Nestled along the dramatic Kohala Coast and in the piko, or center, of five great mountains, Mauna Lani is a sacred oasis where generations of families and friends have made memories together on soulful lands once cherished by the greatest of Hawaiian royalty. Greet the morning sun as it rises above the mountains' peaks from the seat of an outrigger canoe. Talk story with friends old and new at the Great Lawn as the sounds of ocean waves and laughter mingle. Dine amongst the company of loved ones at CanoeHouse, where locals have savored the island's bounty for decades. As you walk this storied coastline, breathe the rejuvenating salt air and swim in the crystalline waters, you feel the same mana, or spiritual energy, that first captivated legends like King Kamehameha I and Francis H. I'i Brown.
In the rooms you'll find an understated, natural décor that’s bright and refined, with ample hardwood, natural fabrics, and textures that embody the essence of the soulful Hawaiian escape. Our luxury residences are ideal for guests traveling with extended family and friends, or simply desire more space, and rooms located above our adult pool offer a haven for couples or those celebrating something special.

My friend and I needed a staycation, and decided to book a night to this resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the beautiful grand entrance. Went to the front desk where we were greeted by beautiful friendly smiles. Felt the aloha from the concierge, and pretty excited to experience a much needed rest in this beautiful place. The room and view was excellent. The food in CanoeHouse was perfection. Overall, an enjoyable experience, and would love to return and share more good memories in this place.

I feel like I'm on Dancing With The Stars...10! 10! 10! Mauna Lani was out of this world. Greeted with a cold refreshing towel and POG juice, the front desk staff was so welcoming. The pool and beach were fantastic - never had to fight for a pool or beach chair, and we were there when it was 100% occupancy. Towels at your disposal going between the two. The family pool is like bath water - SO warm it was so easy to get in everyday and spend the day in there. The adult pool was understandably quiet - tucked away but also with ocean views. The room was fantastic - with different lighting levels based on time of day to determine brightness, great water pressure and I loved the double sinks on the opposite side of the bathroom! There is a mini fridge for every room - super helpful if you have any beverages to keep cold, fruit, etc. I wish I knew before the visit - every floor has a filtered water machine, so no need to purchase bottled water in advance and just need to bring a reusable water bottle. I believe all rooms have a balcony which is a nice perk if you have kids or just want to listen to the sound of the ocean / birds. I am so looking forward to our next trip out there - it can't come soon enough!

Mauna Lani resort is an incredible tropical paradise! It's an upscale resort with excellent accommodations, friendly and helpful staff and wonderful amenities. It seems to be very well managed and staff seems genuinely happy. There are many activities (some included some for additional charge) that are just wonderful! I would say our favorite "activity", besides playing the incredible (South) golf course, was participating in the sunrise canoe paddle one morning. This was a very inspirational, cleansing, even spiritual experience with the two guides sharing their beliefs/connection to the island/ocean/nature of these very beautiful islands!
