Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur

Mandarin Oriental in KL was a luxurious experience with helpful staff. The Concierge Desk staff were very knowledgeable about what to do and where to eat. Attention to detail was exceptional e.g. I left a charging cable hanging loose. When I returned it had been neatly tied with Mandarin Oriental cable tag.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here. We were blown away by our arrival: as we entered the beautiful lobby with its stunning flower arrangements, live music was being played by a gamelan ensemble as part of the Ramadan celebrations. A unique experience. We stayed in garden view room on the 25th floor and the view was superb. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with ample sitting room. It’s true that if a hotel like this were to be built today, it would have larger bathrooms that this, but the bathroom was still attractively decorated and well kept-up. The pool area is beautiful, with fantastic service: people literally run up to arrange your sunbed for you. Breakfast is very nice, although I have seen an even larger variety of dishes at the cooking stations of other southeast Asian hotels. Service was very good. There was only one disappointment. The lounge restaurant overlooking the park, which is very beautiful, was extremely busy due to the large number of guests celebrating Ramadan, so we made a reservation with the concierge one morning to be sure of a table. When we arrived that evening, there was no record of a reservation, and we had to be squeezed into the least interesting corner of the buffet restaurant next door. Apart from that, however, there was virtually nothing to criticize. If we return to KL, we know where to go.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed, and everything was perfectly in order. There was truly nothing to fault. The Club Lounge has recently been renovated and looks fantastic; a great place to relax and enjoy the excellent service. We would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in a Club Park View premium room. This was our first visit to a MO hotel. Our normal go to is IHG. The service throughout was excellent.True Malaysian hospitality. Our bedroom was very well appointed. The bathroom is starting to look a little dated but still very clean and functional hence the 4 stars. The club lounge is in the top 3 we have visited on our travels. It was never too busy. We dined here for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks with canapés. All were excellent. A shout out to the lounge guest manager Mohana Balu who took care of us. When our flights back home were cancelled she arranged an extra night for us. Special thanks to Sukarno and Aslam on the front doors. Your smiles and humour were infectious. We will absolutely be back when our travels take us to KL.

During our stay at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, my wife and I had breakfast in Mosaic every morning. It is not only that the wide selection of food was always fresh, the service was top notch! The restaurant staff was very attentive. We were grateful to meet the Assistant Manager, Yeop. He was very professional, friendly and efficient. We were truly impressed by his memory of our preferences and all kinds of special requests. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had wonderful dining experience every morning. We also enjoyed our lunch and dinner at Lai Po Heen. The quality and presentation of the dishes were out of the world! The exceptional service and the incredible view of the KLCC Lake Symphony Light Show made our stay very memorable. Looking forward to our next visit to MO KL!
