Our hotel is located on the enthralling Langkawi island or sometimes known as Legendary island as it is enshrouded with legends and myths. It is an archipelago of 104 islands overlooking the panoramic Andaman Sea and Straits of Malacca. This island derived its name from the abundance of eagles on the island.

The service here is second to none. Incredible location and delightful outlook. My partner and I loved the place’s opulence but also friendliness. We had great conversations with different guests and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Top-tier amenities too.

My husband and I are fortunate enough to have stayed at many 5-star hotels but we have to say that The Danna is one of the best luxury hotels we have ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived at Langkawi airport, we were treated with superb service. The team welcomed us with warm hospitality and always with a smile. All the staff from housekeeping to management were so incredibly friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was more beautiful and larger than what we had anticipated. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the breath-taking view from our room was priceless. We had dinner at the Nyona restaurant and we were very happy with the food. The price was reasonable and the sampler dinner was delicious. Breakfast buffet had a lot of selections but was just average. There is room for improvement. Noodle soup should be served hot and not lukewarm. Fruit selections were not impressive. That being said, most hotels are not known for their buffets anyway. In our opinion, The Danna still beats many luxury hotels, even those in Hawaii. We highly recommend this small luxury hotel to anyone who wants a special place to relax and rejuvenate. It was outstanding! We loved it!

We were a family of 4 adults and the Danna looked after us very well. The staff try hard and were generally very pleasant and professional. We had a slight issue with our room, and when approached with our dissatisfaction, the front desk were quick to find a solution that was satisfactory and made what could have been a bit of a disaster a very happy resolution indeed. The best dining option at the resort is its Italian restaurant. The main buffet coffee house area was fine, but the Peranakan restaurant had poor service and the food was below average. We ate there on the first night of our 7-night stay and never went back again. There are lots of good excursions - we went on a couple organized by their tour vendor, Jungle Wallah and enjoyed them. Overall, we would return to the Danna again.

My wife and I have been here three days of a four week stay and would like to make mention of how helpful all the staff are with, at this time, a special boost for DAL who serves in Planters and is a beacon of happiness at breakfast.

We had a 3 person room for me and two kids. We upgraded for ocean view and could watch the boats, sea and islands. The kids had a lot of fun in the gigantic pool that has areas for all ages. The staff was great, the food was very good and the ice cream was out of this world. We were able to get a 'hospitality room' since late check out was not available which allowed up to get some rest after the pool and before our late afternoon flight. Fun fact: you can rent a Ferrari or a Porsche, but we didn't (no 3 seater).
