Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

Spectacular winter getaway!! Definitely expensive and worth every penny at this very exclusive hotel in an otherworldly setting. With a 'hotel guests only on the property' policy it feels very private, and it's big and diverse enough to spend a few days there without wanting to leave, and the new spa - Basin - was divine! Whether you're strolling on the frozen lake, skiing, spending the afternoon shopping in the hotel or at the spa with views of the glacier (and swimming in the 98 degree pool outdoors), or enjoying the daily afternoon s'moors on the deck, you will feel very special here.

What an amazing place! They lake is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. Our room was amazing with a beautiful view. The service is impeccable and the hotel offers a collection of restaurants and shops. It was a truly magical place to stay.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a Rocky Mountaineer trip. The hotel is amazing and all of the staff were wonderful. As soon as we checked in, we rented a canoe for an hour on the lake. Amazing! Room service was incredible and surprisingly reasonable for a luxury hotel. The concierge was very helpful in suggesting hikes. The shops were nice, but definitely stop by the bookstore. A truly eclectic selection and the owner is a character in the best sense. The grab and go cafe has a wonderful selection. So many tours stop by to see the lake, so you might think that there would be a pretentiousness about the place, but it is entirely welcoming. One of the nicest places we have ever been to.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The room, though small, was nicely appointed. And the view from the room of Lake Louise was spectacular. The bed was comfortable and cozy and the towels were thick and fluffy. We could not have asked for more. We dined at The Lakeview restaurant for a late lunch. I had had the BBQ Elk Ribs with an Elderberry BBQ sauce, Fried Shallots and Cucumber Mint Medley and Crispy Sweet Potatoes. It was delicious. My husband had the Fried Walleye and Chips(French fries) with a side salad. He really enjoyed it and I tried it and it was light and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked and moist and flaky. Since we are here celebrating our Anniversary they treated us to the dessert of our choice. We chose the Crustless Basque Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis. Also rich and delicious. It was more than adequate to share after our filling main courses. There is a path on part of the lake that is flat and easy to walk as well as trails that go up from the lake. They offer canoe rental which I am sure have amazing views from the lake. The hotel looks out over Lake Louise, with stunning views of Mount Victoria at the other end of the lake.

We had the pleasure of enjoying afternoon tea at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to celebrate a special birthday and an anniversary, and it was a truly memorable experience. The food was excellent, with a classic selection of delicious finger sandwiches, beautiful cakes and lovely, fluffy scones served with all the traditional accompaniments. The tea was wonderful, and a lovely glass of champagne made the occasion feel even more special. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service from Paige. She was friendly, attentive and professional, and made our celebration feel extra special from start to finish. The maitre’d was from a town 30 minutes from where we live in the UK - what a small world! Afternoon tea here is a real treat and one we would highly recommend if you’re visiting the Lake Louise area. A beautiful setting, wonderful food and exceptional service - the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
