Nayara Gardens

We first encountered Nayara Resort in 2013 - purely by accident via our travel agent. It was an experience that stayed with us long after we left. It was a promise to ourselves we would be back and so 13 years later, we spent entire week there. For most people travelling through Costa Rica, it is not uncommon to stay only a few nights in one location given Costa Rica is vast and with so many attractions such as Monteverde, Guanacaste, San Jose and the caribbean coast. However, we decided to spend one entire week at Nayara Gardens - which in the pst 13 years have now expanded to also include Nayara Springs and Nayara Tents (Adults Only resorts). Guests of any of the three resorts has access to all the facilities - our favorite are the 8 hot springs. It has to be experienced to be truly enjoyed. The entire team at Nayara are not only friendly, accommodating and efficient, but they are genuinely welcoming and so proud of where they work. This is not only going to be a great experience for you, but it will likely be a personal journey to be still and to be surrounded by nature as you have never experienced. Suffice it to say, it will not be another 13 years before we return.

This is our third trip. Each time it is like being in paradise. The staff and customer service are outstanding. There are a variety of restaurants and the grounds are beautiful. Highly recommend tour guide Ana for her knowledge of plants and animals. She was a fantastic guide for a frog tour and hanging bridges tour!

This is our third trip and we have never been disappointed. What makes this resort so special is the outstanding staff customer service where you are made to feel special and relaxed. Each member is pleasant and courteous and enthusiastic. Each restaurant is excellent. We ate breakfast at all 3 options. Each one terrific in their own way. Shout out to Ana our frog tour guide and Hanging Bridges tour guide. She is wo knowledgable and professional and fun!

We just returned from an amazing family trip to Nayara Gardens in Costa Rica and this resort is truly exceptional. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed with the Pura Vida spirit that defines Costa Rica! The villas are beautifully designed to blend naturally into the surrounding rainforest and each features a private plunge pool and some of the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced. We were thrilled to see sloths, toucans, and other wildlife on our daily walks and sometimes even from the villa balcony! We loved taking advantage of the complimentary yoga sessions, all held in open-air pavilions where the natural sounds of bird calls and howler monkeys become part of the practice. The spa treatments are equally exceptional and allow you to completely relax to the soothing feel and sounds of the rainforest. The quality and variety of dining options at Nayara are the best we have experienced at any other resort. We especially loved Ayla Restaurant where we enjoyed excellent mediterranean food accompanied by live music and views of Arenal Volcano. Our young adult children loved the sushi and noodle dishes at Asia Luna! Any food request or accommodation is met with genuine enthusiasm and a desire to please. The resort itself is the perfect size, with winding paths, beautiful outdoor pools and natural thermal spring pools to explore and enjoy. What truly makes Nayara unforgettable and the reason this was our third visit is the staff. Many are from the local town of La Fortuna and they bring warmth, pride, and genuine friendliness to everything they do. Their enthusiasm to share Costa Rican culture and commitment to make every guest feel special and cared for elevates Nayara to the top of its class. We recommend Nayara to all of our friends and family knowing that they will have the trip of a lifetime!

Every detail of the experience here was incredible, from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The whole resort is alive with the jungle and you can experience it all. The place is huge and never once felt crowded. We often had pools or bars to ourselves and felt very private and taken care of. The staff were helpful and delightful to talk to. They’ll chauffeur you around the grounds in a golf cart or help point out when they’ve spotted a sloth. I can’t say enough good things about Nayara. Truly one of the most hospitable resort experiences we’ve ever had. Go stay here. You won’t regret it.
