Such an incredible place. It is classic La Jolla at its finest. The service is outstanding and even the worker with towels going up the elevator says hello and wished me a great day as he got off the elevator. Everything from the front desk, conceirge, valet, restaurant staff, pool bar and room service was impeccable. I splurged staying here as this wouldn't be something I could do on a regular basis but if you can treat yourself for a couple of nights, you will not regret the splurge. Separate note, the hotel is historic and has that old school vintage authentic feel and is so well maintained. They didn't miss a second of detail anywhere. I hope I get to stay here again. The food was amazing. And you must check out their bar. Such a special experience in so many ways and I was traveling solo. The friendliness of the waitstaff, Andrew, specifically was exceptional and first class. Thank you so much La Valencia. Picture of my pancakes below. I never take pictures of food. It was so beautiful, I started at for 5 minutes before I took a bite and it tasted as good as it looks. :)))))))) Ohhh to top it off, I left my work binder there and they texted me the same day to let me know and overnighted it to me the next day. Wow, blown away at every angle. They covered it! Forgot to mention it is the heart of La Jolla, on the ocean and in the center of the village. Best location ever. Best hotel experience I ever had and I have stayed at Four Seasons.

I stayed at the La Valencia for my organizations annual conference. The hotel is centrally located in La Jolla near the beach and the downtown area. The hotel is beautifully appointed and not overly modern. My room had a great view of the ocean and very clean. In term of food, we had several meals at the hotel and the food was well prepared and enjoyable. For the business meetings, the meeting rooms were spacious and the technology was professional. My only issue was the hotel receptionist at check-in who was not warm or appeared engaged. I understand that we all have bad days, but the disinterest was unprofessional. I would highly recommend the hotel for a vacation or business meeting

Quaint property with beautiful views and Hotel California aged furnishings and spanish mediterranean architecture. Probably the only in town option of it's kind in the La Jolla area. You are paying a huge premium for the location and view. At $600-800/night plus junk fees and taxes, it's a poor value compared to equivalent priced hotels but options in the immediate La Jolla area are very limited to so they command the price.

Thank you for sharing your special piece of paradise with us. La Valencia is a luxury property with soul. Each and every element of our stay was spectacular. The warm welcome started at the front door and continued with each and every encounter we had with the staff who exceeded our expectations, each and every time. The stunning grounds and prime La Jolla location, and scrumptious food made it a perfect place to plan, stay and celebrate the love that brought us there. If you are looking for the perfect place to start your life together or simply want to wrap yourself in luxury, run don’t walk to La Valencia. You will be happy that you did.

I cannot say enough about La Valencia, Bobby, or Dani. La Valencia, the pink lady, is known to be one of the best most gorgeous hotels in all of San Diego, and for good reason. Not only is the property stunning (and I have stayed at my fair share of 5 star hotels around the world), but the service is impeccable too. I hosted my wedding here this month, and every part from the site visit, to the menu tasting, to the room blocks, to the incredible service at the pool (Mike is the absolute best and took care of everything we needed!), was perfect from start to finish. My room was ready at 9AM the morning of my rehersal, well before my 4PM checkin, and all my bags were brought to my room immediately. I received nothing but compliments from 90+ guests, and it is a true testament to the hotel, to Bobby, Dani, Mike, and every other single staff member of this hotel. I went into two separate rooms and both were clean and well-maintained. Quiet hours in La Jolla and at the hotel start at 10PM, so late night noise is not an issue. The hotel is walking distance to a number of restaurants and bars, and lots of great shops. The food here is amazing as well-- a true full-service experience. We are already talking about having a yearly vacation here to celebrate our anniversary, and I cannot wait to go back.

Just had a great vacation! Loved La Valencia Hotel...so nostalgic and very well done! Our room was in the West Wing with two queen beds, down pillows and crisp hi thread count sheets; it was a completely refurbished room that still maintained it's history. The staff, from the moment we pulled up throughout the very end of our stay, was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The grounds were impeccable and in a perfect location...on one side is the ocean and the other the village. We would definitely stay there again!
