High Price Low Upkeep

The facilities are in horrible condition. Everything from the furniture to the flooring was worn and in definite need of a total renovation.

Lovely Setting, Poor Value for the Price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The lakeside setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the premium price of the waterfront rooms. Before booking, we specifically asked whether the waterfront rooms were quiet and were told they were. What was not disclosed is that nearly all of the waterfront rooms (excluding suites) are connecting rooms. The sound insulation between the connecting doors was so poor during our stay that we could hear our neighbors talking, sneezing, moving around, and other everyday noises. It made relaxing and sleeping difficult. Other disappointments included: • Arriving to find a bag of dog waste sitting on the porch outside our room. • Housekeeping did not service our room after we removed the Do Not Disturb sign and left for the afternoon. When we called, we were told the waterfront building operates more like a satellite property to explain the lesser housekeeping attention compared to the main hotel. That was particularly disappointing given the higher rates for this room category. • We completed a mid-stay survey sent by the hotel but never received a response or follow-up. • There is no elevator access to the waterfront rooms, requiring guests to carry luggage up and down stairs. The waterfront location is truly lovely, but at these prices we expected better communication, housekeeping, responsiveness, and soundproofing.

Great but needs updating

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean but definitely in need of updates especially lakefront outdoor pool. Some peeking pain in bathroom
