We had a great stay with our dog at The Lake House in Lake Placid. Your willingness to accept pet guests was what drove our decision to stay with you. The hotel was very quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and the view was amazing. We dined at The Dancing Bear for dinner and breakfast and both meals were very good. The staff we encountered at both check in and in the restaurant were polished and professional and they took great care of us. The woman at the desk's recommendation for where to take our dog snowshoeing was perfect and we had an amazing time. Our dog was thoroughly tired out afterwards which worked great for us so we could go explore town for a couple of hours before we departed. Thank you so much - it was our 19th anniversary and we will be back next year for the 20th!

Pure magic! The hotel is perfectly located right on the main strip of shops and restaurants. Even during slippery conditions, we found it easy to travel the indoor stairs through The Dancing Bear restaurant right out to the street. Right across the street from Lake Mirror and the park with gorgeous views of Mirror Lake Inn lit for the holidays. We stayed in the main building of the resort and it was clean (I haven’t encountered any mold issues), the staff friendly accommodating and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. They text with their guests and we were able to easily get a roll away bed and a microwave delivered to our room. We especially enjoyed the free painting class they offered to guests. My husband and I had a great time painting and made beautiful portraits (and I am not a painter!) to take home as a memory. It was really special! My teens enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. They played for a good while in the snow in the courtyard too. Parking was super easy too. We enjoyed the cozy feel of the lake house lobby, where there’s a pool table, ample space to lounge and play games, and just an overall charming, modern space to watch the snow. We also enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire pit. I can’t say enough good things! This place is a gem and I look forward to returning.
