Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong

Excellent stay in Executive Suite - Classic luxury done right I stayed in a One Double Executive Suite and it was exceptionally spacious. Classic, elegant style, very well maintained. The layout is a real plus: a separate living area from the bedroom and two full bathrooms, which makes it very comfortable for a longer stay. Impeccable cleanliness throughout. Breakfast is outstanding: a true international spread with a great variety of Chinese, Japanese and Western options, including fresh pastries and croissants, cooked-to-order dishes and fresh fruit. Location is very central and convenient in Kowloon, ideal for both business and sightseeing. Thoughtful touches: Acqua di Parma Colonia bathroom amenities, coffee machine and water dispenser in the room and fruit on arrival. Concierge service was highly efficient, professional and very helpful. A hotel that truly upholds the Shangri-La standards. I will definitely return.

For me the location is very convenient, near to shopping, to the high speed train to China and not far away from the Star Ferry terminal. I stay with Shangri-La Kowloon more than 16 years and the service and the atmosphere is outstanding. Second home to me. It is rather easy for a hotel to get to a high standard, but it is always difficult to maintain this standard; they do it with ease. Looking forward to my next trip already.

The hotel design was similar to the one in Kuala Lumpur which i also really liked.The flowers in the vase at the reception were wonderfull.The rooms are also clean and the ladies who clean the room were very helpful and friendly .

Unfortunately whoever is running the lunch buffet at Cafe Kool is completely clueless or not educated enough to know what should accompany each dish. A half decent roast beef in the carvery had none of the expected accompaniments one would expect - no roast potatoes, no Yorkshire pudding, no roast vegetables- just sweet potato fries - laughable and third world.

We always enjoy our breakfast both in the horizon lounge and cafe kool specially during early times when there are only few guests. Service and foods are excellent. Always looking forward to our next breakfast there.
