Wow, what a spectacular resort! This was our second time at Secrets/La Romana within the last year. We’ve traveled throughout the Caribbean and Mexico and this has been our favorite resort! The resort has “5 Star” written all over it due to the accommodations, restaurants, grounds, atmosphere, things to do, and especially the employees. The Dominican people here are a gift, and we may go back a third time later on due to their warm and hospitable personality!

Wonderful expereinace, Drinks little watered down, food better than expected, great entertainment but a little late for younger kids, 9-9:30 start times are tough for 6 and under year olds, Bees everywehre were kind of annoying, beach was clear hardly any sea weed, not swimming after 7:00 was a bummer, would go again and recommended.

We recently stayed at Dreams La Romana and left feeling disappointed by an experience that simply didn't match the expectations of a resort in this category. To start with the positives, the resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained, the beach is enjoyable, and we appreciated several World of Hyatt benefits, including expedited check-in, complimentary bottled water, waived resort fees, and club access. Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by consistently poor service throughout our stay. The biggest issue was the lack of attentive customer service. It often felt as though guests were an inconvenience rather than the focus of the resort. Whether requesting assistance, waiting for drinks, or trying to get the attention of staff, service was routinely slow and required multiple follow-ups. Very few employees were proactive, and the level of hospitality fell well below what we have experienced at comparable all-inclusive resorts. Dining was another major disappointment. We primarily ate at the specialty restaurants, where meals frequently took an exceptionally long time to arrive. On several occasions, the food was served only warm instead of hot, making it seem as though it had been sitting before being delivered to the table. Beverage service was equally inconsistent, with long waits for drinks and limited follow-up from servers during meals. These issues weren't isolated incidents—they occurred repeatedly throughout our stay, making it difficult to overlook them as simply "an off day." A luxury all-inclusive resort should consistently deliver attentive service, timely dining, and a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Dreams La Romana has an excellent location and beautiful facilities, but great buildings and scenery alone cannot make up for poor hospitality. We left feeling that the resort has tremendous potential, but significant improvements in staff training, service consistency, and restaurant operations are needed before it can truly deliver the experience its reputation and price point promise. Based on our experience, we would not return at this time, and we hope management takes guest feedback seriously to improve what could otherwise be a wonderful destination.

The beach was beautiful. The rooms and the resort was super clean. All the workers were great! The food was delicious and the resort was super clean. We received exceptional service everywhere we went. Bienvenido was amazing at the buffet. Emilia, Dominica , Rosaini and Kianlet at the pool bar were great! Cesar by the beach was awesome. Reynaldo cook at the buffet made great food and at the beach grill I had the best Paella and tacos. Nayeli at the Prefer club. Jose made the best coffee in the Prefer Club. And Nicole's chocolate Martini were incredible.
