The Danna Langkawi, Malaysia

The staff's hospitality is outstanding. The massage service offered during check-in was a first for me—a pleasant surprise. At the restaurant, I was also surprised to receive a chocolate gift on our final night. After check-out, they suggested ways to make the most of our time before our flight and even let us use a room for showering and changing clothes afterward, which was incredibly helpful. This hotel feels thoroughly committed to staff hospitality training and maintaining spotless facilities. I've stayed at the island's other two world-renowned hotels, but The Danna provided the most satisfying experience. I should also note that both the accommodation costs and restaurant menu prices are very fair. Furthermore, Japanese staff are always on hand, making it a great recommendation for Japanese guests concerned about language barriers.

We have just come back from a 2 week break at The Danna. This is the fourth year in a row that we have been to this fantastic hotel. In fact we are making arrangements to return next year! The cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms is superb but what sets this hotel apart is the wonderful attitude of the staff from the moment you arrive until departure. It is wrong to single out names but on arrival the GM came to say hello and we had amazing support from Zureimy, Syakirah, Fuad and Mariko but there are many others who make it so enjoyable to be there. It's a great location, easy from the airport and a great swimming pool. We look forward to returning!

Our stay at The Danna Langkawi was truly exceptional from start to finish. The location is perfect—nestled at Telaga Harbour Marina with stunning views of the Andaman Sea and lush green hills surrounding the property. It feels peaceful and private, yet it’s conveniently close to attractions like the Langkawi Sky Bridge and cable car. The setting strikes a beautiful balance between tranquility and accessibility. The quality of the staff is what truly sets The Danna apart. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. From the seamless check-in experience to thoughtful housekeeping touches and excellent restaurant service, the hospitality felt sincere and personalized rather than scripted. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure comfort and satisfaction. The beach and pool amenities are outstanding. The private beach is clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing walks or simply enjoying the sunset. The infinity pool—one of the largest in Langkawi—is absolutely stunning, with plenty of loungers and attentive poolside service. The overall facilities are beautifully maintained, blending colonial elegance with modern luxury. The Danna delivers a five-star experience in every sense, and we would return without hesitation.

This was our third visit to this hotel. Our go-to destination. Wonderful, luxurious rooms, best swimming pool ever. Staff so lovely and friendly; Mr Fuad you looked after us so well, as always, as did Wahida and the Head of the Planters restaurant (last year’s Mr Limoncello!) We were lucky to be there for the hotel’s 15th anniversary celebrations - Santa’s arrival on a Harley Davison and the local school children singing Christmas carols was such a memorable moment. Compliments also to the Patisserie Chef - your Xmas cake gift was totally delicious. Fabulous entertainment every evening in the bar with the wonderful duo Azlin and Azlan. Five stars to you all and hope to be back one day soon.
