Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

I will write a review on the hotel as a whole but just wanted to mention as I sit here on my last day, the excellent service at the pool bar. We stayed at the Shangri-La for 6 nights in May, and frequented the pool nearly everyday. A welcome space to relax after a busy morning site seeing. I wanted to make a particular mention of thanks to Fadhil who looked after us all week. He was so attentive and made a special effort to tend to us, knowingly our orders, and even keeping our glasses topped up with rose as we hid under a sun umbrella in the rain! It’s the little things like this that make a trip special! It’s been a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Our third trip to KL and we’ve always stayed here. This trip was better than ever. Great location and facilities with a well appointed, quiet and comfy room. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Everyone we met provided professional friendly and courteous service. Best hotel breakfast we’ve ever experienced with a dizzying choice of freshly prepared options. We hope to return!

Having a great experience, assisted by Fadhil who make an order of fried rice and pink lemonade for me to have it at poolside. Really nice and friendly guy! Have a good chat with him also.

Had a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner at Shang Palace. Everything was great! Love the Peking Duck, the prawn, the soup, seafood claypot XO tofu, steamed fish, etc. Freshness, flavours and service were top notch too. 👍🏼

My family of 12 pax were guests here from 8 May to 12 May. We received the warmest hospitality and highest level of professional service during our stay. We were greeted with genuine smiles and a level of authenticity that can best be described as winsome. From the concierge team led by Aliff, to the teams at Lemon Garden, Shang Palace (led by Jennie) and the Horizon Club Lounge (led b y Noryati & Mandy) to the management team most ably led by Mr Daniel Kaeflein, Somik Banarjee, Desmond and others (too many to mention) - it was incredible for us to be served by this family of staff that obviously held up the highest standards. Special thanks to Noryati who coordinated our stay, which as usual, seemed far too short when it came time for us to bid farewell!
