Reviews for Fairmont Banff Springs

Continues to be a WOW

We got married in Banff in 2016 and held our reception at this beautiful Castle in the mountains.. it was spectacular then and has certainly not lost its charm. We returned for our 10 year wedding anniversary and stayed in a Fairmont gold room... Would not have it any other way. The extra touches you get staying on the gold floors is so worth it. The service from every member of staff we encountered was amazing, always having time to say hello and go out of there way to make recommendations (and not just for the hotel but on the local area as well). The bars are all so different, but equally good. We just used the main pool and in the snow it was so lovely. It was a little busy but there is so much space you never really felt like it was too busy.... And it remained peaceful. The staff were always on hand lifting and changing towels, always making sure there were plenty as people were coming from outside to on. This really is our castle on the Rockies and it's a total gem. The surroundings and hotel are just wow.. but the sparkle that makes this place is the staff. We will return.

Company Christmas Party was amazing at the Banff Springs!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Our company Christmas Party at the Fairmont Banff Springs was truly magical. The setting was breathtaking, the food and service were outstanding, and the events team made everything effortless from start to finish. Our staff are still talking about what a fantastic weekend it was. We loved it so much we will be hosting our 2026 Christmas Party at the Banff Springs. The Guest Reservations Team and our Conference Services Manager, Barb were amazing!

The Rocky Mountains after dark

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This evening we had the most amazing experience, seeing the rockies after dark. Our guide Alex was amazing and so knowledgable and helpful. This is one of the best things we have done and we are so glad we booked this trip. 100% worth doing. The locations we where taken to are some of the best spots you wouldn’t find by just wandering on your own, having a guide like Alex who is so passionate makes the experience extra special.

Another Amazing Experience at the Banff Springs

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We spend a long weekend at the Fairmont Banff Springs every November, and it continues to be our favourite Fairmont property. The hotel was as beautiful as ever, and the service across the board was consistently excellent. The Gold Floor Lounge was exceptional — the breakfast and canapés exceeded our expectations. We also enjoyed a great lunch at the Vermillion Room (the braised short rib poutine was outstanding), and had fantastic cocktails at the Rundle Bar — the mini crispy wings there are a must-try. We also had a chance to check out Grapes as a new pizza spot — highly recommend the Morty and the Polpette! It was wonderful to see the beginning of the Christmas decorations going up in the Stanley Thompson Wing, and we loved the new sitting area for playing games. Another incredible stay at the Castle in the Rockies. We can’t wait for next November.
