Nayara Gardens

I came to Nayara for my 80th birthday with many of my family members. It was a fun and joyous time. The hotel is gorgeous and the villas were spectacular.

We had a wonderful stay at Nayara Gardens as a family of four (kids 5 and 7) at Easter. Our Casita was incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for two single beds (converted sofas) for the kids. The decor struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and traditional charm, and everything was impeccably clean. We especially loved the thoughtful touches like the included minibar, nightly turndown chocolates, and the option of both an indoor and outdoor shower. It was easy to walk to Nayara Tented Camp (note that Nayara Springs is adults-only), which gave us access to even more dining options. Ayla was our favourite restaurant—great food and a lively, buzzy atmosphere. Despite coming fully prepared with every type of insect repellent, we were pleasantly surprised not to experience any mosquitos during our stay. The pool at Nayara Gardens is on the smaller side and feels very boutique, and we enjoyed being able to mix things up by also using the pool at Nayara Tented Camp. The views from our Casita were stunning—lush jungle all around, with lots of birds to spot. On clearer days, you’d also have a view of Arenal Volcano, which unfortunately stayed hidden behind the clouds for us. The hotel felt like a true luxury experience—everything was effortless and staff were warm and always happy to assist. There are beautiful paths throughout the property to enjoy the nature, but golf carts are always available and handy in the rain or up the steep hill to the Tented Camp. The hotel was mainly families during our visit and the Easter activities were fantastic. Our daughter very much enjoyed the gorgeous set up for face painting and crafts. We had an absolutely amazing experience during our four nights at Nayara Gardens. The entire staff was so warm and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The casita was five star luxury in the middle of the jungle. We loved our beautiful private jacuzzi on our deck. Claudia at Ayla provided the most amazing service and went above and beyond for our family. We went back to that same restaurant 5 times during our stay because we felt so welcomed, and loved the food and service. Thank you Claudia for making our trip unforgettable! Another highlight of our trip was the mixology class with Jose, he was the best bartender and taught us how to make the most innovative delicious drinks. He got the whole family involved which was awesome! In addition the laundry services and housekeeping staff were stellar and we recognize that they were working very hard in the background. They made our trip much more relaxing by not having to worry about those things especially with 2 kids in tow! We left Nayara full of wonderful memories and we are already dreaming of returning.

We travel often, and our stay at Nayara Gardens was truly exceptional—it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine smiles, and the front desk team was incredibly helpful in arranging our excursions, making everything seamless and stress-free. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped with every detail you could imagine—from umbrellas and a flashlight to snacks and chilled San Pellegrino. The outdoor space was especially stunning—peaceful, private, and surrounded by lush greenery. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the staff throughout the resort, including at the hot springs, were warm and attentive. The highlight of our stay was without a doubt the hot springs. They were absolutely magical—serene, quiet, and overlooking the breathtaking rainforest. At times, we even had them entirely to ourselves, which made the experience feel even more special. The grounds of the resort are simply magnificent, and the picturesque bridge leading to the adults-only section is truly something out of a dream. This was an unforgettable stay, and we cannot wait to return.
