Fells like my home on Lake Maggiore
This is my 4th stay at Villa Aminta because it felt like home when I first arrived and still does. If you want a truly Italian property, this is the property for you. It is located outside of the tourist zone in Stresa but has a pier to arrange private water taxis to the islands or anywhere else on Lake Maggiore. They have beautiful suites and rooms with lake view at a fraction of the cost that you would spend on Lake Como. The staff is attentive and makes you feel like family from the moment you enter to the moment you depart. The hotel offers a courtesy shuttle to/from Stresa center as well as a cute grotto spa. Absolutely love this property and dream of the day I will return again.

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff
Lovely hotel right on lake Maggiore with amazing views. The hotel itself is a gorgeous villa with a beautiful collection of art and Murano glass chandeliers. Ask for a tour! Staff is very accommodating, friendly and unobtrusive, so helpful. Food at the hotel is great with seating on the lake. There is a shuttle to downtown stresa that runs on a schedule. Be sure to ask for late evening shuttle. Front desk recommended a great pizza place one night and made me a reservation for a hair appointment and taxi at a great little Hair Cafe! We had a wonderful stay.

Bellisimo Hotel
This was our third time here. The hotel continues to be a favorite. The rooms are lovely overlooking Lago Maggiore. The customer service is over the top. Stresa is reachable by hotel shuttle. The scenery is like a post card. We'll definitely itely be back.

great traditional hotel! BRAVO ! very nice restaurant with fantastig food, and fabulous service! We had the junior suite with a good balcony and nice view of the isola bella and pescatori.
