Reviews for Pantai Inn

Fantastic!

The Pantai was fabulous! My family spent 2 nights for the La Jolla swim. The staff was exceptional and helped us with everything we needed. Dory made a great breakfast with so many options and was so nice. We had a great time! We want to do it again next year! Fyi: no USB outlets so bring your wall adapter. Also, the kichette didn't have much to cook with, but we asked for a pan and they delivered! Thanks to all the staff!

Perfect stay for a family getaway!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a wonderful stay at Pantai Inn and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting La Jolla. The location is truly unbeatable — just a short walk to a variety of attractions, restaurants, and shops. Best of all, you're steps away from the ocean with a perfect view of the sunset each evening. Our room was incredibly spacious, more like a full apartment than a hotel room. With a full kitchen, dining area, and living room, it was perfect for our family of four. The staff was exceptional. A special shoutout to Baca, who went above and beyond to make us — especially our son — feel right at home. He was kind, funny, and incredibly attentive. He made sure my son got an umbrella straw with his apple juice every morning. We also appreciated the little extras, like the complimentary breakfast with a variety of options to choose from, and the fridge in the lobby stocked with free waters and sodas. If we had to point out one downside, it would be that the property could use a few updates. Some elements feel a bit dated, but honestly, the charm, service, and location more than make up for it. Overall, Pantai Inn was a fantastic choice for our family getaway. We'd gladly stay here again!

A gem on the beach!

We stayed for 4 nights at Pantai for a family wedding in town. The 3 bedroom suite worked out amazing for our crew. The beds were great and the location couldn’t be better. We could walk everywhere and on hot days we appreciated the golf cart that they have that they could run us up the hill to dinner and the wedding. The thing that makes this place special is the staff. Edwin the GM and the bartender/hospitality worker Baca were incredible. He would make special drinks for our family and whipped up blended drinks for my kiddo. Just such a wonderful trip, thank you to the whole staff!

Amazing hidden gem

Amazing hidden gem. We are so happy we found this place. It’s in the heard of La Jolla Cove and walking distance to many nice places and the trails along the shore. But what really makes this place special is the kind staff who jump to help you if they notice any sort of need. Baca serves as bellman, bartender and anything else he sees a need to do. He is a super nice gentleman. My husband is needing knee surgery so can’t carry our bags and as soon as he saw me rolling those bags and the need for help he jumped in and did it. Also Edwin at the front desk was kind and prompt at helping us check out and kindly answered all of our questions. The breakfast with a sea view was also fabulous. We will return here when we can now that we know about this place.

Amazing

Absolutely amazing, booked here for our last 3 nights in America, had a fantastic suite with a balcony looking directly out to the ocean. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Every staff member very friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast and love the free soda and cookies in the lobby. Great rooftop area and an easy walk to all the restaurants and shops. You can see the sea lions/seals only a 5 minute walk away. Loved staying here and would love to come back.

“We stayed in room 208 for five nights. A beautiful spot looking across Coast Blvd to the Pacific. Private deck, full kitchen and nice small bedroom. The giant TV was a nice bonus for March Madness. Beautiful courtyard and grounds. Very kind staff. Always coffee and tea in the lobby. Fresh fruits, cereal and bagels for breakfast. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. There was a mix-up upon check in - we booked full ocean view suite thru LuxuryLink and we were originally shown to a room with no view. Quickly remedied, but since there is only one room like 208 be sure you've confirmed it if that's the room you desire. This is called a luxury property by some - it's not actually luxury if you're thinking Waldorf or Leading Hotels of the World. But it is wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. The adornments in suite weren't my taste (fake flowers, bamboo furniture) but that's v. subjective. Would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway."
