Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Just stayed there for a short trip sponsored by my oversea aunt. Coming from someone who also works in a hotel, I am amazed at how well kept the hotel is, despite its age. Plus my aunt can be on the demanding side so you know it’s a good hotel when she only stays here when she visits . She won’t stay a second time if it’s not good Rooms were well maintained , ac was freezing cold ( not a complain) , Horizon club vibes were quiet and good. The staff there was super attentive from the moment you sit, they come and take your orders. During evening cocktails, they actively try to top up your glass. Went to the Shang for lunch the next day, food was amazing especially the ginger fried rice with crab meat ( wrong name my apologies, I forgot the exact name) . Tho one thing to note was dim sum came after main dishes ( my fault I forgot to tell the waiter ) Thank you so much for the stay and hope I can come back ..on my own :)

5 star no way ! tired dated room adequate but certainly not luxury. Bars close closes at 11. But worse the breakfast this morning. Dirty noisy more like work canteen. staff wiping tables off onto the seating. Huge lines for Luke warm tired looking food. Literally can not boil an egg. Served a raw hard boiled age. Luke warm mug of tea. Left in disgust with a banana Would not trust the cooked food. People wandering around in sweaty gym clothes Absolutely awful. This is 5 stars in no way

I eas cisited lemon garden dining last week Saturday, ms Shermin was warm welcome me and my family while escorted to lemon garden restaurant much appreciated for the kind service in suangri-la hotel.

We spent 3 nights in a family suite at the Shangri-La KL and were blown away by the hospitality and kindness demonstrated by all the staff especially in the Horizons Club. Xiinweii, front desk manager assisted with our booking and organised lovely room decorations and birthday cake surprise for my daughter and husband. We checked in directly into our suite and had the best 3 nights with breakfast and Horizon club benefits included. We tried breakfast at the main buffet but were more impressed with the Horizon club breakfast. It was certainly less crowded and the ala carte options were great. Afternoon tea and evening canapés at the Horizons club was also wonderful. Our suite on the 25th floor was spacious and beautiful, housekeeping was excellent, food was amazing and service all round was perfect. We couldn’t ask for anything more! Thank you Shangri La KL for a memorable weekend away and making my family feel very special.

We stayed in this fabulous hotel on our way to and from Australia. The staff do deliver on ‘Malaysian hospitality’ and a shout to Nabilah on the reception. Everything about it is top class
