Post Hotel & Spa Lake Louise

Very poor room (201) based on having purchased expensive Executive Suite. Aside from working fireplace, this is barely an acceptable ‘double’ room - its small, quirky shaped corner room and cramped small bathroom. Only one set of small windows … No balcony as described and as personally seen in our friends executive suites, including their two separate rooms and 1.5 bathrooms with 2 separate toilets. Do not accept Rm 201, especially as it is entirely ‘oversold and undelivered’ as an executive suite. A very antiquated noisy, ineffectual a/c unit in room. Set at 68 … never got the room to below 76… old wall unit, ineffectual. This room (so-called executive suite) is NOT of Relais & Chateau standards. It’s a lie.

The Post Hotel brings back the classic Mountain Lodge experience! The hotel is set in the most picturesque spot with the river running just steps from our room and the mountains a beautiful backdrop. The accommodations were warm and comfortable, the staff respectful, friendly and very helpful. We ate at the Outdoor Pub on premises and had a great meal. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!

We loved it here…….. Great place to stay with excellent service and friendly people! Nice walks and views. Recommended!!!

A great hotel with wonderful staff. Easy shuttles to our hikes and great atmosphere to unwind after them. I highly recommend.

There are a lot of positives to our 1 night stay here - - great shuttle service to lake Louise - dinner Service at the pub diner attached to hotel was good - the room itself was nicely decorated. However, sadly all of this was overshadowed by: - in room 404, we got virtually no sleep because of the noise of the trains passing close by throughout the night. I don’t think we have ever complained about external noise in hotels previously, as we can sleep through most things. But not here, with the trains. - lack of empathy from the reception lady as we left. She did not ask how the stay was. when we told her about our experience, she really did not seem to care. Poor. Make sure you ask for a room on the other side of the hotel from the train track
