The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal

This incredible property has something for everyone! While I visited on a girls’ trip, it would also be perfect for a family getaway. The list of activities is endless — spa massages were phenomenal! The spa has relaxation room overlooking the volcano so you sit and drink the best tea you’ve ever had after your treatment. We also did horseback riding, river tubing and the hot springs. And I must mention the food and service — top notch whether you’re eating poolside or at the fine dining restaurant (great wine list there btw) . Accommodations vary to fit anyone’s needs. They offer standard rooms which are gigantic compared to most hotel rooms. There are also villas available for large families that want to stay together. If I could give it 10 stars, I would!

We had an amazing stay Springs Resort. The Resort is beautiful and very relaxing. We ate at most of the restaurants and loved the food at all of them except Ginger Sushi which was just okay. The service and hospitality were outstanding! Esteban was a ray of sunshine and made us feel welcome every time we saw him.

WOW. This hotel was one of the best experience I've had in my entire life. I must note that I am a grown adult and went on this vacation with my parents and sister. It was a family of four adults and we had the TIME of our lives. The hotel was stunning. There were a million activities you could do at all times. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property itself was the most beautiful thing we have ever experienced, from the waterfalls, to the hot springs, to the entire rio club area which included a lake, tubing, horse back riding, and an actual zoo. The property was massive and stunning. The next best part of this experience was the SERVICE. Every single employee was polite, helpful, professional, and made you feel like royalty. The staff in every restaurant, by the pool, and especially the spa, gave 10/10 service and truly provided us with anything we needed, whenever we needed it. The ladies at the spa, Gabriella, Amanda, and Rachel were fantastic. We went to the spa every single day and it was truly a magical experience. They made us, again, feel like royalty. They were HAPPY to help. Every single staff member wanted us to genuinely enjoy our time and were happy to help. Where I'm from, service is stuffy and fake. Not here. Every single person at this hotel wanted you to have an amazing experience. Noise level was perfect, the hotel was filled with families both adults and kids, but it was never too loud. You mostly just heard the sounds of the jungle! The location was FANTASTIC because it was in the middle of the jungle! As you walked around the property, you would see sloths! It was magnificent. The hotel was also close to coffee shops and the excursions. Zip lining, hanging bridges, and the La Fortuna waterfalls were less than 30 mins away from the hotel. Shout out to Danya who helped us book every single excursion! Absolutely fantastic 10/10 experience and everybody going to La Fortuna should stay here. You did not need to leave the property for hot springs -- it was all right there at your finger tips! Book it, do it!!

Great resort with a lot of beautiful amenities for guests. Multiple pools to enjoy and fun adventures to explore.

We had a truly exceptional time at The Springs Resort and we are already thinking about when we can go back. Where to begin... as others have mentioned, the staff was consistently exceptional, the grounds are beautiful, the food was great, and the pools were one of a kind. The free breakfast was especially notable - we started every morning with a really nice breakfast of fruit, juices, coffee, an omelette station (the omelette station guy whose name I cannot recall was a real hero). Special shout out to Tony and Byron - they went out of their way to learn our names and made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. We were with my two in-laws who were traveling to Costa Rica for the first time. Tony and Byron made them feel at home. The rooms were spacious and clean. The cleaning staff was ever-present, making sure turn down service was on time and they left fun animals made out of towels for the kids. Cannot say enough good things about our trip and, again, we can't wait to go back.
