It was a wonderful experience. Unique location and view. Absolutely warm and attentive staff. Nothing was missing. The attentions for our anniversary were also very pleasing. The buildings, surroundings and spa are simply phenomenal! We can only recommend the Palace and we will definitely be back!

The customer service at this place is amazing. The rooms are up to date and the spa is the best part. The breakfast was delicious and water was included in the room which is always an important thing for us. The views you get from the spa and the room are breath taking. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful wedding experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We spent 3 days at the Burgenstock Hotel for a family wedding. Every interaction we had with the resort was positive. My initial reservation was only made for 2 days (that my have been user error!) and the dates were quickly fixed. We were traveling from the US and I was a little nervous about figuring out how to get to the hotel. I contacted the hotel with questions I had about the boat and funicular and had a quick response which helped me feel confident enough to attempt public transportation- which I highly recommend! From the Zurich airport, you take 2 escalators down to the train station and purchase a ticket to Luzerne. The ride takes you through rolling green hills and views of lakes. The ride is smooth and quiet. Once in Luzern, you exit the train station and cross the street to the boat dock. The resort boat then ferry's you across an incredibly picturesque lake to the funicular, which deposits you right outside the hotel lobby. There is a covered walkway from the check-in to the Heritage building where we stayed with an incredible view of the ALPs. The room was simple and elegant, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and everything was kept in immaculate condition. We were quite exhausted upon arrival and the remote control, light blocking shades worked incredibly well at blocking out light. The room itself is well insulated from sound and we had no problems sleeping. Everyone we interacted with at the resort was incredibly polite and attentive, from the boat and funicular operators, to the front desk, to cleaning and turn down crew to the waitstaff in the restaurant and at the wedding events. We were there for a short amount of time and chose to use our time when we weren't attending wedding events to explore Lucerne and enjoy a hike so I can't speak to the Spa and Pool but members of our party who partook of those options were highly satisfied. The golf course had also just opened and was spoken highly of by those who enjoyed a few holes. The Breakfast was perfect and supplied many options but I could have been satisfied with the bread and cheese alone! My one regret was that we weren't able to enjoy the Spice restaurant, I love Indian and Thai food and I was looking forward to sampling it. I can say that the food and drinks provided for the wedding contributed to the overall experience. Everything was delicious. The resort buildings and setting are so beautiful that even when we woke up in a literal rain cloud, an occurrence that I understand is not uncommon, we were content to spend our time in the room and the resort. I only wish we had more time! It was a beautiful weekend.
