Excellent stay in the heart of La Jolla. Great food in the hotel, loved the decor and the amenities. Appreciate the complimentary snacks and water in the room.

BEST STAY!
We Stayed here 40 years ago on our wedding night. To return and be treated so well by the entire staff, Kim Avant was truly the best, and the staff was so accommodating. JR at the lobby was great the entire stay! Highly recommend, fantastic location and view in superb restaurant on site!

5 guests in 2 beds!
We booked a room for five people, but when we arrived, there were only two queen-size beds. The hotel provided us with a rollaway bed, but it was so uncomfortable that we were unable to sleep on it. As a result, three of us had to sleep in one of the queen-size beds. This was extremely uncomfortable and not what we expected when we booked a room for five people.

GCH Gives 5-star service, stay
I have stayed at the Grande Colonial since around 1999 -- nearly every summer season. I am a loyal guest so my review is bias. From the valets to the front desk team to housekeeping to maintenance, GCH has the BEST crew I have ever seen. And, I am a 5-star hotel snob. I was just at the Four Seasons in Dubai and the GCH gives the same 5-star service and vibe. I have my favorite rooms -- the ocean view suite in Colonial Suites, the Garden Suite (139), any room in the Little House by the Sea. The location is just a 2-minute walk to the Seals which makes late nights eating dinner on the cliffs so easy. I love waking up at 5:30 and being the first to greet the sun, the ocean and the seals. GCH will not disappoint. For a brand to be THIS consistent... why would I (or you) stay any where else?

Wonderful stay, very happy
What a wonderful hotel right in the center of La Jolla. I got a 4 nights for 3 deal and an ocean view that was beautiful. Rooms were quiet, staff very friendly, and we had a great stay. And my son liked it because we could stream anything! I wholeheartedly recommend it and I hope to come back one day. San Diego and La Jolla will capture your heart.
