Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with warm Hawaiian hospitality and seamless service. The check-in process was easy, and our ocean-view room offered a stunning panorama of the Pacific—perfect for watching the sunset or even spotting a few whales in the distance. Dining was another highlight. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh, and the resort’s restaurants offered delicious, locally inspired dishes. We especially enjoyed the luau on the property—it felt authentic and vibrant, with amazing food, music and entertainment.

Beautiful property with accommodating and friendly staff. Unfortunately we were there during the heavy rains but staff tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

We are returning guests. We had a great experience last year and returned again this year. What a difference a year makes. Our biggest issue is with the food on the property. If you get a package through Costco or Travelocity where breakfast is included, you are going to be pissed. They’ve literally cut the breakfast buffet in half, so the wait times are ridiculous. And on top of that they run out of food and don’t replace it. The breakfast buffet is extremely poorly managed, and at $40 per person I’d expect more. If you are gluten free, you are on your own. The food doesn’t get refilled and you are left picking at pieces of bread if you’re lucky. The service is substandard and the food manger should be addressed. We were also without water for about 10 hours one day. Apparently there was a water main break. People were literally pooping in the ocean. I was told that this also happened a few months earlier and that water to the hotel was out for two days. What a joke. There is zero beach at the hotel due to erosion and you can’t access it without walking 1/2 mile down the path. Definitely not worth it. Much better places for the money. Some people may disagree but when you pay for 5 star, you expect 5 star. This is 3 star and struggling. It’s really sad because a year ago things were wonderful. Like I said, what a difference a year makes.

Clean and modern rooms with great view. Excellent hotel. Only issue was beach acess which was accesible with a little walk.
