I became a Stash member 7 or 8 years ago when staying at the Riverside Hotel in Ft Lauderdale. Since that time, I've also stayed at one in San Diego and Lenox, MA. Never have I been disappointed. The staff is reliably helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the food offerings are affordable and delicious.

Placid is a great place for a family get together. 30+ of us have been alternating between beach and woods family week trips for the last 9 years. After our trip to Placid we unanimously decided to visit next year as well. This is the first time we will be visiting a place twice. Not only twice, but two summers in a row! There is so much to do. You cannot do it all in one trip. Worth more than a visit.

Staying here from August 24th to August 26th (for 2 nights). Positives: - The hotel is beautiful & the location is perfect. - Pet friendly Negatives: - Our room was dirty upon arrival (the entrance to our room’s floor was dirty & sticky), there was food remnants in the fridge, towels in the bathroom were dirty & stained.. - The amount of mould in the bathroom was shocking. See pictures.. We messaged the resort upon noticing & offered pictures but no follow up was done & nothing was offered other than to have housekeeping come in while we were there to clean the room.. (we arrived late and had our service dog with us & therefore declined housekeeping) In summary we likely wouldn’t stay here again, especially given the price of the stay & how dirty & technically a health hazard our room is..

Great family vacation hotel. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and events. Across the street from pool and lake access. We enjoyed using the paddle boats. Ryan at check in was wonderful.

First visit here. Was some confusion at check in. Language barrier with the front desk employee and I had to keep asking same question over and over and she had to call for help. She was friendly though. I didn't know that the building I was staying in had no elevator and the steps were tough for my elderly mother and I. This should be explained when make reservation. However, overall stay was lovely. Had great view from the room and the bathroom was large and enjoyed the large bathtub. Was able to park right in front of door to steps to go to room and that was good. Able to walk to shops on main street which was only a few steps away from building was in. Stayed in April and hotel was not busy so it was very quiet which was nice. The maintenance employee that had to replace broken coffee maker was nice. Easy to find the main hotel and nice to be near restaurants and shopping. Would stay again but maybe a different room so would not have to use all the steps.
