My wife, Holly, and I drove nearly two hours from San Diego to have lunch at Mosaic after calling ahead and being told that reservations weren’t necessary and that we could be seated upon arrival. When we got there, we were incredibly disappointed to learn that the restaurant had been bought out for a private event and that we wouldn’t be able to dine there. After making that drive, it honestly felt heartbreaking, and we were ready to turn around and leave. That’s when Ryan completely changed our experience. From the moment he saw how disappointed we were, he treated us with genuine kindness, empathy, and professionalism. He never made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Instead, he kept looking for solutions. Even after the first few attempts didn’t work, he didn’t give up. He continued talking with the team and did everything he could to find a way to accommodate us. Then Hannah stepped in and showed the same incredible level of hospitality. She found a way to seat us at a beautiful private table by the pool, and Ryan personally helped set everything up, including positioning the umbrella to make sure we were comfortable. What could have been one of the most disappointing experiences of our trip became one of the most memorable lunches we’ve ever had. That transformation happened because two employees genuinely cared. Ryan demonstrated what true hospitality looks like. His compassion, persistence, and desire to make things right are exactly what every luxury resort should strive for. Hannah deserves just as much recognition for stepping in with kindness and helping create such a wonderful experience. Please recognize both Ryan and Hannah for going far beyond what anyone would have expected. They didn’t just find us a table. They turned a very disappointing afternoon into a memory that my wife and I will always remember. Employees like them are the reason people return to the Montage. My boyfriend and I drove more than two hours to enjoy lunch at Mosaic at the Montage Laguna Beach, and when we arrived, we were disappointed to learn that the restaurant had been bought out for a private event and that we would not be able to be seated. As we were speaking with the manager and trying to see if there was any way we could stay for a quick lunch, Hannah overheard our situation. Without hesitation, she graciously offered to take on another table and make accommodations for us. The team set up a beautiful table outside near the pool, and what could have been a very disappointing experience quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. Hannah was incredibly kind, attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. Her exceptional service transformed our day, and we ended up enjoying one of the best lunches we’ve had, with stunning views and a truly memorable experience. Hannah is a wonderful example of outstanding hospitality. We are so grateful for her kindness and willingness to help, and she turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a perfect afternoon. Thank you, Hannah, for making our visit so special! Great family place! Easy pool and beach access. Staff is stellar! Super accommodating and welcomes you with stuffies for the kids! Smore's at sunset! The pool options are great! Adults only as well as family/kids pool and hot tub. Gorgeous views. Location of the hotel is hard to beat. Healthy dining options, in room dining. 10/10 honestly.
