Reviews for Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

Luxury Escape in Banff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Lake Louise did not melt all the way during our trip in June but it was still a phenomenal site to see. The hotel is situated right in front with separate parking and walking areas for guests. Our suite had a wonderful view of mountains and the lake but there was construction work being done in the window front which was not pleasant.

Beyond five star service for our family of four!

This is, without a doubt, one of the finest hotels we've ever stayed at, particularly from a service perspective (even compared to the last few Fairmont properties we visited.) And the location can't be beat -- you can start some of the best hikes in Banff, including the Lake Agnes and Plain of Six Glaciers hikes, before the tour bus crowds start rolling in. They're great with kids, too.

Exceptional engagement stay

My partner booked the fairmont as a surprise following his proposal the previous day. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Every single member of staff made us feel special and everyone genuinely cared. The room was breathtaking with the view over the lake and the breakfast was exceptional. The Basin spa was the cherry on the top with views over the lake and provided a calm experience to end our stay. I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank the staff enough for how special they made our stay. We will both cherish the memories forever. Thank you ❤️

Super setting - incredible beauty

We did a day trip from Fairmont Banff Springs. Got dropped off at 9 and picked up at 530. Left the busyness of the main area of the Chateau and went for a huge hike past the tea house and went to the top of Big Beehive. Then had an exceptional lunch at the Lakeview. Server Brooke was super friendly and helpful - signature Caesar salad and roasted chicken. Then onto the bar where Erik and Supervisor Junie offered great service. Flowers on this property , in conjunction with the beauty of the setting was impressive.

Elegant and beautiful!

Fantastic stay at this Fairmont. We splurged for this portion of our trip with 2 nights here while in Lake Louise. The rooms are gorgeous, well appointed with a frig and nespresso maker. Even without a Plage view, you’ll be memorized looking out your windows anyway. Great easy access safe in room, comfy robes, staff all know your name and are the most gracious I’ve ever come across. Great bed and activities like mixology and music up on the terrace. Can’t say enough about this place! Awesome food options as well!

At Chateau Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, the many delights of this mini-vacation began with the views of beautiful Lake Louise from our luxurious room on the Gold Floor. Our days were filled with cross-country skiing, invigorating hikes in the snow, afternoon high tea, evening happy hours, and a fantastic birthday dinner at Poppie's Restaurant in the Chateau! All this was made even more enjoyable by the ever friendly and helpful hotel staff. What was the highlight of this trip? How can we choose - we loved it all!
