Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

The view of Lake Louise from the front is incredible. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The view out our personal room was dreadful but was better than our friends' view. We looked out at the side of another building . We had requested a superior room. The coffee maker requires an engineering degree( luckily was had some engineers with us) to operate. And the bathroom fits one normal sized person at a time. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot. The window opened to enjoy fresh air. The restaurants will empty your wallet but the food is amazing. so come prepared to spend money on dining. We are seasoned travelers and have stayed from mom and pop hotels to 5 star resorts . This place has THE view. And it has the name... However,the value is not there. If I came to Lake Louise again, I would choose a local lesser known hotel and tour the lake area.

Location was beautiful right on the lake. Lakeside rooms are very small with a postage stamp sized shower room which nearly fits one person at a time. For the price this is not really acceptable. When it comes to dealing with food allergies and intolerances the approach at all establishments was to label all foods as a ‘cover’ and provide limited to no options for guests with dairy or gluten intolerances which made the stay less than enjoyable. Unfortunately it felt like only lip service was paid to any feedback given and some of the servicing staff seemed clueless on how to handle allergies which is a very serious matter. Overall expensive for the stay which was a box room with view and tricky navigation of food if you wanted to eat at the hotel

Still can’t move on from our experience at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The location is simply unbeatable, right on Lake Louise. Staying here made it so easy for us to watch the sunrise over the lake, walk along the Lake Louise trail, take the shuttle to Moraine Lake, enjoy lunch with a beautiful lake view, and start our Icefields Parkway scenic road trip. Having everything right at our doorstep made the whole experience so special. Breakfast at Louiza was amazing, and lunch at Fairview Restaurant was spotless and came with such a beautiful view. In room dining (3 times) was always high quality. We also received complimentary champagne and a cake for our anniversary, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. We stayed in a Junior Suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed, which was comfortable enough for 4 adults and 1 child. We will definitely come back someday.

Wow. What a view. We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise on our Rocky Mountaineer pre-train tour. Amazing building. Stunning views. Tbf our Fairmont room overlooked the rear carpark, not the glacier. The views from the restaurants and front lawn & terrace are amazing. Dinner also excellent. Staff very helpful. This is a hotel for a special occasion.

Wow! It’s my partners 60th. It’s just been amazing. When we checked in smitty was so welcoming. Then all the staff have just been so friendly. It’s totally genuine. Then we went on the canoe. That was fantastic. We had a welcome gift in our room for my partner. Which was so lovely. Then we were booked into the lake view restaurant. Everyone was so lovely. The food was delicious. The waitress who served us was so friendly. Then they made my partner a delicious birthday cake. The manager tracey came to introduce herself & welcome us. Everyone was so lovely. Then to top it they had a gift for my partner. Super kind! We were so blown away. Then when we got back to our room another gift of wine. This has been amazing. We will cherish the memories 💕
