Don't go here expecting the typical Hyatt Regency hospitality and experience. Also, the hotel is older and due for a refresh. If you want a higher end or comfortable experience, this is not the hotel.

Kyoto is amazing. Rooms are very nice, breakfast is excellent and service in all areas is very good.

It is right next to my fav temple in Kyoto, Sanjisangendo temple. The hotel lush landscape are crafted like an oasis. The hotel interior are so beautiful and good mix of Japanese elements with western architecture. Modern yet has strong Japanese cultural representation. I need to shout out to the Japanese front deck manager who helped me sort out this accommodation as I was one day late miscalcuated my arrival date? Yet they knew I came from far overseas, and tired. I am very happy staying here. Good memories.

We were extremely happy with our hotel selection. I always enjoy Hyatt Regency hotels but this particular one was much better than I was anticipating. The area was convenient and near a train station, yet quiet at night. The staff was very accommodating to our group of 7 across 3 rooms. The rooms were immaculate with great amenities. The concierge even helped us get reserved tickets to the Gion Matsuri float parade. I have never had a better experience.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff is perhaps the kindest and most attentive we have ever experienced. The room is lovely. The area is nice with a museum across the street and a large, beautiful temple right next door. The buffet breakfast is stunning with a wide variety of options.
