Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a five-star deluxe hotel built in Liberty style in 1910. With 100 years of history, it represents much more than a prestigious hotel: it embodies the accommodation art according to the taste and the most authentic Italian tradition. The careful details, the finishing touches, the numerous antique objects, the art pieces, make this iconic Grand Hotel on Lake Como an extraordinary fascinating place, a proper landmark of well living. With its 100 windows overlooking either the blue waters of the lake or the flowering greenery of the garden, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo boasts absolutely the best views on lake Como, all over Bellagio, where the two arms of water meet. The hotel offers 75 elegant rooms and 15 splendid Suites including 8 brand new hyper exclusive Rooftop Suites.

This is a fabulous hotel with incredibly manicured grounds, impeccable service, beautifully decorated interior along with delicious restaurants. The atmosphere is elegant chic and a pure delight to enjoy a cocktail at their outside bar overlooking the Lake Como. Just as enjoyable is their pool restaurant T pizza which is set amongst the picturesque gardens with the mountains in the background. The pizza is also amazing. The entire hotel is breathtaking and I highly recommend staying here whenever in Lake Como area. The staff go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The hotel is only 1 hr 15 min drive from Milan and you can hop on the nearby ferry to go to Varenna, Bellagio and other stops . If your looking for the most luxurious stay in Lake Como, Grand Hotel Tremezzo checks all the boxes.

This hotel is stunning . Everyone you stand or sit you are looking at something beautiful. The decor , the design , the attention to detail is amazing . The rooms are beautiful, the pool at the back is calm and the sunbeds secluded . The breakfast is probably the best choice I have seen and it’s delicious. The floating pool at the front is great fun and it’s fabulous to be on the lake ! Lovely dinners each evening . The spa is fantastic, had a great signature treatment . And the infinity pool is wonderful . We hired a boat for a 3 hour trip & it was a great experience , our pilot had so much knowledge of the points of interest . Great gym also . Just a fantastic stay - will be back for sure

Though the hotel was beautiful and reminiscent of past grand years, we were disappointed with the attitude of the staff. Upon our arrival we were given a tour of the hotel, the woman was pleasant so we asked for a dinner reservation. The concierge made several suggestions, picking one, we were told only 7:30 pm was available. We said fine. After walking there in the rain, the restaurant told us they were never called and couldn't accommodate us. Upon returning to the hotel, they appeared indifferent and said we should have received a confirmation sheet if it was made. We expressed confusion since we were standing right there and they asked about the time. We thought that was our confirmation. They offered to sit us in their fine dining restaurant. We agreed and again had to wait quite awhile to be attended to. When we did order, I received a piece of Branzino that was 2 inches wide and 3 inches long on a piece of lettuce. It looked and tasted very unappealing. (I wish I had taken a picture to prove my point!) Again we were disappointed (and paid $62 Euros for it). The Sommelier did come over to us and made a point to offer a higher price wine than what my husband ordered. Maybe he was trying to be helpful, but frankly after the night we had, he just sounded belittling and arrogant. The reason I am giving 2 stars versus 0, is possibly the rain and clouds of the 2 nights we were there might have had a negative impact on the staff and dampened our enthusiasm. We were under the assumption that such a luxury hotel would make their guests feel very welcomed and special. We were wrong.

Hotel Tremezzo is beautiful and elegant. From the pool, the gardens, the lobby and the lake area, it’s everything that you would expect from a hotel of this caliber on Lake Como. I found, though, that the service in some cases did not match up. The front desk, concierge, bar staff (a special thank you to Lucia and her male colleagues who were wonderful) and valet/doormen were helpful, friendly and attentive. Few servers were attentive during breakfast service except for today when apparently the owners were on the property. The service at the beach is awful and is not something I would ever expect from a hotel like this. Bottled water without an ice bucket sitting in the hot sun and consumed food not cleared for over an hour. No one comes by to check on you. We had a lake view prestige room with a balcony on the first floor. Well appointed and great view but you can definitely hear the cars passing by. Small bathroom but not terrible. Dinner at the hotel was delicious. They accommodated me with a salad to start because there wasn’t a first course that I could eat. The breakfast is truly overwhelming. Overall I would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel Tremezzo but I would tweak the attitudes of both the pool and lake staff.

We stayed for our 33rd anniversary, room 415, lake front. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and a nice note acknowledging our anniversary. Pros- Gorgeous setting- one of the most beautiful places we have been Fantastic breakfast - truly overwhelming Staff at the road assist with crossing, cars, bikes and super friendly. Candy bar in the lobby 3 pools Cons- Lack of pertinent info at check in (and in room) is a problem but is easily solved. Just want you to know what I wish I did and hope they will address. - Spa requires a reservation just to be inside - No water or sunscreen on site at pools and staff is not attentive so ask for service - Ice cream is 14 a scoop at lake pool, no sign, not attended and guests don’t understand The pool can be very loud with kids playing “Marco Polo” constantly. Old fashioned metal key (1) is provided and can be difficult to work No cream for coffee provided in room but ask for it and they will gladly bring it. Overall we enjoyed our stay! I did mention the need to inform guests about the spa policy when asked about our stay when leaving.
