About the Hotel

When you are looking for an otherworldly escape, but are limited to trips not requiring miles of over-ocean travel, let the brand new Pantai Inn welcome you to a different side of San Diego. Modeled and styled completely to emulate a Balinese resort - from its Indonesian décor and tranquil guest rooms, to the personalized service fit for royalty - this boutique getaway is genuinely distinctive. The inn's fully restored bungalows, townhouses, and cottages are perched along the northern coast of San Diego, in the charming town of La Jolla, where the best of Southern California is within easy reach. The inn overlooks the glittering Pacific, so settle in to your spacious suite for a kicked back California experience. Separate dining areas and living rooms provide ample room to relax, and full kitchens offer convenience for stays short or long. Island essence will definitely find you in the Balinese tiled bathrooms, where hand-hammered copper sinks and soothing rain showers turn ordinary to exceptional. With these thoughtful details and more, you will find Pantai Inn to be wellworthy of its harmonious heralding.

Breathtaking ocean views make lasting LaJolla memories!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Absolutely loved our stay here! Nothing can beat the location with beautiful ocean views from the room balcony. Plenty of space in the room. Loved the free waters and sodas. The outdoor common areas were so lovely- especially the rooftop terrace at night with the firepit going! All staff members were kind and helpful!

The location is amazing overlooking the Pacific Ocean, but the true highlight is the kindness of the staff. The staff has exceeded expectations and truly enhanced our family trip.

Miranda and Dorey were excellent hosts for breakfast. The food was excellent. They went about and beyond to make our experience special. Full breakfast buffet. Dorey brought me and my husband a special treat from the kitchen of freshly baked peanut butter cookies. The were delicious. We recommend this nice, quiet Inn to anyone. The view is amazing. The service 5 star and clean. Jeff and Angie

“We stayed in room 208 for five nights. A beautiful spot looking across Coast Blvd to the Pacific. Private deck, full kitchen and nice small bedroom. The giant TV was a nice bonus for March Madness. Beautiful courtyard and grounds. Very kind staff. Always coffee and tea in the lobby. Fresh fruits, cereal and bagels for breakfast. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. There was a mix-up upon check in - we booked full ocean view suite thru LuxuryLink and we were originally shown to a room with no view. Quickly remedied, but since there is only one room like 208 be sure you've confirmed it if that's the room you desire. This is called a luxury property by some - it's not actually luxury if you're thinking Waldorf or Leading Hotels of the World. But it is wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. The adornments in suite weren't my taste (fake flowers, bamboo furniture) but that's v. subjective. Would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway."
