky, so I would recommend water shoes to avoid discomfort. For those who want to stay active, the hotel offers paddle boards and kayaks, as well as good snorkeling opportunities nearby. It is easy to combine relaxation with light activities. The restaurant and bar offer service until late in the evening. Food and drinks can be ordered at almost any time, and the staff working there are incredibly friendly and attentive. You always feel welcome, never rushed. The resort is located slightly outside the city, but it is no more than a ten minute drive. By installing the Grab app, it is easy to order a taxi or motorbike, with prices shown in advance and no surprises later. Fisherman’s Village and Chaweng Beach are both a short drive away, making it easy to experience more lively areas when you want to. This balance is what made the stay so special for me. Complete peace and quiet at the resort, combined with easy access to more vibrant places when desired. Personally, I truly believe this is a small paradise. I spent 13 unforgettable days here, filled with sun, warmth, amazing food, and meeting wonderful people. It is difficult to describe everything in words, but simply put, this is a place that must be experienced. Thank you to everyone working at the hotel, and to the management, for creating such a memorable and beautiful stay. I will definitely return.

5 Star service in a wonderful location

Really lovely (small) spa hotel, the staff are an asset to this hotel, food and servce was excellent, We booked a larger villa to get the larger private pool, this was amazing to cool off during the day or just have a dip in the morning. Location, is good. 711 just up the hill, other supermarkets and restaurants all along the main road to Cheong mon. This is about 1km down the road, safe to walk or jump on one of the many open backed taxis for a quite trip and costs about £2 per person. The beach at Cheong Mon is amazing, full of great bars and restaurants, on an eveing some do entertainment or fire displays, very nice place indeed. The hotel was cleaned every day, the reception team couldn't do enough to ensure we had a good stay.I would highly recommend.
