The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur

Stayed 1 night at The Ritz-Carlton KL recently for a short getaway. Check-in was swift and efficient, got to our room quickly. Room itself was great - spacious, well-appointed, clean and very comfortable. Classic Ritz luxury feel but a bit dated. Special mention to our butler - She was fantastic, attentive, proactive and really embodied Ritz-Carlton hospitality. We had bought 6 boxes of biscuits from the hotel and needed a bag to carry them. The lady butler was extremely helpful and went out of her way to find a suitable bag that could fit all 6 boxes perfectly. Really appreciated that thoughtful gesture. A couple of areas for improvement: At check-in, while it was fast, the staff could have been more helpful by providing more information about the hotel facilities, breakfast timings, club benefits etc. We had to ask for most things rather than it being offered. Breakfast was the bigger miss. The wait staff were not very attentive - we arrived and our table was not set up, had to wait and flag someone down for cutlery and to get attention for napkins. For a hotel of this calibre, you would expect more attentive service. Overall a pleasant stay with a beautiful room, and the butler service really saved the experience. With a bit more attention to detail at breakfast and front desk, it would be a perfect 5. Hope to return again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur. From the beautiful hotel and excellent facilities to the exceptional level of service, everything felt truly five-star. A very special mention must go to Cora Lim, who was outstanding throughout our stay. My wife has OCD and arthritis, which can sometimes make travelling and staying in hotels more challenging. Cora went above and beyond to understand our needs, help with every request and make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Her kindness, patience and genuine willingness to help made such a difference to our experience. She made us feel looked after rather than inconvenienced, and that level of care is something we will genuinely remember. Cora is an incredible asset to The Ritz-Carlton — easily one of the best members of hotel staff we have encountered during our travels. Thank you to Cora and the entire Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur team for making our stay so special. We would happily return and highly recommend the hotel, particularly for the outstanding service. A true 5-star experience.

Friendly greeting on arrival. Check-in was effortless. Our room was on the 13th Flr - very quiet. We had a King Deluxe Room. Very spacious and comfortable bed. First time i’ve seen a 13th floor at a hotel. Breakfast was plentiful, with a wide choice available. Again, staff were very attentive. Location was perfect! 5 min walk to shopping mall, bars & restaurants. 15min walk via the pedestrian walkway to The Petronas Towers. Highly recommend using Bolt for short (& very cheap) taxi drive to Chinatown and temples. Visit Batu Caves early (9:00am) to avoid crowds, humidity and sun, so that your climb (270 steps) to the cave is more pleasurable.

One of the Best City Ritz-Carlton Stays I’ve Had We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday and had a really memorable stay. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite and also received 4PM late checkout, which made the stay much more relaxing. The birthday decoration in the room was way beyond what I expected, and they also prepared a birthday cake. It was such a nice surprise and really made the celebration feel special. A special mention to Alex at the front desk, who was very detailed and helpful. The concierge team was also very welcoming and always ready to assist. The staff at The Club Lounge were excellent — very friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was seriously good too, especially the local dishes. We had most of our meals there, and on the last morning we tried breakfast at The Cobalt Room, which had a much wider selection. Everything we tried was really good. The hotel may be one of the older Ritz-Carlton properties, but honestly, it still looks elegant and very well maintained. I personally don’t see the age of the hotel as a downside at all. The only small downside for families is that there is no kids’ pool at the Ritz-Carlton itself. However, we were allowed to use the kids’ pool at JW Marriott next door, which actually worked out really well and gave us something different to do. From my past Ritz-Carlton stays, I would honestly say this is the best city Ritz-Carlton I’ve stayed at so far. Of course, I wouldn’t compare a city hotel directly with a Ritz-Carlton resort because the experience is completely different, but among the city properties I’ve experienced, this one really stands out. The service felt warmer, more personal and more attentive than I expected, especially considering this is also one of the more affordable Ritz-Carlton properties. Would definitely stay again.
