Experience a masterpiece of modern architecture on the cliff of the Buergenberg within a fully integrated resort, located 1.800 ft high above Lake Lucerne and yet only 30 min away from the city center of Lucerne. This 140 acre resort including the hotel has been a legend since 1873, due to it fine pioneering heritage (Switzerland's first electric railway, Europe's highest outdoor Elevator) and first and foremost, the link to glamour and celebrity: It was here that, Audrey Hepburn was married, Charlie Chaplin regularly stayed, Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti made their home and many more celebrities, politicians, etc. returned year on year.

I don’t even know where to start, but I truly have to thank each and every one of the team members at Bürgenstock Resort for making our stay so memorable. I planned this trip to celebrate my partner’s birthday and wanted to organize a surprise for him. From the very beginning, the Guest Experience Team, especially Fabio and Carla, supported me with every detail ,from the room decoration to the full plan , all perfectly arranged before our arrival. Because of them, I didn’t feel stressed at all. They truly represent the real meaning of luxury hospitality. Upon check-in, Tony assisted us with our luggage and gave us a lovely tour of the room. Throughout our stay, he checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect and shared great recommendations about the resort and nearby activities. On the day of our departure, Aitor from the front desk went above and beyond by helping us book a table at Spices Terrace and arranging our shuttle ride , the check-out process was smooth and warm, leaving us with the best final impression. From the pre-arrival planning to our last moments at the resort, everyone made us feel so special. The whole team listened carefully to what I wanted, and the results were even better than I expected. Thank you all once again for making my partner’s birthday celebration truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

I visited one of the most luxurious spas in the world on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland and here is ny experience. First of all the arrival process is so white lotus, first you have to take a fancy private ferry to the island and then a funicular elevator to the top. After you check in you'll be shown to the locker room, you get a robe and a gushy flip flops to walk around in. Now what I love is one of the relaxing lounges had unlimited fruit, tea and snacks to munch on while you enjoy. The day pass gets you access to all the pools and the saunas. They even have a huge mixed gender nudist area so you can do naked saunas, hot tubs and a nude cold plunge in the middle of the mountains. Which is probably one of the most exhilarating experience I've ever had. There's so many relaxing areas that feels like heaven, you re literally swimming above the clouds in the Alps with some of the best views I’ve ever seen in my life. I almost cried when I got to the corner, this was the perfect spot for manifesting and just soaking in every single drop of relaxation. It’s also really cool being so high up because the weather changed a lot through the day, at one point we were literally in a rain cloud and then the sun came out and it was beautiful.

Beautiful hotel with splendid rooms. Outstanding staff that were very attentive and helpful. Plenty to do on the property or in the locale. I very much enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is in an incredible location high above Lake Lucerne, with views of Lucerne, Mt Pilatus and Mt Rigi. The resort is actually made up of several properties; we stayed at the Burgenstock itself - which is quite large - in the original building. The original building is nearby the larger newer part of the hotel, where the restaurants and spa/pools are located. The older building has been totally remodeled to be quite modern inside, though it doesn’t have the large windows of the newer building. The spa is great, as is the indoor/outdoor infinity pool. Further up is the traditional Hollywood pool (early Hollywood design) with great views and wonderful gardens - but the water is cold (unless you are from the UK- those guests found it pleasant). There is a free funicular down to Lake Lucerne and a free large catamaran to Lucerne itself (it’s very easy and runs often and you get a free lake tour out of it). There is also what is apparently the highest outdoor elevator in Europe to take you to the top of the ridge where the hotel is located (there is a walking path from the hotel to get there; there is a fee for the elevator but it is not expensive). The service and food are both excellent, with nice views. There are other restaurants in other buildings in the resort, including an Italian restaurant as part of the small golf course on the property. Access to Mt Titlis and Mt Pilatus is easy from the resort.
