Reviews for Six Senses Laamu

Six Senses Laamu experience in February 2026

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Overall experience is very good. Location is very nice, atmosphere very friendly. Cleanliness excellent, rooms and room service is perfect. The whole island is very quiet, no noice disturbance, Restaurant Leaf is outstanding, Sip Sip restaurant very good for snack during a day. Breakfasts in restaurant Longitude are excellent, however dinners need certain improvements, quality of food is much lower than in a-m restaurants. Sea excursion and snorkeling via fast boat absolutely superb & fantastic. Service of butler also outstanding. House reef compared with other destination visited in Maldives is valued as average. Ratio value/price is much more on the side of price.

Another trip to paradise!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Our third visit to this paradise island and, if possible, we love it even more. This is such a beautiful place - not just the island and its structures, but the staff who welcome you and make you feel at home throughout your stay. You are appointed a GEM on arrival - ours was Sobah, which we were absolutely thrilled about as we have had him for our previous stays. It’s like seeing an old friend and the children adore him! We feel like nothing is too much to ask and his patience and kindness are incredible. He is an absolute credit to the hotel. He makes sure we have everything we need and is very sensitive to our needs. This is a very family friendly place, with a wonderful kids club and baby sitting service, and brilliant food - the team will cater to your children’s needs very easily and they are very kind to the kids. The free ice cream is very hard to resist and the kids love it! We love the food here and chose to eat at the Leaf restaurant (a magical treetop offering) quite a few nights for this stay but the food at all of the restaurants is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful flavours, very fresh and presented wonderfully. It’s hard not to eat too much!! The sea life here is the best we have had in the Maldives. It’s easy to see turtles, sharks, rays and fabulous fish. The house reef is incredible and there is an amazing effort to preserve the environment (the Shell houses an absolutely brilliant marine biology unit that you can see and learn from).

An Unforgettable Six Senses Laamu Journey in the Maldives

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed in an overwater villa at Six Senses Laamu. It didn’t rain during our stay, the weather was perfect, and we felt incredibly relaxed. Our villa host Viktoria was especially wonderful—she was responsive to everything, never kept us waiting, and was very thoughtful. She made our holiday truly unforgettable. We will definitely recommend it to our family and friends, and we will choose Six Senses Laamu again if we get the chance.

A slice of paradise in the Maldives

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We just got back from a week of pure bliss at Six Senses Laamu. From the warm 'meet and greet' at the airport to our final goodbyes, everything was the perfect mix of understated luxury and genuine heart. The Personal Touches The team there truly goes above and beyond to make you feel special. We loved the little personal touches, like our wooden bike labels, the handy shoe and wet clothes bags, and sipping sunset drinks with the team while dressed in traditional sarongs. Every single person we met was so welcoming and kind. The Villa & Marine Life Our Ocean Villa was spacious, filled with natural light, and packed with everything we needed. The best part? Being able to go straight into the water from our own terrace! We saw turtles and eagle rays daily, and even spotted dolphins while having breakfast! Dining & Activities We did a few activities while there. Visit the SHELL centre to learn about underwater intiatives (coral restoration, Manta Trust and the Olive Ridley Projec); Sustainability tour (a behind the scenes to the resort's operations); Sunset dolphin cruise; private island drop off; and turtle snorkle safari. The food was delicious. Leaf was easily on par with a Michelin-star restaurant, and we had a blast at Kaji—the chef there is a total superstar and made the night so much fun! We also loved the beach lobster BBQ and the fresh sushi at Zen. And of course, we have to mention the free ice cream! With over 40 heavenly flavours (including sorbets and vegan options) and yummy candied nut toppings, it was our favourite daily ritual. Our GEM A massive shoutout to our GEM, Janko, who was a complete legend (a true gem!). He handled our last-minute changes with ease and made sure we had every little comfort, from extra yoga mats to our favourite pillows and even custom tweaks to our picnic basket. Six Senses Laamu is truly a slice of heaven on earth. It’s the ultimate place to unwind, recharge, and just be.
