Lovely hotel but overpriced for what you get. Rooms overcrowded with furniture. Pool too cold and other spa facilities not working properly.

Perfect relaxation spot!

Our third trip and the first since the ownership change. We felt right at home just as we did the first time walking in. Will definitely return. The room is comfortable, every detail is anticipated from the fire set in the fireplace to the bath salts. Perfect place to relax, explore the area, or just sit and listen to the river go by.

Well Located

Well located for ski area, Lakes Louise and Moraine. Shuttle service to Lake Louise hourly is great as is the service to Lake Moraine for a small charge.

Good location for Lake Louise and Moraine Lake

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting the area. We had a suite which had 2 huge beds, a lounge area complete with fireplace. There have been some negative comments about train noise. All I can say is it didn't keep us awake and its not constant. Bathroom was lovely as you'd expect. There is a turn down service which includes 2 bottles water and homemade flapjack each day. The pool area is great. Jacuzzi was lovely & hot & surprisingly quiet for late afternoon. I used it twice. Changing rooms and towels. Staff were very friendly. I would have given it a 5 but for 2 points. Firstly, the restaurant only has a limited menu Sundays & Mondays which happend to be 2 of our 3 nights. So we ordered room service. It was only a cold starter & a small snack with 2 drinks. Took 1 1/4 hours to arrive which I thought was a tad long. 2nd point we went for the buffet breakfast first morning. Not a lot of choice cold ham/cheese nothing to go with it. Pastries not wonderful and some of the fruit & yogurt had run out. Chloe the server was very good & did go to the kitchen to replenish for me as they seemed to be concentrating on A la carte orders. Hot selection not great either. If you want a really good buffet breakfast go over to The Lake Louise Inn there's a restaurant there that does it & its $10 per head cheaper & the waitress offered us coffee to go... The pub attached to the hotel as excellent , great food and service. It is completely closed same days as main restaurant. Gets very busy. Some of the menu is the same as restaurant.

Almost perfect

The hotel is very cozy and the staff very accomodating. Just a few gripes, housekeeping comes at 3 PM and turndown service comes at 6PM. Requesting a different time, not always done. I understand the hotel needs to get the rooms ready for the arriving guests, but that leaves the guests already there getting no service. Room cleanup haphazard, sometimes the fireplace was cleaned and restocked, other days not, vacuuming rarely done, kind of spit and polish. Amenities replaced sometimes, not others. Everyone just helped themselves for what they needed off the carts left outside the rooms. The public spaces were lovely and quiet. The restaurant staff was very personable. Wish they offered something resembling a true continental breakfast,ie rolls and tea. After 6 nights the breakfasts became too much, though delicious. Probably should've asked for something smaller. Very nice not to have to eat the tasting menu every night as hotel guests. The portions on the tasting menu the same as a la carte. Few men wearing jackets, business casual for mostly everyone. The area itself is overun with tourists. Those pristine lakes pictures, don't reflect the angling to cut out the masses. We were here years ago and Canadian tourism has spiked. The overcrowding at the sites made coming back to the Post so great (even if our rooms not made up) and we wanted a nap post hike. Can't do better in the area.
