The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui

The most perfect hotel, beautiful views, excellent customer service and so much more. We spent 5 nights at Ritz Carlton with our family of 4 and what a great experience. This hotel is stunning, the rooms are exceptional, views of the sea just breath taking and customer service at a level that exceeded our expectations. The staff are polite, always willing to help and food was out of this world

Beautiful hotel with stunning rooms, but a few things could be improved. We stayed at a lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and a peaceful atmosphere. However, there is definitely room for improvement. The resort is quite remote, and lunch options are extremely limited — only in-room dining or the poolside restaurant, with everything else closed until 6pm. When you're paying over $1,000 a night, you'd expect more variety, like a lounge or bar offering afternoon cocktails — ideally somewhere other than by the pool, which unfortunately was quite murky during our stay. The staff were all absolutely lovely and attentive, but for a Ritz-Carlton, we had hoped for more dining and drink options throughout the day. Even something simple like afternoon live music or a relaxed terrace bar would make a big difference.

I got my hair cut at Saan, a very professional man, and I really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!! The haircut was fun and included a massage, and at the end I received wine and refreshments by the spa pool. I highly recommend. The salon is clean and air-conditioned, and everything is just perfect.

The Ritz-Carlton in Koh Samui is a hotel we soon won't forget. Our room/suite was luxurious, with a bathroom larger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in! With views of the sea from our perch high on the hill, it became hard to leave the room each day to enjoy the rest of the resort. Highlights: the staff, with a shout-out to Sunny! Somehow, Sunny was everywhere, all the time, greeting us with his warm smile, and making sure our family had everything we needed. Whether at the buffet breakfast (another highlight!), or at check-in, or the complimentary cocktail hour (another highlight!), or at check-out, there was Sunny, greeting us by name and checking up on us. The staff were all amazing, and he is certainly a role model. Between the buffet breakfast, 5.30 cocktail hour, and attentive pool staff, wonderful food and beverages were always available. And the dinner by the beach, with the Fire show, was a real treat for all of us. Unfortunately, beach swimming is limited due to the rocky terrain in the water, but the absolutely tremendous pool overlooking the water makes you quickly forget about swimming in the sea. I can't imagine it getting any nicer in Koh Samui!
