The Danna Langkawi, Malaysia

Beautiful colonial style hotel which is presented impeccably and with great facilities for a really relaxing holiday. Great pool area including for kids. Three restaurants offering good standard and varying cuisine. Hotel is some distance from the main, very lively beach area but is not hard or expensive to taxi there. It is very close to one of Langkawi’s main attractions, the cable car and suspended walkway offering spectacular views.

Amazing experience throughout our stay. Had the best Lunch at The Terrace. Couple spa session is the highlight for our stay. We were truly pampered by the Staff there. Walks along the beach, spending our time at the Verandah while listening to the Live Music made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall an amazing time spent for our 10th Year Anniversary. The Danna Langkawi is excellent. The people, the facilities, the restaurants, the food, the spa, our room - they were all exceptional. My husband and I chose The Grand Viceroy Seaview Room for our anniversary and we felt pampered throughout our stay. The Housekeeping Team was attentive and accommodative. Food we had at the Terrace and Planters were delicious, satisfying and exquisite, combined. I also experienced the Warm Oil massage at The Spa. Madam Husnul, the therapist, was so good, I felt rejuvenated immediately. To Nik Nur, Yashini, Husnul, Adam, Din (he offered to take our photos when he saw us 'struggling' 😁 and he took pretty pictures), Pi'ee and others (wish I'd remembered and written down all their names), thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. You've made our anniversary truly memorable and special.

Everything was great , we really enjoyed our stay . Breakfast was great , hotel is very clean and spacious . We loved it . It is a bit expensive , but maybe because high season

Wow wow wow. I was dubious when I first turned through the gates but it was late at night after a long journey. However… The welcome we received was incredible and the rooms were amazing. We had a large king bedroom with a wonderful balcony overlooking the pool on the top floor. Our time by the pool was wonderful with the staff being so friendly and helpful. The food by the pool was wonderful too. We had Rendang on our first evening which was to die for. I highly recommend trying all the restaurants which are very different. My favourite dish was the chocolate lava cake with salted caramel ice cream - incredible. The pasta was wonderful too. My spa experience was just beautiful with a traditional Malay massage for my wife and facials for my son and myself. My only less than positive point was that they served a vanilla ice cream rather than the salted caramel on the last night - this is by no means a fault just the salted caramel went perfectly with the chocolate lava cake. Choose your spot carefully for the pool if you want shade - in my opinion under the Frangapani trees in the middle is best. Make use of the reading room for a quiet coffee and catch up as this is a beautiful space too. All in all 100%. Highly recommended thank you to everyone who looked after us.
