The oom was well appointed. On first inspection appears spotless, but just a few minutes in barefeet and my feet were filthy. They give slippers, but I am not keen on wearing slippers that my granny might have aspired to wear in the 1970s. To be crystal clear, this is not down to the maid, she worked blooming hard, it is very definitely down to the quality of the cleaning materials she is provided with. Breakfast is the absolute jewel in the crown of this hotel. As is often the case, there is a buffet breakfast, but the thing that makes this hotel stand apart from its compeitors is the seperate menu, where you can order omelettes, waffles, pancakes etc. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming & they made for a wonderful start to the day, every day. A particular shout out to Kostas, who was truly wonderful. The grounds are lovely, and the pool is ginormous. No sunbed wars here. However, it severely lacks atmosphere. As a 5* hotel, I had presumed there would be a lifeguard, but I presumed incorrectly. It is not clear how to order drinks from your sunbed - I think you either go to the bar or order room service. Although there are bar staff walking around, they only do this a couple of times each day & they don't seem to want to interact. I know this might seem like I am expecting to be treated like a princess, being waited on hand and foot, but when a soft drink is between 20 & 40% dearer than restaurants in town, you do expect a superior service. This hotel is an approx 30min walk from the main restaurants in Lambi and Kos Town. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel. I have seen that people mention that there are frequent buses - they run approximately every 45 mins (which I do not consider to be frequent) and are dangerously over-filled when the bus reaches the next hotel - the tube during rush hour is less crammed. Taxis are a better option and can be ordered by reception, costing €10 (one-way). Our tour operator described the hotel as having a private beach, which I assumed meant that it was owned by the hotel. They also listed WiFi as being available in all areas. It is not available on the beach. The 'private' beach is unkempt and dirty and sorely lets the hotel down. The hotel can arrange car hire, which we utilised. Not the cheapest, but the service was extraordinary. There is onsite parking, but this quickly gets taken up and was not helped by the selfish parking of a staff member's Range Rover. We requested and received a late check-out room (the extra charge was worth every penny). This was truly appreciated. All of these points were mentioned to the hotel when we completed a paper survey about half-way through our stay. No-one came back to us, despite the survey requesting our name & room number - if I were cynical I might think that the survey was 'filed' in the bin. I know I have griped, but we did have a lovely stay as we made the best of it (when life gives you lemons & all that) but we will not return to this hotel (or its sister hotels). The facilities may tick the 5* box, but the poor atmosphere, dirty beach and poor transportation links means that it's a no from us.

Had an absolutely fabulous 2 week holiday at this hotel at the end of September 2025 Found it be what a 5 star hotel should be, very clean, spacious de lux room, excellent staff who REALLY LOOKED after their guests. No problems with sunbeds at anytime of the day. This was the 1st time we had stayed at this hotel, having had it recommended to us, felt so comfortable after only 2 days we immediately booked to return in May 2026. Our tour operator warned us before arrival that the swimming pool would be unheated. I have read the negative posts below and wondered if these people had stayed at the same establishment. I have tried to find a negative remark to pass on but cannot find one. The bus service was no problem, on 1 occasion it was running late out of Kos before it would return to pick us up, it was a windy/chilly evening and the driver at no extra cost took us on board so we could keep warm which meant we had a free 10 minute tour of the area. We usually got a taxi back which was 10 euros, come on, your on holiday forget the expense. I sincerely recomend this hotel.

Just returned from a week in Kos staying at Diamond Deluxe - a very stylish looking hotel with a beautiful pool area but designed more for style than comfort of seating. However that was made up for by hotel staff who were all charming, friendly and helpful. We had a suite with a private pool but sadly the pool was not heated and our room was north-facing so the water was too cold to swim. We didn't expect the main pool to be heated, but were looking forward to using the 2 jacuzzis in the pool area. Unfortunately these were likewise unheated and therefore of no use to us (or anyone in the hotel) and remained unused by anyone for the week of our stay. Thinking that this could be a maintenance issue we went to reception to report it. The general manager heard us and curtly said that the jacuzzis 'were not advertised as being heated'. We said that this was unusual in our experience of what are meant to be 5 star hotels and would need to go on our review on TripAdvisor to inform others. She replied rudely that she was threatened with TripAdvisor every day and really didn't care, after which she turned her back on us and walked away. Such a shame that what could and should be a really good hotel is spoiled by leadership that is not interested in guest experience or change for the better. We will not be returning.

