The Danna Langkawi, Malaysia

This stay was our third trip to Langkawi and the first staying at the Danna. I booked the hotel directly with the hotel and had excellent communication from the hotel from the time of booking to our arrival. Our stay was from 13th to 18th September. Right from the very outset the hotel staff made us very welcome and very quickly all staff members knew our names. Service throughout the hotel was impeccable. Our room (a Grand Viceroy Sea View) was very spacious, the bathroom huge and the bed comfortable. There was also a nice balcony with two full sized sun loungers. Planters restaurant was our favourite for both breakfast and dinner. I particularly like the fact that the hotel has detailed menus on its website for all F&B venues. The pool area is really nice with attentive service as and when required. We also had a pedicure in the Spa which was very relaxing.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Danna. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel incredibly welcome. From the porters, concierges & reception team to housekeeping, the F&B staff & the Resort Manager, everyone was professional, warm & cheerful, & nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Remarkably staff appeared to know which room we were staying in, how long we had been there & even how much time remained of our holiday. We were made to feel very special, something we saw being extended to all guests throughout our stay. We're not usually ones for any fuss, but all the thoughtful touches were delivered so discreetly and naturally that it simply enhanced the experience. Our room (419), a Grand Marina View room, was exceptionally spacious & comfortable, with a king-size bed, armchairs, dressing table, two wardrobes, plenty of storage, a large balcony & a large bathroom with a bathtub, walk-in rain shower & double sinks. We also appreciated the daily replenishment of filtered water, Nespresso pods & TWG tea bags, along with delicious gluten-free (GF) sweet treats to accommodate a dietary requirement. Housekeeping was outstanding throughout (with special thanks to Karmila, Fatin & Amim for their excellent service). We received lovely little personalised notes & even a birthday banner, balloons & a GF cake! It was very much appreciated. Throughout our stay staff were busy on a daily basis maintaining & cleaning the property inside and out. The pool, gardens, beach & guest areas throughout were all spotless. The gym was well equipped & spacious & the Spa was also very good. The restaurants were all superb (especially The Terrace) & catered for allergens very well; staff awareness & knowledge of ingredients made us feel confident we were in safe hands. Special thanks to Hakimi, Ilah, Fatihah, the Chefs & all the F&B team. We're just sorry we can't remember everyone's names to mention individually - Resort Manager Fuad Hamzah appears to have a great team of staff. Many thanks again to everyone.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dana in Langkawi. The quality of the hotel and rooms is fantastic. The private beach and views of the Andaman Sea are stunning. Very well maintained hotel with a really charming old world luxury feel. Amenities, pool and F&B are top notch. The best part is how well the staff looked after all the guests. Special shout out to Saiful and Donna for taking very good care of us and making our stay comfortable.

This hotel is stunning — comfy beds, lovely amenities, a great overall setup. But what truly made the trip special was the staff. Piee made check-in smooth and welcoming, Wani in Food & Beverage was fantastic, and the wait staff across all the on-site restaurants were consistently kind and attentive. Maknah at the spa gave a wonderful experience, and Donna made checkout just as pleasant as check-in was. There were several other team members whose names I didn’t catch, but every interaction added to how memorable this stay was. Genuine hospitality like this is rare, and it’s clear the whole team takes pride in it. Already looking forward to my next visit!
