Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong

The room had excellent harbor view and the buffet offered great variety of delicious items. Amber Lee - the guest relation manager - extended a warm welcome to us during check-in. She was patient in listening to our needs and helped us tremendously in preparing some gifts for our friends in Hong Kong. She demonstrated genuine commitment in assisting her hotel guests to the best of her ability. I even received a follow-up call from her the next day asking how we were doing so far. Kudos to Amber!

A nice hotel but starting to show its age in the rooms. Booked a Horizon Club Victoria view room. The view from the room was amazing at Level 17 to Victoria Harbour. Horizon Club was great and service very good. We booked in at a peak time so everything was very busy - lobby, breakfast, lounges etc. Room was large & great views. Furniture in the room had alot of scratches, dents etc. & walls alot of scuff marks. Shower pressure was excellent and linen/pillows were high quality. Housekeeping was very good. This hotel is very close to East Tsim Sha Sui so easy if you are using the MTR.

It’s been 20 years since I last visited and stayed at the Kowloon Shangri-La and it was as good as I remember. With a family in tow this time we opted for a two room exec suite which was fantastic. With two kids one slept on the roll away and the other we made up a bed on the couch. The service was top notch as always and location is hard to beat. We especially loved the horizon club here with amazing views of HK harbor and excellent food and drink at breakfast and evening tea, which was good enough to be dinner for us. Would highly recommend upgrading for access as it is a lovely amenity and probably saves you money with meals you’ll eat there.

Went to the horizon club with my friend to have a drink after check in because we were told that our room is still getting ready, I ordered 2 glasses of watermelon juice, hours later, my temperature dropped down very low, my body had chills during the afternoon tea at the lobby lounge and symptoms severed when I had the dinner buffet at Cafe Kool with my friend, I didn’t eat much because I was starting to feel nauseous, so I went to my hotel room to rest, afterwards, I vomited an hour after laying in my bed, I drank some hot water to hydrate my body, I also had some hot tea before resting in bed, and then after two hours, I vomited again- honestly, this was my pre birthday staycation with my friend that went completely wrong! I won’t recommend booking here or even dining at their facilities, there are lots of better options in TST!

Amber Lee has been an excellent host. I highly recommend. Room was spotless. Gifts and snacks were delicious. Spacious and comfortable: and what a view.
