This is a brand new hotel in Kuala Lumpur. We used our Hyatt points to book one room and paid cash for a second room to compare the experience — one twin room and one king room. The hotel entrance feels rather empty and not very inviting. You walk through the entrance and go up to the second floor via a long escalator, where a few customer reps are waiting. They then usher you to an elevator that takes you to the check-in floor, which is on the 100th-plus floor. The check-in area itself was very nice, much more inviting than the entrance. Check-in was smooth — much better than my experience at Grand Hyatt KL a few days earlier. We were upgraded to Deluxe rooms, which were lovely. The room was beautiful with a breathtaking view — KL really does have an amazing skyline. The bed was very comfortable, and we received welcome fruits on the table. The bathroom felt spacious and posh, and the closet was huge. My sons said it was the best room they'd stayed in during our KL trip. Breakfast the next morning was a mix of buffet and à la carte, and the food was delicious and high quality. A highlight was meeting the outlet manager, Kris Yau, who was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, breakfast the following day was a different story. It was very busy and the wait staff seemed overwhelmed — we waited 20 minutes for our order, were given food we didn't order, and then our actual order arrived much later. A complete 180 from the day before. We tried the pool, but it was a bit too cold, and the jacuzzi was occupied by children. We did enjoy the soaking tub in the men's changing room, though, which also has a lovely KL view. We likely will come back again next year.

My wife and I just had the most wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Merdeka. Honestly, it’s not just the hotel that makes it special. It’s the people. Every single staff member we met went above and beyond with such warm, genuine service. From check-in to checkout, we were greeted with real smiles that made our stay so much sweeter. The service felt personal, thoughtful, and full of care. Thank you to the entire Park Hyatt Merdeka team for making our time together so memorable. We’ll be back!

Room is clean comfortable . The staff is friendly and kind . We were satisfied with the spa and steam bath. Definitely will come again with my family.
