The best hotel in CA!
Truly one of the most magical places! We are convinced that the staff is not allowed to say “no” to any request. Each person is so kind and gracious. Especially Shanny! This is a very special place for me and my family, and after the remodel it’s better than ever. The food is fabulous, the property and views breathtaking. It feels like a home away from home, by far the best places to stay if you are wanting escape on the southern ca coast! We live 20 minutes away but still choose here time and time again

Exceptional Stay!
The renovations to the hotel are literally perfect! They kept the boutique vibe of the hotel while the room renovations are everything you want and more! Special shout out to Shanney who made this trip so perfect for our family! Her attention to detail is exquisite and she went out of her way to make us feel special! Surf and Sand is fortunate to have an employee who takes great care of her guests and provides exceptional customer service! Can’t wait to come back!

Romantic oceanfront resort
Surf & Sand resort is definitely our new favorite getaway beach resort. Majority of the rooms are literally oceanfront. You can hear the waves soothing sound the entire time. The view Of the ocean and all the sea creatures are spectacular. We have found that the service is exemplary as well. Our room is gorgeous. They have have recently finished a major remodel, so everything is super stylish and high-tech. We had dinner and lunch at their restaurant. Our dinner waiter was Alfredo and our lunch waitress was Deanna. The service was exemplary, and the food was incredible. Both in taste and presentation. Although the prices are on the higher end, the Incredible view of the room , the very beautiful room itself, and the incredibly service oriented staff make the price look like a bargain.

Most beautiful and friendly place
My daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable, and the restaurant food was absolutely delicious. We definitely plan on returning to dine and stay again. Underwhelming
Not even close to a 5 star. Service was sub-par. Onsite dining (Splash) missed the mark in all regards. Worst of all, see the photo of the King Suite view that was $1600/night. Will not be going back.

We spent 5 luxurious nights at the Surf & Sand hotel in Laguna Beach, CA, the week of August 14th, 2004. Upon arrival at our oceanfront room, we received chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. A full breakfast in Splashes restaurant included anything we wanted on the menu each day. We had a wonderful dinner including a bottle of wine, and even the hotel taxes and parking each day was included. It was a really great vacation.

My husband, daughter and I spent a luxurious four days in August at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, CA. This was the perfect place to recuperate after dropping my youngest off for his freshman year at USC! Thank you.
