The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur

It was wonderful checking in by Mr Saddiq. Very Soft spoken and good gentlemen.Later were welcomed by Mr Masum a good and very helpful and caring. Chef Danial made very good fish on my Birthday. Other staff at the lounge was very helpful and attentive Nicole,Alex,May,Hannah,Olivia,Ariff ( Good person) Anne,Andrea , Bohar and Furhan all very helpful and caring. I enjoyed my Birthday a lot Good food and Drinks. Best hotel in KL.

We stayed one night at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur with our 11-month-old son, on the way home after a longer stay in Langkawi. This property is often described as one of the most reasonably priced Ritz-Carlton hotels in the world, and it was easy to see why it draws a large Japanese clientele — Japanese was heard almost as often in the lobby as at home. The building shows some age, and the overall design does not have the polish of a newly renovated property. That said, the room itself was spotless, the bedding was comfortable, and a baby cot was set up without any friction, giving us a workable layout for nighttime feeding and settling our son. A short welcome message with our name on the in-room TV was a small but appreciated touch on arrival. Breakfast was generous and distinctly Malaysian in character, with a signature nasi lemak station (chicken kurma and fish sambal), an Indian curry corner with roti canai and dhal, plus the usual international spread of fruit, cold cuts, and salads. Quality and variety were both solid, though nothing about the breakfast felt exceptional for the brand. What genuinely elevated the stay was the outdoor pool and the separate kids' play room. The pool, framed by the surrounding high-rises, was comfortable and safe enough for us to swim together with our son. Meanwhile the kids' room — complete with a play tent, a toy train set, and a wall-mounted screen with children's programming — kept him happily occupied the moment we walked in. It reminded us of a similar family-friendly balance we experienced at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka. For a single-night stopover with an infant, this hotel delivered exactly what we needed: a clean, comfortable room, a genuinely fun pool and play space for our son, and none of the friction that can come with a less family-oriented property. Fantastic stay at Ritz Carlton booked two club rooms. Enjoyed club lounge for Lunch, High Tea, Cocktail time with Masum and Bahar. Rooms are large, and clean. Location is great to all sites. Will definitly come again.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Kuala Lumpur for 1 night before catching an early morning flight. The location is nice if you want to be near the shopping in Bukit Bintang while being set off the main street. Our grab driver pulled into the first entrance which was only for club rooms, though the marking wasn’t clear. A doorman checked if we were on their list and indicated we had to go to the next entrance to reach the lobby. The hotel appeared sold out per the app and a room was not immediately available when we arrived early. However the hotel held our luggage and sent us an email when the room was ready, which was still before standard checkin. To reach the rooms you have to go up an escalator from the lobby to locate the elevators. We noticed that the seating area near the elevators smelled like smoke and cleaning supplies. We did not receive an upgrade as Platinum elite members but the room and bathroom were spacious. There is no club lounge for platinum members but we received free breakfast. Because we departed too early to eat in the restaurant, the hotel offered to arrange a bagged breakfast for us, which was available at check out. The takeaway breakfast included a small sandwich of white bread and a choice of chicken, ham or egg, an apple, yogurt and choice of coffee. Overall it was an ok experience for a very short stay though not a particularly memorable stay.

We unfortunately only stayed two nights on our way home to Melbourne. We arrived very early from Paris & our room was not ready but we were treated so well. As club members we enjoyed some breakfast and then chilled by the pool. We really appreciated that our room was ready by 12-30, what a lovely room. So large after travelling through Europe and the joy of great air conditioning. Everything was perfect - so thank you to the wonderful staff who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Lounge access was great as we were both feeling tired & not sleeping. We didn’t have to think too much about what to do. Went for a walk on our last night & followed the signs to the Petronas Towers, hadn’t been able to purchase tickets but we saw them in all their glory! Thank you again.
