It’s my first time at Horizon Club, and it was a wonderful experience. As soon as you walk into the check-in office at the Club, you are greeted with a welcome drink. During the registration process, you can feel a sense of privacy and respect. The Horizon Club Lounge is facing to the Victoria Harbour. The food, snacks, and drinks were delicious. The manager there also prepared a cake and champagne to celebrate our anniversary—it was such a thoughtful gesture. I would like to say thank you to all the staff at Horizon Club (Max, Cattie, Buddy, Janis, Jessica, Kit, Niki, Elisa, Wing, Hebe, Tony, Yanmi, and Tiffany). Specially. thanks to Wing Shum and Janis, who can serve guests with warm smiles and patience early in the morning. Back in the room, everything in excellent standard—clean, tidy, and well-appointed. The bed size, room layout, high-quality bedding, bathtub, and the stunning view of Victoria Harbour all made our stay memorable. This is exactly how we love to experience Shangri-La Kowloon. Every stay with Shangri-La brings surprises and unexpected delights. It truly makes us feel at home—warm and safe. As soon as you walk through the main door, Mr. Allan greets you with a gentle smile and a heartfelt “Welcome home.” Once again, thank you to the Guest Relations Team (Amber, Vivienne, Molly, Samantha, and BoBo) for the lovely surprises and arrangement. My next trip is to Bangkok in August, and I will definitely be staying at Shangri-La Bangkok. I’m already looking forward to visiting the Horizon Club there and sharing my experience. Well done, Shangri-La Group! Hopefully, I can get back my Jade member in this year.

We (6 adults and 4 kids) were originally planned to fly from LAX to Taiwan then rest for few hours before continuing to HK. However, due to the typhoon in Taiwan. EVA airline cancelled our flight by sending us email at 2:00 in the morning. We were panic and scrambled to find any flight to HK as EVA never picked up the phone no matter how many times we called. Finally, we found Cathay Pacific, and we arrived in HK like 7 in the morning. Well Shangri La does not have early check-in like The Peninsula. We were tired and hungry with tons of luggage. Staffs were exceptionally nice to allow us to rest at the Horizon Club and even gave us one free breakfast at the club. We did book the Horizon club together with our rooms. Rooms are very nice and clean. I would highly recommend to book Horizon Club with the room as it worths every single penny. My son ate a lot when he likes the food. They have a lot of selection both at the 21st floor Club room with great view of the harbor, and we can also use Cafe Kool too. Their pastry is damn good, and I cannot refuse to eat every day even I may gain weight. Horizon Club includes breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening snacks. Evening snacks can fill you up for the night. It is a super nice gesture of the hotel to give us an anniversary cake and a bottle of Champion when we got inside our room. The only negative thing about this hotel is its swimming pool. It is unrealistically tiny. And one of the staffs in suit at the pool told me we have to make appointment to use the pool. Honestly, we travelled a lot and visited decent numbers of hotels and never heard of anything like requires booking to use the pool. I was about to complain to the general manager regarding that policy, if any. However, my wife stopped me from complaining about it as other staffs were very nice and friendly. When we checked out after a week of stay, we told them my in-law lost two of their umbrellas in the subway. They did not even charge us for the umbrellas. Well, we will definitely come back next time we visited HK. I would definitely give the hotel 5 stars if I was not told that we have to make appointment to use the tiny, little pool. By the way, we never made any appointment when we used the pool again, and no one had stopped us from using it.

Very spacious and large rooms. Great location on the Harbourfront but just far enough to be outside the throngs around the Star Ferry terminal. Adjacent to an MTR subway station and plenty of little restaurants nearby. The rooms aren’t particularly modern looking but were very clean and comfortable. But what made the stay for us was the superb staff, from Omar the bellman who went out of his way to track down little presents for the kids to Roy at the front desk who helped us with a late checkout. The service and staff everywhere in the hotel were great and made the stay. The lobby was also kid friendly with a huge stuffed panda and a cute little bakery corner with adorable coffee cup seats. Overall this was a wonderful base for our family from which to explore Hong Kong!

We arrived earlier than our scheduled check-in time, and the Guest Relations Manager, Amber Lee, went out of her way to make sure we could check in and settle in for a rest right away. During our stay, a typhoon hit the area, and Amber proactively kept us informed with all the necessary updates and information throughout, which gave us real peace of mind. Her attentiveness and willingness to help at every step made a real difference to our stay. Amber is a genuine asset to the team and deserves recognition for her exceptional service. She’s the reason I’ll be choosing this hotel again the next time I’m back.

Extremely helpful staff in the lounge. Very good food options and great views. Accommodated seating at the window each night of stay.
