We were very pleased with Casa Laguna in all respects. Beautiful setting, and very friendly staff. Super location as well.

Casa Laguna is a wonderful retreat. It was actually recommended by ChatGPT and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was accommodating and the environment was so relaxing! We had an incredible view of the Pacific Coast Highway and Pacific Ocean beyond that. The spa was wonderful. We had a couples massage while we stayed. It was so relaxing. The staff was professional and we felt so relaxed when we had a private couples soak overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Pros: - beautiful hotel. It is a truly boutique hotel - Cody (I think that was his name) was great! - tasty food menu that you can can choose from for room service - right next to virgin beach and other wonderful beaches Cons: - this hotel is right to PCH, so be prepared for it being very loud! The cars drive super fast and opening the window does not create a peaceful atmosphere - breakfast options are very limited. I do not think they have a cook in the kitchen - walking around in the neighborhood feels weird. Side alleys (home owners) don’t want you to be walking around for security reasons but it does create a very snobby atmosphere

This place is a gem! We loved everything. The pool is heated nicely and has great vibes with cool music and seating (champagne too!). My room was small but very comfortable in the bed was amazing! Very nice ocean views although you get some noise from PCH. We absolutely loved the breakfast with coffee and mimosas, and the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! And we enjoyed the sauna at the end of our day. Every staff person we encountered was very nice and accommodating. We would definitely return and have been telling our friends about it. Such a serene and dreamy getaway without the kids, even for one night! The only thing missing to seal the deal is a hot tub!

Charming property but I must have visited during an off cycle. The rave reviews I read prior to booking did not match up with my experience. I was largely ignored upon arrival. The employees were busy tending to the property but seemed disinterested in me as a guest. I waited until almost 5 for my room to be ready although I noted that the majority of the hotel was actually empty. I was not given any information about the property so I felt a bit lost. There was never anyone at the front desk. I had to go searching to complain about waiting all day for my room and a young man said I should have called. I found that strange as I had been sitting in the lobby for most of the day. I managed to find the water but no one asked about refreshments. If they sold food or drink I couldn’t tell how you might go about ordering. Breakfast is included and in morning hours they have a small patio with coffee and orange juice which was nice. They have a menu you can order from with limited breakfast options. The ocean views are ok but not clearly visible. The hotel is filled with steps and uneven terrain so not easy to walk around. The decor is eclectic with plenty of seating options on different levels. I did not use the pool but it looked fine and the lounges were comfortable. I wouldn’t stay here if proximity to the beach is your objective. The walk to the beach is long and I wouldn’t want to lug a beach chair to enjoy it although I think those are provided by the hotel. There was one restaurant within walking distance but it was closed while I was there. I didn’t have a car so I felt isolated with limited options available. The trolley was not easy to use and there were long waits to use ride share. The hotel is situated in a residential area and it was a short drive to the downtown area for shops and restaurants but too far to walk. I would definitely suggest a car as it would make it easier to explore the area. Also, parking is included in the “resort” fee which would make that charge reasonable. Pros: Decor, high quality linens, black out window treatments, nice outdoor patios for relaxing, breakfast Cons: Lack of service, limited food and beverage options, poor electrical outlets, door locks not functioning properly, very small rooms, noise issues, too many stairs