Highlights * Adults-only resort * Perfect for those seeking tranquillity * Sandy, private beach * Multiple pools * Excellent food & cocktails * Easy access to Kos town Hotel Our second visit to Diamond Deluxe Hotel in September 2025 exceeded even our high expectations from 2023. We had previously stayed in September 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed the calm, serene atmosphere and couldn’t wait to go back. It is located on a coastal road, about 30mins drive from the airport and 10mins drive from Kos town. It is a relatively undeveloped stretch of road, so there isn’t the usual array of shops, bars and restaurants that you might expect to find on your doorstep. The hotel gives a “wow” factor when you first arrive. It is an impressive resort, immaculately clean, well equipped, well maintained, picturesque gardens with fruit and olive trees, and friendly staff with a “can-do” attitude. From the front desk to the servers and the bar staff, nothing was too much trouble. You can tell they take pride in their hotel and their guest experience. Rooms On both occasions we stayed in a Superior Deluxe Swim Up Room where we had our own patio area, with a table and chairs, a double sun lounger and umbrella and direct access to the pool. We cannot fault the rooms. Plenty of space, perfectly clean, air conditioned, well maintained, and well laid out. All the amenities you might expect from a 5-star hotel. The bed was comfy, plenty of sockets for charging gadgets and they even provided a handy wooden ladder frame that you could take out onto the patio to dry your swimwear. The room was serviced daily and fresh towels provided. It was like walking into the room for the first time but every day. Speaking of towels, you don’t have to bring your own beach towel or use the bathroom towels poolside or on the beach. On arrival you are given a towel card which you simply exchange in the spa for a spa towel which you are free to use poolside or on the beach, and you can replace it with a clean fresh towel daily or as needed. Pool Diamond Deluxe Hotel benefits from an impressive main outdoor pool with a waterfall at one side, a smaller outdoor pool and an indoor pool, all with crystal clear, ultra clean blue water. There are comfy cushioned sun loungers with umbrellas aplenty (no need to “reserve” with a towel at the crack of dawn) and wherever you lounge, you have easy access to the pool to take a short dip to cool off, get in some lengths, or just to float and relax. Poolside service is also available, so you’re never far away from a delicious snack or cocktail. Food & Drink The food at the Emerald restaurant was excellent. A plentiful continental breakfast selection with a good variety of cooked options and a locally inspired menu for evening meals, changed daily. The Radiant pool bar had a very relaxed atmosphere, and the staff ensured you were taken care of with table service, expertly prepared drinks (loved watching the cocktails being made - no premix here) and service with a smile. Each drink was served with a small tub of mixed nuts. A nice touch and much appreciated. The Radiant bar also served up a good menu of light bites and meals for lunch. Beach The beach, private to the hotel, offered an alternative place to relax from the pool. Clean, litter free, soft sand, comfy cushioned sun loungers with fixed, thatched parasols (plenty of availability - no need to “reserve” with a towel at the crack of dawn), crystal clear Aegean Sea waters, this was heaven. Sun, sea, sand, peace and quiet. And if you fancied a cocktail, no problem. Staff regularly patrol the beach and will happily bring you your order. Whilst the beach is sandy, the shoreline can be pebbly and rocky, so a pair of water shoes is advised for when you go into the sea. It will make all the difference. Local Area Diamond Deluxe hotel has a great range of amenities with occasional live music in the bar of an evening, meaning you don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want to. However, if you want to get out and about or take in the sights, Kos town is just a short journey away. For shopping, eating, or soaking up the atmosphere, Kos town is a vibrant place to visit. Whether you take a taxi (the reception staff are more than happy to order you one) or get the bus (bus stop right outside the hotel), you’re just 10mins away. Taxis are a fixed price of €10 per journey (at the time of writing) and there are taxi ranks along the harbour to take you back, one opposite the I Love Kos sign and one at Dolphin Square. Taxis are very popular and busy so you may have to wait long periods for one to be available. Buses run about every 45mins, are €2 per person per journey (at the time of writing) and terminate/start from Dolphin Square. We took a mix-and-match approach, sometimes taking a taxi and sometimes the bus. Given both have similar journey times, we were inclined to take the bus and use the money saved for a cocktail at the Radiant pool bar! Overall, we cannot rate Diamond Deluxe Hotel highly enough for a luxury, 5-star, adults-only getaway! We're already planning our third visit.

We arrived late and were pleased to be upgraded to a superior room with large balcony, overlooking the whole complex with both sea and mountain views. The room was spacious and had all the necessary facilities, including a Nespresso machine, which was restocked daily. The housekeeping staff were excellent, cleaning the room early morning, as requested, whilst we were out. Special mention also to the breakfast waiting staff who took good care of us. The breakfasts are something else - a huge choice on the buffet with additional items via the a la carte menu. Staying here, I would definitely recommend car hire. The hotel beach is not very appealing so we drove 15 mins most days along the coast to Tigaki. Only two negative points - the cold tap on the hand basin was almost impossible to turn (bring pliers) and I could have done without two hours of electric guitar solos on the Saturday night (the entertainment). I thought it would never stop! All in all a very relaxing holiday in superb accommodation.
