Nayara Gardens

WOW! What a place to experience. The grounds, the food, the drink, the animals…the people and culture. We spent a week at this awesome location to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. We wanted location, relaxation, experience and adventure…got it all. The rooms are top-notch and very private. The grounds are made so you feel all alone. The restaurants were amazing. Great location and views to enjoy the local town, the volcano and thermal springs. The people were great and a few that I want to call out for the best service! From check in to check out and answering all of our questions along the way…Alonso was there to serve and take all worried a way. The bellman/cart drivers were all great but a huge shoutout to Axel and Michael. So knowledgeable about Costa Rica and all it has to offer. They knew about every plant and animal—secrets sloth and frog insights. lol. They found us all the hidden animals along the way. Did you know there is a Blue Jean frog? Michael found us one! How about the service at restaurants and bars…Raquel was always smiling, always remembered our names and addressed us by them-so personal. She is great! Christopher knew our drinks after the first order and remembered them all week. He was always smiling and we never waited for a cold one. Cheers! Our drive back to the airport was with Gerardo…what a pleasure and the best conversation. He knew so much about the culture and history of Costa Rica! I asked so many questions and he knew it all. He should be teaching at the university with his knowledge. Not a better way to leave a great week than spending time with him and having a great conversation! Unforgettable experience and thanks to all that made it possible. Five stars and highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted. We were greeted with a chilled vanilla-mint towel and a refreshing Costa Rican mule before being escorted to our dreamy casita overlooking the volcano — absolute perfection. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. Every single person we encountered was warm, kind, and genuinely eager to make sure we were well cared for. The attention to detail here is unmatched. The complimentary breakfast was incredible — it begins with fresh coconut water and offers an array of local and international favorites. The mini-bar and laundry service are both complimentary (what a treat!), and our casita featured indoor and outdoor showers, a private plunge pool, and nightly turndown service. The resort is surrounded by lush rainforest, so there’s endless wildlife watching right from your terrace — toucans, sloths, and more. Every corner of Nayara Gardens feels magical, luxurious, and peaceful. This was truly one of the best resort experiences we’ve ever had. We left feeling pampered, relaxed, and already dreaming of our next visit. 🌿💚

Nayara Gardens exceeded every expectation and is easily the best resort I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were outstanding, always warm, attentive, and genuinely a joy to interact with. A special thank you to Jazmin, who went above and beyond throughout my stay. From arranging a smooth room change and quick laundry service (within hours!), to sharing her favourite hidden heated pools, and even helping me bring home a very unique and meaningful souvenir, she made my visit unforgettable. I also appreciated Jefferson’s help at the front desk. A quick shout out to Brian the bellhop, who provided great, personalized service, and fun knowledge about the property's resident wildlife. Dining was another highlight. The breakfast buffet at La Terraza was always fresh and had ample options - I especially loved the fresh coconut water they provided every morning! My dinner at Asia Luna on my second night included a special surprise from the sushi chef and Will, which made my evening feel extra memorable. The casitas are beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, and the overall atmosphere is pure paradise. The in-room private plunge pool was gorgeous and so nice to relax in. If you’re considering Nayara Gardens, don’t hesitate. It's truly exceptional and I can't wait to return next year.

We stayed in a casita with a plunge pool, and it was amazing! The view of the volcano was breathtaking, the beds were super comfortable, and both the indoor and outdoor showers were fantastic. Service was top-notch with so many thoughtful touches. I spilled coffee on my shirt on the way there, and the staff kindly offered to launder it for free — such great hospitality! The pools were beautiful with comfy lounge chairs, and the gardens around the hot springs were lush and relaxing. The property is large, but we enjoyed walking everywhere (golf carts are available if you prefer). Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, and I loved being handed a fresh coconut each morning. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was also excellent. Overall, Nayara Gardens is pure magic — luxurious, welcoming, and surrounded by nature. Highly recommend!

The best hotel we’ve ever been in. The staff is so attentive to details, always smile and helpful. The food in the restaurants is amazing! A bit pricey though. The facilities are great, including the hot springs in different temperatures. We didn’t want to get out of the hotel!
