The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal

The hotel staff are truley wonderful and go out their way to make you comfortbale so that cannot be faulted, also the rooms are large and clean and very well maintained - you wont actually have a bad stay if you stay at this hotel and its perfectly pleasent. The volacano hike, the tour company used is lovely and the again very helpful, but its a walk near the volcano and honestly the view from the hotel is much better. the reason the hotel only gets three stars instead of 5, is because the hotel itself feels a little man made and artifcal around such beautiful natural surroundings. The hot springs etc - this takes away that feel of luxury and almost makes it feel a little tacky - and probably not worth the premium price.

Our experience at The Springs Resort & Spa exceeded every expectation. The property offers a perfect balance of luxury, comfort, adventure, and nature, making it one of the most impressive destinations we have visited in Costa Rica. From the very first moment, Jose, Ely, and Bayron made us feel welcomed and valued thanks to their attention to detail and outstanding professionalism. The entire resort is beautifully designed, with spectacular thermal pools, peaceful spa areas, excellent restaurants, and breathtaking panoramic views of the rainforest and volcano surroundings. Every corner of the property feels exclusive and thoughtfully designed. One thing that truly stood out was how immaculate the gardens, tropical plants, and green areas are throughout the resort. Considering how massive the property is, the maintenance team deserves special recognition for keeping everything in outstanding condition every single day. The perfectly maintained landscapes create a natural paradise that attracts an incredible variety of birds and wildlife, making the experience feel even more magical and connected to nature. The kids absolutely loved the game room — they had so much fun playing ping pong, video games, puzzles, and enjoying the free popcorn. Special thanks to Yetty Rodriguez and Fabiola, who did an amazing job making everyone feel welcome. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling with both kids and adults. The hiking trails around the resort are beautiful and relaxing, and the gym and entertainment areas offer something for everyone. Every meal we had was excellent, with fresh ingredients and high-quality presentation that elevated the entire experience. Another unforgettable part of the trip was visiting Club Río, located below the resort and accessible by the internal shuttle through the rainforest. The ride itself is beautiful and gives guests an even deeper appreciation for the surrounding jungle. The activities at Club Río were exceptional. The horseback riding was peaceful and scenic, the wildlife sanctuary was very interesting, and the river tubing adventure was one of the highlights of our trip. Huge thanks to the guides Sivianny , Gerald, and Erick for their professionalism, positive energy, and commitment to safety throughout the experience. We also want to recognize Jefry Urbina, the resort photographer, for capturing such incredible memories during the tubing adventure. His friendly personality and charisma made the entire experience feel natural and enjoyable, and the photo presentation afterward with upbeat dance music created a very special ending to an already unforgettable day for our family. This resort truly represents the beauty and hospitality of Costa Rica. Perfect for couples, families, or anyone looking for a luxurious experience surrounded by adventure and nature. We would absolutely return again.

This was an incredible part of our honeymoon! this is one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever been to and was romantic and perfect! the service is incredible, and every person we interacted created a sense of comfort and joy to our experience. the food, the room, and the springs were all amazing! we thoroughly enjoyed the springs at club rio, the springs at the resort itself, and the views of arenal volcano. and the food here is amazing! the breakfast buffet is wonderful, with local cuisine as well as fresh fruits, omelet bar, and fantastic pastries! we had dinner as tres cascadas which was one of our favorite meals, as well as las ventanas which was also delightful. We can't wait to return!

My family had the best experience at The Springs Resort! All of the staff were so welcoming and kind. I’d like to especially mention Joe, Bayron, and Jefry. They were very attentive and helpful to with my handicap accessible needs. The food was incredible!
